Episode 11 of the christian podcast, Faith, Hope & Nerds is finally here. On this episode we talk about comfort. We talk about being uncomfortable and how just stepping outside your door is kind of a big deal (proper credit given to bilbo baggins). We talk about what it means to be uncomfortable as christians and what the purpose of that really is. Join us for a slightly more serious episode of Faith , Hope and Nerds....i think there is a small laugh at the end.

Yep, I forgot to bring a power cord to the very special 10th episode of the Faith, Hope and Nerds christian type podcast. Armed with iphones, iRigs and some fancy dancy digital microphone thing, Jason and I forge on. In this episode we discuss episode 9, Jason's use of the word stupid and unity amongst churches and believers. We also talk about Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm and why Jason was runner up in the father of the year award given out by Universal Studios.

With Aaron out of town Jason takes to the Faith, Hope & Nerds airwaves solo tackling such topics as: words that whose first syllables are curse words, why things christians argue about are usually stupid and why he sounds so tired. Jason also interviews Kevin Haskin, the director of "I Was Broken".

One episode 8 of the Faith, Hope & Nerds christian podcast we get a Disneyland trip report from Jason Calhoun and hear why his favorite video game world to live in would be My Little Pony. We also hear an update on baby Isaac with a few stories of God's comfort during challenging times. I'll be honest, this is a sad episode. However, there is joy and peace to be found in it.

In this, the seventh, episode of the Faith, Hope & Nerds independent Christian podcast we welcome super special guest host Teresa Robbins. Teresa does a remarkable job standing in for Mr. Calhoun who took his whole family and a number of my friends to Disneyland. Why wasn't I invited? Trust me, it's question keeps me up way past my bed time. On this episode we get a quick update on Isaac, talk about helpful iPhones and recap our trip to the ocean. In this episode of the Faith, Hope & Nerds podcast Jason and I talk about the nerdiest thing we've done related to our faith and being christians. We also discuss social media theology and how truth that gets some sprinkles on top might actually complicate its meaning. We also talk about Jason's thoughts on the bigness of God and Aaron's view of the Bible as the source for resolving opposing thoughts on this.

In the fifth conversational episode of the Faith, Hope & Nerds Podcast we discuss Halloween. Growing up there were strong pockets of Christians that felt trick-or-treating, dressing up and bobbing for apples was a big no-no. Has that changed? Is it still as big a concern as it was 20 years ago? Jason and I discuss what Halloween means to our families and why, regardless of it's origins this day has some very positive effects on community and family.

An experience looking at some "bare bones" html5 themes got me thinking about my faith, about Christianity and the Gospel. Over the years, I've read books, listened to podcasts, gone to conferences and seminars. My head is filled with some truth but its also filled with illustrations, guesses, interpretations, sayings and debates. This is all great stuff bit it sometimes will take me longer than I want to remember the foundation of what and why I believe. I want to get back to one or two statements, where I can reaffirm solidly. This is who I believe God is. This is what I believe he is doing and this is what I believe that says about my relationship with him and other people. I sometime needs to get rid of all the features and return to the bare bones what and why of my faith.

The fourth conversational episode of Faith, Hope & Nerds is here.  In this extra long episode Jason and Aaron approach something that looks like a conversation about the difference between being sure God exists and having faith the God exists. Jason's first video devotional is also discussed as it the first batch of comments about the show.  Jason and Aaron share their take on the comments and ponder why with so much podcasting experience their listeners are still more articulate and coherent than they are.

Why do we hate the doctor's office, why would we want to have a "relationship" with our doctor and what does this tell us about our relationship with Jesus Christ.
