How to start a wordpress site from scratch This is another fine how do you do.  This is where you learn how to start Wordpress site from scratch.  When I started working with Wordpress I opened it and then ran and hid under the bed.  How was I going to become a Internet marketing expert like this?  This is your gain in that I spent quite awhile sorting this out and putting it down here for you should shorten that learning curve quite a bit.  It took a fairly short time to figure it out and again all of the sites that explain such things never really got to the nitty gritty of how to get started.  Those of you that have been around for awhile know I come out with 3 things to explain in most posts. Well, I thought 3 just was not enough so I took some liberties and added 1 extra and there will be more in other Do posting like this!posts.  I mean you want to become a well adjusted internet marker, right?  How is that for the day before the earth is going to end?  So see all 4 graphics by going to the infographics page.  So lets start Wordpress fromscratch.  Good afternoon all.  Are you ready for another rendition of theories and thesis from Lance? Then we will get started with  Wordpress. suppose it's more an observation than a theory but all told it's going to be a major premise of this site. Hopefully it will help keep people from from becoming overwhelmed.  With that mention of overwhelmed I think I need to divide the infographics up.  You will find the first one here on this post and the rest (other 3) in the infographics section.  The way I'm going to continue to teach is based on my target theory. A target has many concentric rings and if you look at this as being your knowledge about a particular subject the Bulls eye or the center piece of the target being most central part but also the most important part. This is where you can get started on your adventure through internet marketing.  It is the basis of what you know about a subject this is where I am going to teach. This should help you learn how to start a Wordpress site from scratch.  If I fill this center area with knowledge and very carefully selected knowledge it will give you enough information to operate minimally and get going. You should get a feel for a particular subject and be able to take off and discover it on your own afterward all while being able to create a viable product using the software, or using the information for a particular task. I will select information to fill the center of that bulls eye for you and then as we spread from there you can gain information on your own or from me to fill in those concentric circles. This allows you to select the information that you actually use on a daily basis or occasionally and leave out the rest. You can't know everything about everything and you don't need to even try. What most people want is enough to get you going in the basic functions of a piece of software or method. This keeps it from overwhelming you and will still let you get started with Wordpress.  Good gosh we don't want you running off before you get started with your internet marketing career.  Most people don't have any idea what all of those settings on a digital camera do. They just need enough to do the things they want to do.  The first part of the graphics in these Wordpress tutorials gets you to the Wordpress dashboard which is where it all begins.  Just a quick word about hosting your site with Wordpress hosting.  Although Wordpress hosting is at first attractive to someone on a shoestring budget I am going to send you here to show you why I think it is not advisable.   So on this one think self-hosted Wordpress blog when learning how to start a Wordpress site from scratch. The second part of this Wordpress tutorial  drops you off to the place you give your site some character of your own.  It talks about the Wordpress header, the Wordpress Themes and widgets.
