In this episode I take the opportunity to talk with the whole family on their thoughts of being farm girls. I touch on the lettuce adventure, and what I have learned so far. This episode has a different feel to it, but I had a lot of fun making it.
In this short episode I touch base and talk about my plan with the garden for the fall. We plan to go crazy with lettuce! I also talk a short bit on a possible plan to plant one low maintenance crop next year on a piece of family land a hour from my home. If you have any low maintenance crop ideas let me know. Thanks for listening as always.
In this episode we celebrate the 4th of July with some brews and cheese curse from a recent trip to Wisconsin I talk about. I also talk about my trip to Texas and how instead of farming I may want to pursue my new dream of becoming a cattle rustler. Forgive me it was the 4th and I had been drinking during and prior to this episode. I also have a silent guest on to talk about gmo's. Sorry for the delay on getting this one posted and thanks for listening.
On this episode, I touch on the Brandon Tull interview I did in Episode 11. I talk about the progress of my garden. I also ramble about the number of produce recalls and tell you what I think the impact will be on small scale farms.
In this episode I interview Brandon Full from his farm The Homegrown Farm. We have a great conversation on being a young sustainable farmer and his CSA. He gives me advice and informs me I may be a little nutty.
After a break in the path I talk about a new project I'm working on. I have a interview set up with a home grown farmer for our next episode and it should come out nice and timely. I talk a bit about a chunk of land that I have been toying with. And also touch on the use of raised beds. Thanks again for listening, and find me on Facebook and Twitter.
I'm back again after another detour, sorry for the wait. I talk a bit about a piece of land that I'm interested in and also touch on how crazy land prices have got in my area. If you have a chance go to my facebook page and talk about the prices of land in your neck of the woods. Take a listen I will be back sooner than later!
Welcome to episode #8 we have a talk about what I am leaning towards for equipment and I spend most of my time talking about tractors. I learned a small amount of what I am looking for in a tractor and how much I am looking at spending. Thanks for listening and pass the word on tell your friends, neighbors, heck tell Aunt Edna!
We are back on the path. Episode 7 is a quick episode where I talk about where I've been, where I've stand, and where this little pod-cast is heading. I have a new book Im reading and I talk about somethings that that has made me think about. I talk equipment and how that is what Im going to dive into and learn as much as I can, and talk about in 2 weeks with you. Sorry again for the lack of episodes....but this F.F.A. is back! Thanks for listening!
Join me on Episode 6 as I touch base and talk about how I'm still here and working towards my dream of farming. Sorry about the gap between episodes but I have been quite busy. I talk a bit about my previous podcast with Ken Shook and a few things that I have taken away from that. Thanks again for listening and don't be afraid to comment and let me know what you think!
