Famous Kings: God’s Oath to Earth | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 40:40

Have you ever had someone look you right in the eyes and tell you a lie? How did you feel? Have you ever had someone make a promise with pure intentions but possessed inability to fulfill that promise? Have you ever been that person making the promises? We are going to explore one of the most pivotal passages of Scripture: “God’s promise to David.” But this promise was not just for David; it was for you and me. We have a Father who keeps his promises. His promises are pure and He possesses the power to keep his vows. 2 Samuel 7 is God’s oath to earth. This promise shaped the vision of the prophets and it is the hope of humanity. Be ready to be encouraged! Downloads

 Father, Son, Temple (The 5:15) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 40:07

Everyone has dreams. David had a dream. He did not dream that dream alone; he shared his dream with the person in his life that he trusted more than any other–Nathan the prophet. This was the man who served as a moral compass in David’s life when David lost his. The dream was: let’s build a Temple! When Nathan heard the idea, he knew it was a good idea–even a great idea–and Nathan instantly responded, “Go do all that is in your heart, for God is with you.” But that night God spoke to Nathan. God said, “You and David have a good idea but it is not my idea!” The fact that something is good–and maybe even great–does not mean it’s the right dream. This Sunday we will open one of the most important passages of Scripture, 2 Samuel 7. It is often called God’s unconditional covenant with David, or the Davidic Covenant. But in reality, it is God’s promise to redeem creation! This is one of those passages you need to mark in your Bible and know well. Sometimes God says no to a good idea–maybe even a great idea–but what God says is, “Let me handle this! You want to do something for me, but I'm going to do something for you beyond your dreams!” Downloads

 Exodus: Moses’s Last Words (The 5:15) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 52:02

What does it mean to be a truly grateful person? One of the first things we teach our children is to say "Thank you" when they receive a gift or a blessing or a compliment. We send cards and texts and emails to express our gratitude. But does that mean we are, in fact, truly grateful? And what does our Thank You mean to God? This week, we will look at what it means to "Take care and pay attention to your soul, lest you forget..." (Deuteronomy 4:9) Downloads

 Kingdom Family: God’s Dreams Become Joseph’s Reality | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 54:10

Have you ever paused to think about how you became... you? Since the time each of us was born, our circumstances, families, friends, and experiences have been shaping and molding us. Our responses, tendencies, choices, and countless other quirks have become habitual and well-honed through years of learning--some intentional, some incidental. To what extent has God been involved in that process? And what might He be forming in you now? Furthermore, how have you impacted those around you? How have they become the people they are? This week, we will continue our One Story journey by looking at Joseph (Genesis 37-50), the fourth generation leader of the Kingdom Family. He was a man born with an incredible identity, but it was years before he walked fully in his destiny. What happened in the years between? How did he become a man fit for leading an entire nation? And what might we learn from him about God's way of developing us for His purpose? Downloads

 Kingdom Family: Jacob’s Identity & Destiny | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 54:12

How do we learn who we are? Who gives us the names that define us? Why does knowing our identity even matter? And what do a bowl of stew, a goatskin costume, and perhaps the greatest wrestling match of all-time have to do with the answers to those questions? We continue to study God's Kingdom Family in Genesis 25-33, we will explore each of these questions through the life of Jacob. Downloads

 Kingdom Family: Abraham’s Great Test (The 5:15) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 50:10

What is the last thing that made you laugh? Think for a moment. Can you remember? It may come as a surprise, but God finds some people and some things funny–to the point that one of the key characters of the Scripture is named “Laughter.” Faith is a funny thing, but it is a fundamental thing; without faith it is impossible to please God. We continue our journey though the One Story and we will focus on the family of Abraham and his son named “Laughter.” Downloads

Kingdom Family: Abram, Covenant & Faith (The 5:15) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 51:34

What is faith? God’s challenge to Abraham is massive and even impossible, “Look up into the sky and count the stars if you can. That’s how many descendants you will have!” Abraham, looking into the sky, reasonably asked, “How can I know?” Today, Jews, Christians, and Muslims call Abraham their “father.” That’s more than half the world’s population who base their faith in the “Faith of Abraham.” Yet very few would say there is consensus among these billions of people about what, exactly, the “Faith of Abraham” is. In the Bible, however, we learn that Abraham’s faith is at the very foundation of what it means to be right with God. Romans, Galatians, Hebrews, James and Jesus all point back to Abraham as the “Father of Faith.” We are going to dig into the roots of Abraham’s faith and ask a few questions: What is faith? Why does it matter? How can I know my faith is rooted rightly? In the next few days, spend some time looking up into that night sky, do some counting, and also look in to the Scriptures and ask God, “Is my faith the same as that of Abraham?” Downloads

 Foundations: What’s Wrong Here? (The 5:15) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 50:55

The first two chapters of Genesis tell us the account of creation, and if we spend just a few moments imagining that incredible act, our only response toward God can be, simply, "Wow." To see God's power, purpose, and presence in creating the cosmos–and humanity in the midst of it all to rule and worship–is truly stunning. But sadly, that beautiful portrait is a far cry from the world we live in now. What happened? What went wrong? Where was God? Since the fateful day in the Garden, every generation of people has ruefully asked these questions. This week's passage, Genesis 3-11, actually reveals the reasons we have such serious problems. We see the catastrophic effect of sins impacting the first marriage, the first family, the first cultures, and the first societies. But in the midst of it all, God's question to Adam and Eve in the moment of their treason pierces our hearts: "Where are you?" He has not abandoned us to the mess; in fact, he loves us so much that even in our worst moments he seeks us out and promises to restore what was lost. Downloads

 God’s Heart for Tomorrow | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 40:13

If you've ever held a child in your arms as you rocked them to sleep and prayed over them, you have experienced a glimpse into the heart of God. God has plans for His children. His dreams are not only for that child but also for that child’s child. God dreams big! It is humbling that He places His dreams within our hearts. History is hung on the hinges of those who have placed their hope in a God so massive that He is not limited to one lifetime. The great epic of God’s Grace is built story upon story. Each story rises upon the structure of the last. Each Generation’s faith-journey advances on the foundation of the previous. Because we do not stand alone, we as fathers, mothers, uncles, aunts, teachers, coaches, mentors, pastors, and even peers, choose paths that not only lead us places, but they lead our children places–and those choices will echo into ten thousand tomorrows. We will dwell on God’s Generational Kingdom Plan … “That you may tell the next generation that this is God, our God forever and ever.” Psalm 48:13-14 Downloads

 Ponder Well | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 43:50

Have you ever pondered the reality that the God of all Creation thinks over us and about us, has affection and love for us? David asks the question in Psalm 8 “What is man that you are mindful of us?” We're going to dwell in these 9 verses of Psalm 8 and carefully consider, “What does it mean to be human?” We live in a world that seeks to define us. Let's sit at the feet of our Creator God and let Him tell us what He had in mind when He made us. Downloads
