We open the show up talking about the ridiculous war between San Diego Comic-Con and Salt Lake Comic Comic-Con over the use of the word Comic-Con. We move to more con talk with the announcement that Mile High Comics is not going to be going to San Diego Comic Con for the first time in 44 years. We move into talking about whether movie studios are pandering to overseas audiences instead of the US. With ticket sales for the new Transformers movie and The Mummy, it is hard to argue. We give reasons why The Last Jedi could be the best Star Wars movie yet. We can only hope. We move onto more movie news when Time ranks all the Spider-Man movies. Do we agree with the rankings? There has been a lot of information coming out recently about the Han Solo movie, and we start this episode by diving in head first to discuss it. Next, we talk about Darth Vader almost having a cameo, as an action figure, in Guardians of the Galaxy, which then leads us down a path of pure nostalgia. We follow that by discussing the possibility of Captain Britain coming to the MCU, the likelihood of a Superman: Red Son live action film, and a new season of the Young Justice cartoon. Next up, we talk about some news regarding the upcoming Judge Dredd TV series, a new Tremors series, and the Fast and the Furious 9. We then finish up the episode with a chat about a fan theory regarding Spider-Man in Ironman 2, and then talk about the Star Wars: Forces of Destiny cartoon.

Next, we talk about the adorkable Bob Ross Funko Pop figure that was recently announced before moving on to an in-depth discussion about some of the games announced at E3. Next, we ponder the possibility of a Shazam show brought to the CW network, composer Danny Elfman working on the soundtrack for the Justice League movie, and some news about the director and returning cast for the next X-Men movie. We finish up the episode with some Doctor Who news regarding a new show runner, and our thoughts on the recently released teaser trailer for The Black Panther film.

Bringing classic monsters back such as The Invisible Man, Frankenstein, and The Mummy. We move onto DC news with Wonder Woman getting a 97% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. With more Wonder Woman news, we discuss why Wonder Woman takes place in World War 1 instead of World War 2. What do you think about this? We talk Gabrielle Luna wanting Norman Reedus to suit up as the Johnny Blaze version of Ghost Rider. We move to Cartoon news with the return of Animaniacs. We then talk Rob Liefeld being the inaugural inductee into the Wizard World Hall of Legends. Yes, you heard this right. Rob Liefeld. We end the show talking some Doctor Who.
We start off this episode with Brett giving us a rundown of Motorcity Comicon which he attended last weekend. Brett tells about some of the great things he saw, heard, and bought at the convention, and then talks about some of the celebrities and creators he saw at the convention. Brett also tells us about some of the things he enjoyed about the con, as well as some of the things that could be improved about the con. After the convention report, we take a brief interlude to talk about one of the We Be Geeks affiliates, Superherostuff, and a couple of the Herobox subscription boxes that they will be offering in the next month, including a box based on Spider-Man, and a Father's Day special box. We then welcome a guest to the podcast, Mike Zapcic from the AMC show Comicbook Men. We talk with Mike about comics, favorite things from Comicbook Men, and several other topics as well. Mike was a great guest, a great interview, and a lot of fun to talk to, and we thank him for coming on our podcast.

This week, we welcome Ken from Geek Watch One, DC Superpowers Podcast and Wookiee Radio, who is covering for Brett. We start off with some discussion about Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2, spoiler free, of course. We then move on to talk about a new R-rated Hellboy movie in the works, and a confirmation of a Black Lightning series on the CW network. Next, we discuss a new Judge Dredd series in the works for the BBC, as well as a Deadpool animated series announced for the FXX network. We follow that up with a discussion about action figure variant covers for comics, and the breaking announcement that Gotham has been renewed for a fourth season. Finally, we end the episode by covering the Eisner Award nominations for this year.
We begin this episode with a discussion and mini review of the PS4 games Horizon: Zero Dawn, and Mass Effect: Andromeda. Next, the conversation briefly moves to the NFL draft, which is taking place this weekend, and then on to a discussion about comic conventions (no ranting this time.). We discuss the future sequel to the movies Unbreakable and Split, and then move on to talk about Guardians of the Galaxy 2, as well as some other upcoming Marvel movies. We mention the upcoming Titans/Young Justice crossover, talk about the show Powerless getting cancelled, and the future of the Spider-Man movie franchise before welcoming our guests onto the show. This week, we interview Tricia Rainone and Katie Uhlmann, the creators and writers of the webseries "My Roomate's An Escort". We begin with Tricia and Katie giving us a synopsis of the show, and then discuss the casting of the show, as well as the reasons behind making one character an escort, allegedly, as well as naming that character Kesha. The pair give us some behind the scenes stories from the show, talk about showing the webseries at various festivals, and give their thoughts on rejection. Next, they talk about putting the webseries together, what it is like to write for a webseries, and what it is like to pitch the show as a half hour comedy show to various networks. We ask Tricia and Katie about going through Indeigogo, their first time they met each other, other projects they are working on, and their comedy backgrounds . Katie also directs the webseries, which she has never done before, and we ask her about that. We finish off the interview with a discussion about the locations they have shot in, the reactions they have received about the webseries, and where they can be found on the internet.

We get inside info from the writers and Rebels panels. We talk the pros and cons of Celebration, and being able to get into the halls and move around. We talk Ahsoka Tano and our hopes for another book. We talk the Star Wars Battlefront trailer as well as the Last Jedi trailer. We talk exclusives, as well as the new Thrawn book. We end with more reminiscing about the con.
On Saturday, April 15th of Star Wars Celebration Orlando, Mike and Eric were invited to sit in on the Star Wars Rebels Season 4 panel, but also a Press Conference with Executive Producer Dave Filoni and his STAR WARS REBELS cast. We bring to you the entire audio from that press conference. Talent Participating: Dave Filoni - Executive Producer, Tiya Sircar - voice of Sabine, Steve Blum - voice of Zeb, Vanessa Marshall - voice of Hera and Taylor Gray - voice of Ezra Bridger At around the 9.30 minute mark in Mike asks Vanessa about the relationship between Hera and Kanan. The answer will surprise you.

We debut a new segment with Derrick where he goes off on Michael Bay and his new 14 Transformer movies. We move into the release date of The Defenders. 8-18-2017. We also talk about Disney coming out with a Tron Lightcycle attraction coming to the parks. We also talk more Disney and its battles with other parks. We talk new Thrawn books coming out from Timothy Zahn after his appearance in Star Wars: Rebels. We end the night talking gaming news, with Marvel Heroes coming to the gaming consoles off of PC.
