Verse 22 says “We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth, right up to the present time.” That translates to “everybody is groaning about something. Verse 1 says “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.” There is a New Testament assumption that goes with this passage and you’ll soon find out just what that is. LIVING LIFE IN THE SPIRIT provides us an AVOIDANCE OF CONDEMNATION, AN ASSURANCE OF SALVATION and ASSISTANCE IN SANCTIFICATION.
