Audio Vérité...In 3-D!

Spring is in the air so why not go outside and enjoy the day? Okay, so maybe you can't right now. Maybe you're stuck indoors doing something boring--like work. On today's thrilling episode we get a lazy (and sick) Mike Fray as he plays an old adaptation of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" narrated by Dr. Pus, host of Library of the Living Dead podcast and publisher of the Library book series, and edited by Fray himself (the music and sfx were used from Soundsnap 4 years ago before they went all Hollywood and started charging for their stuff). Fray also "reviews" Max Payne 3 by mentioning it and then playing a 5 minute long review from IGN. Maybe this ep should have been called "Lazy Stealing Bastard."

On today's episode I dive into some of my favorite YouTube channels and some of the great things that can be found on one of the best video websites on the planet! Vintage ads! '80s cartoons! Original shows! Cussing puppets! Insane PSAs! You don't want to miss this episode! It's under 40 minutes, so don't worry about the size. ;)   (And do I really have to say "Put on your headphones!"? Yeah, I thought so!

In today's episode I try something different with the 3-d mics and discuss mental health, video games I've recently beaten and, at the end, I share my "Andy Warhol moment" (he was a famous artist back in the day who, among other things, filmed odd movies such as Eat, which consists of a man eating a mushroom for 45 minutes) by playing a clip of me eating junk food from McDonald's--it's all better than it sounds. No. Really. It is. Have a Happy New Year

In today's episode I take a trip to my local cemetery (I'm withholding the name b/c I don't want to invite trouble to it--sadly, it's the world we live in now) and capture what very well could be an E.V.P. (Electronic Voice Phenomenon). So slide on those headphones (or pop in those earbuds) and decide for yourself if I captured a voice from the beyond the grave, outside interference or a mechanical glitch. In today's episode I discuss ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response - a physical sensation brought on via visual or auditory stimuli characterized by a pleasurable tingling that typically begins in the head and scalp or down the spine) and E.V.Ps (Electronic Voice Phenomena - communication by spirits through tape recorders and other electronic devices). It's a smorgasbord of 3-D sounds so be sure to wear your headphones or put in your earbuds!

In today's exciting adventure (ha-ha) we take a 3-D audio trip to the corner grocery store. "What the h@%% is 'audio verite'?" you may be asking yourself after having just read the title of this post. It's a tricky question that cannot be instantly answered (one can be found here, however). Now I'm throwing my own preverbal hat into the mix with this "audio diary" podcast. Recorded using binaural 3-D microphones, it will feature audio commentary and field recordings from me. Enjoy!
