John is joined again by Sean Fox to discuss a huge and difficult topic, The History Of Early Christianity.  They point out many discrepancies and issues of this period including, most, if not all of the books attributed to the apostles were not written by them.  Alternative views existed but were labeled as heresy such as Gnosticism.  Many of the popes were not good people, but  very flawed, greedy and in some cases depraved. During this living resurrection they experienced a transformative awakening that revealed the nature of reality and the purpose of the soul. John and Jordan from the Night Time Podcast and Halifax Nova Scotia conclude their recap of season 4 covering episodes 12, 13, 14 and the two hour final episode 15 as well as a “Drilling Down” episode the week after the season finale. John and co-host Sean Fox talk about the origins of the first crusade.  There are lots of things most people don’t know or understand about the underlying reasons of why and what actually took place. Sean and John discuss mainly the first crusade while also touching on a few events later. The first of the Crusades began in 1095, when armies of Christians from Western Europe responded to Pope Urban II’s plea to go to war against Muslim forces in the Holy Land.  After the First Crusade succeeded with the capture of Jerusalem in 1099, the invading Christians set up several Latin Christian states, even as Muslims in the region vowed to wage holy war (jihad) to regain control over the region. The First Crusade was followed by the Second to the Ninth Crusades. It was also the first major step towards reopening international trade in the West since the fall of the Western Roman Empire. Due to the First Crusade being largely concerned with Jerusalem, a city which had not been under Christian dominion for 461 years, and that the crusader army, on seizure of lands, had refused to honor a brokered promise before the seizure to return gained lands to the control of the Byzantine Empire, the status of the First Crusade as defensive or aggressive in nature remains unanswered and controversial. An out-of-body experience (OBE) can be extremely frightening, or it can be enlightening and even pleasurable. The thought of somehow being out of one’s body brings to mind the possibility of dying, or perhaps losing one’s mind.  What is happening just does not make sense, at least, according to what we have normally experienced throughout our lives.  On the other hand, some adventuresome individuals consider and OBE an opportunity to explore areas of their existence. The term out-of-body experience is relatively new.  It replaced other terms including astral projection or soul traveling.  Apparently, many triggers can induce an OBE including lack of sleep, drugs, and the experience of coming close to death.  Although this may seem strange to those of us that are less adventuresome, they can also be intentionally brought about through various means. William Buhlman in his book “Adventures Beyond The Body” describes how he discovered the process of OBE’s.  He believes he has developed a system to safely bring about an OBE. Many of us have experienced some of the sensations that are often associated with OBE’s including being jolted awake, hearing buzzing sounds, feeling vibrations, and flying in a dream.  A reliable experience associated with OBE’s is seeing through closed eyelids. John and guest host Lisa Franz of Arizona discuss the bizarre story of the Stardust Ranch in Rainbow Valley Arizona, not far from Lisa’s residence. John and Joyce Edmonds from Illinois, wanted to find a location to start a horse rescue ranch.  After having searched for a ranch they can afford without luck for two years, they finally discover a ranch in their price range in Rainbow Valley Arizona they buy and call “Stardust Ranch”.  Strange events happen from the beginning with the previous occupants leaving behind all of their possessions that somehow end up in the pool outside.  A strange man with a machete turns up saying he is the one who keeps the monsters away.  Not long after that first day moving to the ranch, the Edmonds would see first hand the monsters the knife wielding stranger was talking about!  The story keeps getting stranger and stranger starting with orbs appearing outside at night, then UFOs as well as “Brillo men”,  Grey Aliens and even Roman Soldiers strolling through the property suggesting a possible time travel element.  John claims there are two portals on the property where “beings from other dimensions” constantly come through to our dimension.  John claims the Greys did inappropriate things to his wife so he took action and attacked them with a sword, killing several and even getting tissue samples from one.  As the visits of the Greys become frequent, Joyce levitates so often that John must anchor her to the bed!   Bobby Mackey’s Music World is a nightclub located in Wilder, Kentucky, United States owned by country singer Bobby Mackey.  Urban legends claim the nightclub is the site of hauntings, murders, and suicides, however no credible evidence exists for the death claims. Promoted in popular culture as “the most haunted night club in America”,  Mackey claims the site was originally used as a slaughterhouse in the early 19th century and later torn down for construction of a roadhouse that took on various names, such as The Brisbane, until he purchased it in 1978. Various urban legends and modern folklore claim that the site features a “gateway to hell” and is haunted by spirits including Pearl Bryan, whose corpse was found in a field 2.5 miles from the site in Fort Thomas, Kentucky.  Other legends claim Bryan’s murderers were Satanists who cursed the location and vowed to haunt everyone involved in prosecuting the case.  There is also a legend that claims a pregnant dancer named “Johanna” committed suicide with poison in the 1950s after her father murdered her lover Robert Randall, a singer at the club, by hanging him in the dressing room. Investigations have failed to find public records of any such events, and research into property records, newspapers, and court files has failed to substantiate claims made regarding the history of the location. No connection between Bobby Mackey’s and the Pearl Bryan murder has ever been established.
