 #13 Productivity with ME (Joshua C Liston) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 19:38

#BBTD Podcast Episode #13: Productivity with ME, myself and I [ Habit Change | Grit | Health | Fitness | Mindset | Creativity | Productivity ] 5 Ways To Get More Done: Make a must-do list in your phone and take a screen-grab and save it as both your background image and lock-screen image (you will see it a few times per day - believe me, ha) When first putting ideas down on paper don't fuss at all about spelling, grammar, neatness or anything outside of getting the idea down as quickly and as organically as possible (I call this the A3 Paper and a Big Texta technique) Choose 2 trackable metrics and record your findings in an App such as Evernote - work on one habit at a time and one set of comparable metrics at a time (for example White Carb Intake vs Weight Gain/Loss - all recorded in an App such as Evernote for iOS) The 85% solution! Unless you're building jet planes or pace-makers 85% finished and happening is far better than 0% and not happening. If you find yourself not doing something because you don't think you can execute with 100% perfection remember the 85% solution ;) Try unsubscribing from one mailing list per week! The rule I use is as follows: If I haven't opened an email from a given list in more than 90 days I remove myself from the list. Rework (Awesome book from 37 Signals) I Will Teach You To Be Rich (85% explained in more depth - very funny personal finance book) #BBTD FACEBOOK #BBTD on Twitter

#BBTD Podcast Episode #6: How I lost a lot of weight [ Habit Change | Grit | Fitness | Health | Books ] In episode #6 of the Braver By The Day Podcast I talk about the books and resources that helped me personally to lose around 30kilos (or around 70pounds) and how I have kept the weight off - I did this in a healthy way, and with a long term perspective. 3 keys books to developing a habit of weight loss and/or weight management: The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business The development of Keystone Habits: is of the upmost importance for further Habit Change - try changing one specific habit at a time - put extra effort into working out what habit is possibly leading to further bad habits (for example - ensuring that you pre-pack your gym gear and leave your gym bag near the front door or with your wallet/keys) The Habit Loop: Is the mix of a cue (the factor that instigates a habitual reaction - for example going to the pub after work for one beer), an action (instead of having one beer - you have have 3>>>4 and eat a bad meal on top), and lastly a result (you put on weight and skip the gym) The 4-Hour Body: An Uncommon Guide to Rapid Fat-Loss, Incredible Sex, and Becoming Superhuman Try starting your day off with a 30g or more protein hit (Tim highlights some significant results from kicking your body into gear with a protein hit within 30mins of waking up) Try a Protein shake or a glass of low fat milk and 2 eggs Work the System: The Simple Mechanics of Making More and Working Less THIRD EDITION Put your desired body transformation results down on paper as an objective Test what works best for your body, energy levels, muscle gain etc and improve your weight-management-system Remember that you should always be looking to improve your system, and constant improvement is the goal to working the system Author Sam Carpenter speaks to the 98% solution - meaning aim for 98% results as the extra 2% is exponentially too hard to achieve for every folks compared to the results I hope everyone enjoys the episode and if you like show, please let a mate or two know about the Podcast :)

 #4 Jason Van Orden Interview | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 40:22

#BBTD Podcast Episode #4: Jason Van Orden [ Habit Change | Grit | Creativity | Learning | Social Science | Podcasting | Self Education | Books ] Episode is very special to me! Not only does it happen to feature my first OS based special guest, but even more awesome than that, that special guest happens to be JASON VAN ORDEN! #ChampionBloke The reason why this is so special to me is simple: It was Jason and his Podcast Internet Business Mastery that opened up this entire world to me - mindset, habit change, self education and online entrepreneurship - to say that I owe a lot to Jason, is putting it lightly... But enough gushing from me - what exactly did jason and I talk about? Interview Topics: What specific things has Jason found make the biggest difference in building success into  both his own pursuits, and into those of his students?  Is it on the ground level execution? Or does it require a higher level motivational change first? How important is Daily Habit Change for someone wanting to make a positive change in their life? Why exactly does IBM recommend just-a-few great books above all else? And are there any other resources to help people find focus and drive? How does Jason Van Orden face the FEAR-OF-FAILURE (and/or success)? And how does he go about helping his students do the same? What is next for Internet Business Mastery and Jason Van Orden? Josh and Jason's Relationship Mar: 2010 - I heard Jason on an episode of Bob Baker's Podcast 2011 - I listened again to the Bob Baker Podcast episodes and Jason's messege hit home much harder a second time round! 2012 - I started listening to IBM mostly for the music related stories from Jason but I guess the marketing information just dug its way into my brain at the same time, ha 2012 - I became a member of the Internet Business Mastery Academy and used Jason's video tutorials and the IBM Audios to build out my first blog and Podcast (DIY Music Movement) 2013 - After period of learning overload I found my way back to IBM when Jason and his business partner Jeremy spoke about their loss of focus; I knew then that I had to reach out and ask Jason if he would be prepared to share his success journey, and his take on GRIT - which he did! Once again #ChampionBloke "Fear is always with us, but once you have beaten it once, you can do it again!"  ~ Inspired by Jason Van Orden Braver By The Day: Habit Change, Persistence, and Grit Internet Business Mastery (dot) com Internet Business Mastery Podcast Unique Ability: Creating the Life You Want Strengths Finder 2.0: A New and Upgraded Edition of the Online Test from Gallup's Now, Discover Your Strengths [With Access Code] @joshuacliston (Tweet Tweet)   PS. With Social there is little excuse for good friends not to talk... 2013 - We have made the effort to communicate more regularly (small habit change right there!)
