But I overcame my fears -and am so glad I did! Such fun! My eldest daughter (age 9) was big enough to zip line alone - the brave girl even went first! But my youngest (7 yo) was tandem with me. Palo Duro Canyon is just outside the city limits of Amarillo, Texas. The second largest canyon in the US, Palo Duro Canyon is a terrific family travel alternative to the Grand Canyon.
