Patrick's Path to Sustainable Farming

In this episode I take the opportunity to talk with the whole family on their thoughts of being farm girls. I touch on the lettuce adventure, and what I have learned so far. This episode has a different feel to it, but I had a lot of fun making it.

In this short episode I touch base and talk about my plan with the garden for the fall. We plan to go crazy with lettuce! I also talk a short bit on a possible plan to plant one low maintenance crop next year on a piece of family land a hour from my home. If you have any low maintenance crop ideas let me know. In this episode we celebrate the 4th of July with some brews and cheese curse from a recent trip to Wisconsin I talk about. I also talk about my trip to Texas and how instead of farming I may want to pursue my new dream of becoming a cattle rustler. Forgive me it was the 4th and I had been drinking during and prior to this episode. I also have a silent guest on to talk about gmo's. On this episode, I touch on the Brandon Tull interview I did in Episode 11.  I talk about the progress of my garden.  I also ramble about the number of produce recalls and tell you what I think the impact will be on small scale farms.

In this episode I interview Brandon Full from his farm The Homegrown Farm. We have a great conversation on being a young sustainable farmer and his CSA. He gives me advice and informs me I may be a little nutty.

After a break in the path I talk about a new project I'm working on. I have a interview set up with a home grown farmer for our next episode and it should come out nice and timely.
