Platinum Cool | File Type: video/mp4 | Duration: Unknown

Excuse the pun, but this really is a "Cool" pen! It's at a great price ($50 or less), comes with a converter, is attractive, nice size, well-balanced, and best of all, has a semi-flexible nib that performs as well as the $190+ Platinum Kanazawa Leaf Maki-e. All-in-all, a very exciting pen that I'm thrilled Platinum added to their lineup.

Lamy Safari Cap Finials | File Type: video/mp4 | Duration: Unknown

The pink Lamy Safari has been reissued, and it's a little different this go-round. It actually has a black 'X' finial, instead of a pink one like before when it was available in 2010/2011. I've been getting a lot of questions about what the 'new' pen looks like, so I wanted to share.

Edison Pearlette | File Type: video/mp4 | Duration: Unknown

Edison has brought the Pearlette from their Signature Line pens to the Production Line! This pen was previously only available custom for $225+, but now is available in 3 colors through the Edison retailers for $149. I go over the pen, colors, features, and writing in this video.

Goulet Mylar Paper Tutorial | File Type: video/mp4 | Duration: Unknown

This pair of 4.25"x5.5" sheets includes one 1-micron and one 0.3 micron sheet of Mylar paper, which is a super-fine abrasive used to make your nibs write glassy-smooth. These really aren't a repair tool for fixing scratchy nibs, but more of a tool used for taking an already pretty smooth nib, and really making it glide.

Goulet Micro-Mesh Tutorial | File Type: video/mp4 | Duration: Unknown

Used by many nibmeisters, Micro-Mesh is an incredibly fine abrasive paper that will help to smooth out the tip of a scratchy nib. This 6"x3" sheet of 12,000 grit Micro-Mesh will be enough to last you years, and will help you save those nibs that made you want to throw your pens away!

Goulet Loupe Tutorial | File Type: video/mp4 | Duration: Unknown

If you want to do any kind of tinkering with your fountain pen nibs, the first thing you're going to need is a good loupe. We at Goulet wanted to make sure we could provide a solid-performing loupe at an affordable price, and to make it as utilitarian as possible. I made this video to show you how to use it to adjust the alignment of your fountain pen nib tines.

Reddit Shoutout | File Type: video/mp4 | Duration: Unknown

We found ourselves getting flooding with traffic this morning from Reddit, thanks to sassychupacabra! We wanted to post this as a shoutout, and to introduce ourselves to all the new folks finding us through the thread on Reddit.

Goulet Brass Sheet Tutorial | File Type: video/mp4 | Duration: Unknown

Brass sheet is one of those handy tools that more veteran fountain pen users will know can help you to keep your nib and feed clear of blockages. In this video, I show you why you would need it, how to use it, and how long it will last.

Comparing the Lamy Al-Star, Safari, and Vista | File Type: video/mp4 | Duration: Unknown

It's a common question, what's the difference between the Lamy Vista, Safari, and Al-Star? I remember asking the same thing in my early fountain pen days, because I would read about these popular pens all the time. This video is intended to clarify exactly what each pen offers and what sets them apart from each other.

Goulet Pen Flush Tutorial | File Type: video/mp4 | Duration: Unknown

Sometimes water just isn't enough, and you need a pen flush to clean out your fountain pen. Whether it's an old pen with dried up ink in it, a stubborn ink that just wants to wear out its welcome, or a new pen that you want to be sure is in tip-top shape before you ink it up for the first time, pen flush will help to make sure your pen is as clean as can be. This video explains the Goulet pen flush system and how to best incorporate it into your pen cleaning regimen.

Monteverde Invincia Deluxe Nighthawk | File Type: video/mp4 | Duration: Unknown

I had a heavy hand in designing the Nighthawk, which is the first matte Carbon Fiber pen Monteverde has produced. The matte black trim and black nib make this one super stealthy pen, and I talk about what it was like to design it, and well as show how it fills and writes.

Goulet Two-Tone Nibs | File Type: video/mp4 | Duration: Unknown

The Goulet #6 nibs have been a hit in the all-steel color, so we decided to bring them out in the two-tone color as well. These nibs are still stainless steel, but plated in yellow gold to give it a look that'll match silver-or gold-trimmed pens. I cover what it looks like here, but you should check out my other Goulet Nibs video to see how to actually install them onto a pen.

Edison Beaumont Bordeaux Flake | File Type: video/mp4 | Duration: Unknown

The Edison Beaumont is a pen that came out in August of 2012 in three colors. Edison has recently added a new color, called Bordeaux Flake, to the lineup. It's a nice crimson red flecked material embedded in a pool of black to compliment the black accents of the grip and finial.

Lamy Al-Star Black, Limited Edition | File Type: video/mp4 | Duration: Unknown

If there was one color that I could have chosen for a Lamy Al-Star, it would have been this one. It's awesome, all back, all black details. They did it right!

Apica Premium CD Notebooks | File Type: video/mp4 | Duration: Unknown

Apica has always made decent paper, so when I heard they were coming out with a premium line, I just had to get my hopes up. Often, when I get my hopes up, it's easy to be disappointed....but not here. Seriously, this paper is awesome. It's not perfect, and I go over all that, but it is seriously some paper worthy of the name "premium".
