The Devastating Effects Of The Tongue – James 3:1-12 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 40:37

Have you ever stopped to consider how your words can effect the life of someone else?  Have you ever been cut to the heart by someone's comments? In today's sermon we explore how much damage careless and hurtful words can have on others.  In addition, we will learn how we can control our tongues.  Finally, we will give new hope to people who have been hurt by others. Listen to Sermon:   Today's Verses: “My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment. For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body. Indeed, we put bits in horses’ mouths that they may obey us, and we turn their whole body. Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires. Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell. For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by mankind. But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so. Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening? Can a fig tree, my brethren, bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh.” (James 3:1–12 NKJV)   To purchase an audio CD please use the button below.   To View Other Sermons In The James Series Click Here

How To Recognize True Faith – James 2:14-26 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 41:01

Have you ever struggled to determine if something is a counterfeit or the real deal?  Have you ever felt that way about your own spirituality or perhaps a loved one? In today's sermon we dive into the subject of faith.  We look at what constitutes true faith and the telltale signs that allow us to discern that which is real and that which is fake. Listen to Sermon:   Today's Verses: “What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” (James 2:14–26 NKJV)   To purchase an audio CD please use the button below.   To View Other Sermons In The James Series Click Here

True Love Shows No Favoritism – James 2:1-13 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 43:50

Have you ever been in a situation where you on the losing side of favoritism?  How did that make you feel? In today's study we examine favoritism in the early church, and the impact it had on the people.  We also examine how insidious bias is and how it can creep into our lives as well. Listen to Sermon: To purchase an audio CD please use the button below. Today's Verses: “My brethren, do not hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with partiality. For if there should come into your assembly a man with gold rings, in fine apparel, and there should also come in a poor man in filthy clothes, and you pay attention to the one wearing the fine clothes and say to him, “You sit here in a good place,” and say to the poor man, “You stand there,” or, “Sit here at my footstool,” have you not shown partiality among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts? Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him? But you have dishonored the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you and drag you into the courts? Do they not blaspheme that noble name by which you are called? If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well; but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors. For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty. For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.” (James 2:1–13 NKJV)   To View Other Sermons In The James Series Click Here

We All Need An Anchor During Turbulent Times – James 1:16-27 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 38:44

Are you looking for something to hold onto during difficult times?  Something that is unchanging, something that can be trusted, something that is proven to be true? In today's sermon we examine some of the common fallacies that mislead people, and their origin.  We also examine the contrasting truth found in the Bible and how they are applicable to our lives even during turbulent and difficult times.   Finally we will understand how the truths in the Bible are able to transform our lives. Listen to Sermon: To purchase an audio CD please use the button below. Today's Verses: “Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures. So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God. Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless. Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.” (James 1:16–27 NKJV)   To View Other Sermons In The James Series Click Here

What Awaits You At The Finish Line? – James 1:9-16 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 36:08

Have you ever thought about what lies ahead in your life?  Have you ever pondered what will happen at the end? In today's sermon we examine what waits for us at the finish line of our life.  We will also examine the reasons why we find ourselves involved in things that are displeasing to God and that bring pain into our lives and those around us. Listen to Sermon: To purchase an audio CD please use the button below. Today's Verses: “Let the lowly brother glory in his exaltation, but the rich in his humiliation, because as a flower of the field he will pass away. For no sooner has the sun risen with a burning heat than it withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beautiful appearance perishes. So the rich man also will fade away in his pursuits. Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death. Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren.” (James 1:9–16 NKJV)   To View Other Sermons In The James Series Click Here

The Purpose Of Trials In Our Life – James 1:1-8 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 40:29

Are you going through a difficult time in your life today?  Are you struggling to hold on and looking for some measure of hope? If this describes you then you will be blessed by today's sermon in the book of James.  We explore the reasons why difficult situations and problems occur in our lives.  We will also examine the hope we have to see us through all situations no matter how desperate, no matter how discouraging they may appear. Listen to Sermon: To purchase an audio CD please use the button below. Today's Verses: “James, a bondservant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ,   To the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad:   Greetings. My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.” (James 1:1–8 NKJV)   To View Other Sermons In The James Series Click Here

 Faith Or Fury… The Choice Is Yours – Amos 9:1-15 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 33:07

Have you ever stopped to consider where your life is headed?  Many people never pause, even for a second, to evaluate the course their life is heading.  In today's message we examine this question in relation to the Northern kingdom of Israel and and for our lives today. Listen to Sermon: To purchase an audio CD please use the button below. Today's Verses: “I saw the Lord standing by the altar, and He said: “Strike the doorposts, that the thresholds may shake, And break them on the heads of them all. I will slay the last of them with the sword. He who flees from them shall not get away, And he who escapes from them shall not be delivered. “Though they dig into hell, From there My hand shall take them; Though they climb up to heaven, From there I will bring them down; And though they hide themselves on top of Carmel, From there I will search and take them; Though they hide from My sight at the bottom of the sea, From there I will command the serpent, and it shall bite them; Though they go into captivity before their enemies, From there I will command the sword, And it shall slay them. I will set My eyes on them for harm and not for good.” The Lord GOD of hosts, He who touches the earth and it melts, And all who dwell there mourn; All of it shall swell like the River, And subside like the River of Egypt. He who builds His layers in the sky, And has founded His strata in the earth; Who calls for the waters of the sea, And pours them out on the face of the earth— The LORD is His name. “Are you not like the people of Ethiopia to Me, O children of Israel?” says the LORD. “Did I not bring up Israel from the land of Egypt, The Philistines from Caphtor, And the Syrians from Kir? “Behold, the eyes of the Lord GOD are on the sinful kingdom, And I will destroy it from the face of the earth; Yet I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob,” Says the LORD. “For surely I will command, And will sift the house of Israel among all nations, As grain is sifted in a sieve; Yet not the smallest grain shall fall to the ground. All the sinners of My people shall die by the sword, Who say, “The calamity shall not overtake nor confront us.’ “On that day I will raise up The tabernacle of David, which has fallen down, And repair its damages; I will raise up its ruins, And rebuild it as in the days of old; That they may possess the remnant of Edom, And all the Gentiles who are called by My name,” Says the LORD who does this thing. “Behold, the days are coming,” says the LORD, “When the plowman shall overtake the reaper, And the treader of grapes him who sows seed; The mountains shall drip with sweet wine, And all the hills shall flow with it. I will bring back the captives of My people Israel; They shall build the waste cities and inhabit them; They shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them; They shall also make gardens and eat fruit from them. I will plant them in their land, And no longer shall they be pulled up From the land I have given them,” Says the LORD your God.” (Amos 9:1–15 NKJV)   To View Other Sermons In The Amos Series Click Here

Harvesting The Fruit Of Our Labors – Amos 8:1-14 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 34:02

In today's sermon we will see some of the final words that God has to say about the situation in the northern kingdom of Israel.  We will get further insight into the wickedness that abounded in the nation and the resulting judgment that would occur because they failed to listen to the warnings of the prophets. Listen to Sermon: To purchase an audio CD please use the button below. Today's Verses: “Thus the Lord GOD showed me: Behold, a basket of summer fruit. And He said, “Amos, what do you see?” So I said, “A basket of summer fruit.” Then the LORD said to me: “The end has come upon My people Israel; I will not pass by them anymore. And the songs of the temple Shall be wailing in that day,” Says the Lord GOD— “Many dead bodies everywhere, They shall be thrown out in silence.” Hear this, you who swallow up the needy, And make the poor of the land fail, Saying: “When will the New Moon be past, That we may sell grain? And the Sabbath, That we may trade wheat? Making the ephah small and the shekel large, Falsifying the scales by deceit, That we may buy the poor for silver, And the needy for a pair of sandals— Even sell the bad wheat?” The LORD has sworn by the pride of Jacob: “Surely I will never forget any of their works. Shall the land not tremble for this, And everyone mourn who dwells in it? All of it shall swell like the River, Heave and subside Like the River of Egypt. “And it shall come to pass in that day,” says the Lord GOD, “That I will make the sun go down at noon, And I will darken the earth in broad daylight; I will turn your feasts into mourning, And all your songs into lamentation; I will bring sackcloth on every waist, And baldness on every head; I will make it like mourning for an only son, And its end like a bitter day. “Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord GOD, “That I will send a famine on the land, Not a famine of bread, Nor a thirst for water, But of hearing the words of the LORD. They shall wander from sea to sea, And from north to east; They shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the LORD, But shall not find it. “In that day the fair virgins And strong young men Shall faint from thirst. Those who swear by the sin of Samaria, Who say, “As your god lives, O Dan!’ And, ‘As the way of Beersheba lives!’ They shall fall and never rise again.”” (Amos 8:1–14 NKJV)     To View Other Sermons In The Amos Series Click Here

Faithfulness In The Face Of Opposition – Amos 7:1-17 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 35:24

Have you ever become discouraged and feel like giving up?  Are you becoming weary even though you are doing the things God has called you to do? The prophet Amos faced the same circumstances.  His words were twisted, he was told to shut up, and to leave the country.  However, he stood strong in the storm of opposition that surrounded him and continued on the path that God had directed.   Today's message examines the difficult circumstances that Amos faced and gives us encouragement for our own lives. Listen to Sermon: To purchase an audio CD please use the button below. Today's Verses: “Thus the Lord GOD showed me: Behold, He formed locust swarms at the beginning of the late crop; indeed it was the late crop after the king’s mowings. And so it was, when they had finished eating the grass of the land, that I said: “O Lord GOD, forgive, I pray! Oh, that Jacob may stand, For he is small!” So the LORD relented concerning this. “It shall not be,” said the LORD. Thus the Lord GOD showed me: Behold, the Lord GOD called for conflict by fire, and it consumed the great deep and devoured the territory. Then I said: “O Lord GOD, cease, I pray! Oh, that Jacob may stand, For he is small!” So the LORD relented concerning this. “This also shall not be,” said the Lord GOD. Thus He showed me: Behold, the Lord stood on a wall made with a plumb line, with a plumb line in His hand. And the LORD said to me, “Amos, what do you see?” And I said, “A plumb line.” Then the Lord said: “Behold, I am setting a plumb line In the midst of My people Israel; I will not pass by them anymore. The high places of Isaac shall be desolate, And the sanctuaries of Israel shall be laid waste. I will rise with the sword against the house of Jeroboam.” Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, “Amos has conspired against you in the midst of the house of Israel. The land is not able to bear all his words. For thus Amos has said: “Jeroboam shall die by the sword, And Israel shall surely be led away captive From their own land.’ ” Then Amaziah said to Amos: “Go, you seer! Flee to the land of Judah. There eat bread, And there prophesy. But never again prophesy at Bethel, For it is the king’s sanctuary, And it is the royal residence.” Then Amos answered, and said to Amaziah: “I was no prophet, Nor was I a son of a prophet, But I was a sheepbreeder And a tender of sycamore fruit. Then the LORD took me as I followed the flock, And the LORD said to me, “Go, prophesy to My people Israel.’ Now therefore, hear the word of the LORD: You say, “Do not prophesy against Israel, And do not spout against the house of Isaac.’ “Therefore thus says the LORD: ‘Your wife shall be a harlot in the city; Your sons and daughters shall fall by the sword; Your land shall be divided by survey line; You shall die in a defiled land; And Israel shall surely be led away captive From his own land.’ ”” (Amos 7:1–17 NKJV)   To View Other Sermons In The Amos Series Click Here

Beware The Crashing Waves Of Judgment – Amos 6:1-16 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 32:36

In today's message we will examine the illusion of safety that the Northern kingdom of Israel clung to, how their arrogance and pride had blinded them, and to how the tidal wave of judgment was going to be soon come crashing down upon them. Listen to Sermon: To purchase an audio CD please use the button below. Today's Verses: “Woe to you who are at ease in Zion, And trust in Mount Samaria, Notable persons in the chief nation, To whom the house of Israel comes! Go over to Calneh and see; And from there go to Hamath the great; Then go down to Gath of the Philistines. Are you better than these kingdoms? Or is their territory greater than your territory? Woe to you who put far off the day of doom, Who cause the seat of violence to come near; Who lie on beds of ivory, Stretch out on your couches, Eat lambs from the flock And calves from the midst of the stall; Who sing idly to the sound of stringed instruments, And invent for yourselves musical instruments like David; Who drink wine from bowls, And anoint yourselves with the best ointments, But are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph. Therefore they shall now go captive as the first of the captives, And those who recline at banquets shall be removed. The Lord GOD has sworn by Himself, The LORD God of hosts says: “I abhor the pride of Jacob, And hate his palaces; Therefore I will deliver up the city And all that is in it.” Then it shall come to pass, that if ten men remain in one house, they shall die. And when a relative of the dead, with one who will burn the bodies, picks up the bodies to take them out of the house, he will say to one inside the house, “Are there any more with you?” Then someone will say, “None.” And he will say, “Hold your tongue! For we dare not mention the name of the LORD.” For behold, the LORD gives a command: He will break the great house into bits, And the little house into pieces. Do horses run on rocks? Does one plow there with oxen? Yet you have turned justice into gall, And the fruit of righteousness into wormwood, You who rejoice over Lo Debar, Who say, “Have we not taken Karnaim for ourselves By our own strength?” “But, behold, I will raise up a nation against you, O house of Israel,” Says the LORD God of hosts; “And they will afflict you from the entrance of Hamath To the Valley of the Arabah.”” (Amos 6:1–14 NKJV)   To View Other Sermons In The Amos Series Click Here

Shattering The False Hope Found In “Religion” – Amos 5:16-27 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 24:33

In today's message we examine the false worship of God practiced in the Northern kingdom of Israel. We see how offensive that was to God and how it deceived the people into thinking that judgment would pass by them. Listen to Sermon: To purchase an audio CD please use the button below. Today's Verses: “Therefore the LORD God of hosts, the Lord, says this: “There shall be wailing in all streets, And they shall say in all the highways, ‘Alas! Alas!’ They shall call the farmer to mourning, And skillful lamenters to wailing. In all vineyards there shall be wailing, For I will pass through you,” Says the LORD. Woe to you who desire the day of the LORD! For what good is the day of the LORD to you? It will be darkness, and not light. It will be as though a man fled from a lion, And a bear met him! Or as though he went into the house, Leaned his hand on the wall, And a serpent bit him! Is not the day of the LORD darkness, and not light? Is it not very dark, with no brightness in it? “I hate, I despise your feast days, And I do not savor your sacred assemblies. Though you offer Me burnt offerings and your grain offerings, I will not accept them, Nor will I regard your fattened peace offerings. Take away from Me the noise of your songs, For I will not hear the melody of your stringed instruments. But let justice run down like water, And righteousness like a mighty stream. “Did you offer Me sacrifices and offerings In the wilderness forty years, O house of Israel? You also carried Sikkuth your king And Chiun, your idols, The star of your gods, Which you made for yourselves. Therefore I will send you into captivity beyond Damascus,” Says the LORD, whose name is the God of hosts.” (Amos 5:16–27 NKJV)   To View Other Sermons In The Amos Series Click Here

 Jumping Into God’s Lifeboat – Amos 5:1-15 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 36:51

In today's study of the book of Amos we learn about the lifeboats that God sent to the Northern kingdom of Israel.  We will see how Israel rejected the lifeboats in the same way that people reject God today.  We will also learn about how there will always be a remnant of people who will be faithful to God no matter how far a country has plunged into depravity. Listen to Sermon: To purchase an audio CD please use the button below. Today's Verses: “Hear this word which I take up against you, a lamentation, O house of Israel: The virgin of Israel has fallen; She will rise no more. She lies forsaken on her land; There is no one to raise her up. For thus says the Lord GOD: “The city that goes out by a thousand Shall have a hundred left, And that which goes out by a hundred Shall have ten left to the house of Israel.” For thus says the LORD to the house of Israel: “Seek Me and live; But do not seek Bethel, Nor enter Gilgal, Nor pass over to Beersheba; For Gilgal shall surely go into captivity, And Bethel shall come to nothing.Seek the LORD and live, Lest He break out like fire in the house of Joseph, And devour it, With no one to quench it in Bethel— You who turn justice to wormwood, And lay righteousness to rest in the earth!” He made the Pleiades and Orion; He turns the shadow of death into morning And makes the day dark as night; He calls for the waters of the sea And pours them out on the face of the earth; The LORD is His name. He rains ruin upon the strong, So that fury comes upon the fortress. They hate the one who rebukes in the gate, And they abhor the one who speaks uprightly. Therefore, because you tread down the poor And take grain taxes from him, Though you have built houses of hewn stone, Yet you shall not dwell in them; You have planted pleasant vineyards, But you shall not drink wine from them. For I know your manifold transgressions And your mighty sins: Afflicting the just and taking bribes; Diverting the poor from justice at the gate. Therefore the prudent keep silent at that time, For it is an evil time. Seek good and not evil, That you may live; So the LORD God of hosts will be with you, As you have spoken. Hate evil, love good; Establish justice in the gate. It may be that the LORD God of hosts Will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.” (Amos 5:1–15 NKJV)   To View Other Sermons In The Amos Series Click Here

 Don’t Ignore God’s Instruction Manual – Amos 4:4-13 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 32:46

This is the sixth message in our study of the Book of Amos. In today's sermon we will study some specific calamities sent to Northern kingdom of Israel meant to turn them from the path of destruction. Listen to Sermon: To purchase an audio CD please use the button below. Today's Verses: ““Come to Bethel and transgress, At Gilgal multiply transgression; Bring your sacrifices every morning, Your tithes every three days. Offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving with leaven, Proclaim and announce the freewill offerings; For this you love, You children of Israel!” Says the Lord GOD. “Also I gave you cleanness of teeth in all your cities. And lack of bread in all your places; Yet you have not returned to Me,” Says the LORD. “I also withheld rain from you, When there were still three months to the harvest. I made it rain on one city, I withheld rain from another city. One part was rained upon, And where it did not rain the part withered. So two or three cities wandered to another city to drink water, But they were not satisfied; Yet you have not returned to Me,” Says the LORD. “I blasted you with blight and mildew. When your gardens increased, Your vineyards, Your fig trees, And your olive trees, The locust devoured them; Yet you have not returned to Me,” Says the LORD. “I sent among you a plague after the manner of Egypt; Your young men I killed with a sword, Along with your captive horses; I made the stench of your camps come up into your nostrils; Yet you have not returned to Me,” Says the LORD. “I overthrew some of you, As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, And you were like a firebrand plucked from the burning; Yet you have not returned to Me,” Says the LORD. “Therefore thus will I do to you, O Israel; Because I will do this to you, Prepare to meet your God, O Israel!” For behold, He who forms mountains, And creates the wind, Who declares to man what his thought is, And makes the morning darkness, Who treads the high places of the earth— The LORD God of hosts is His name.” (Amos 4:4–13 NKJV)   To View Other Sermons In The Amos Series Click Here

 Recognizing God’s Warning Signs – Amos 3:11-4:3 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 33:10

This is the fifth message in our study of the Book of Amos. In today's sermon we will study God's warning signs to Northern kingdom of Israel and some of the specific tragedies that would happen to them. Listen to Sermon: To purchase an audio CD please use the button below. Today's Verses: “Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: “An adversary shall be all around the land; He shall sap your strength from you, And your palaces shall be plundered.” Thus says the LORD: “As a shepherd takes from the mouth of a lion Two legs or a piece of an ear, So shall the children of Israel be taken out Who dwell in Samaria— In the corner of a bed and on the edge of a couch! Hear and testify against the house of Jacob,” Says the Lord GOD, the God of hosts, “That in the day I punish Israel for their transgressions, I will also visit destruction on the altars of Bethel; And the horns of the altar shall be cut off And fall to the ground. I will destroy the winter house along with the summer house; The houses of ivory shall perish, And the great houses shall have an end,” Says the LORD. Hear this word, you cows of Bashan, who are on the mountain of Samaria, Who oppress the poor, Who crush the needy, Who say to your husbands, “Bring wine, let us drink!” The Lord GOD has sworn by His holiness: “Behold, the days shall come upon you When He will take you away with fishhooks, And your posterity with fishhooks. You will go out through broken walls, Each one straight ahead of her, And you will be cast into Harmon,” Says the LORD.” (Amos 3:11–4:3 NKJV)   To View Other Sermons In The Amos Series Click Here

Thronos says:

Thronos is a non-denominational online church that exists to teach the Bible with simplicity and relevance for the purpose of “equipping of the saints for the work of ministry” – Ephesians 4:12

Thronos is unique because we are unshackled from the traditional communication boundaries facing most churches. We are able to broadcast the Gospel to every part of the world that has access to the Internet. Jesus said to His disciples ““you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” – Acts 1:8 and we are seeing that fulfilled every day.

One of the exciting things about Thronos is that we are able to broadcast into restricted countries that are hostile to and oppress Christians who live in their countries. We won’t elaborate further to ensure the safety of believers in those nations, but we are overjoyed that God is using imperfect vessels like us to bring others into a relationship with Christ.

God bless you, Bryan Bowers
