In VM #9 Decorating Our Home For The Glory Of God, I talk about why it's important as homemakers to decorate our homes from a ministry mindset. The very decor that we hang on our walls can be a silent witness for those who come into our lives and homes. In the first part of this episode I discuss why it is personally important for me and my family to decorate our house to glorify God. In VM #5: Raising Kids With A Ministry Mindset, I talk about raising our kids with a mindset of serving God and others. Training our children to be mighty in Spirit and one day to be shot out as arrows to spread the Gospel throughout the world. Training for a ministry mindset starts with us as homemakers teaching our children to serve in the home by doing chores, serving others both in the house and in the community, and looking for opportunities to help and serve others during the normal routine of our lives. As homemakers it's also important to recognize any gifts or talents God has given our children. It is important for us to recognize these gifts and help foster them in anyway we can while also the emphasizing them to have a ministry mindset in any career path they choose. Some examples I discuss are: JOY: Jesus first, Others second, Yourself last Having a writing ministry Web design ministry Recognizing your children's talents and using them to serve the Lord Being a witness when out in public doing your routine things like going to the grocery store, the bank, or garage sales.
