Payton Taylor, Country Singer Payton Taylor is a Southern New Jersey native who remembers singing since she was barely able to speak. Never one to shy away from a stage, Payton jumped at any opportunity to perform; church events, school plays, local festivals, and anywhere else that would let her get up and sing, all witnessed this tenacious little girl’s love of performing. But it wasn’t until the summer of 2009 that the then 12-year-old Payton discovered her true passion for singing – Country Music. After he graduated, Caliva wrote several dramatic and classical works which were produced at numerous theatrical venues in the Greater Philadelphia area. Caliva began working in the country music industry in 1998, and after moving to Nashville, TN, he worked as a professional songwriter, record producer, tour manager and pianist, touring with several recording artists from that area. He was also the Executive Producer for the debut CD release for Country Music Artist, Kelly Bruner, for whom he also wrote and managed. After moving back to New Jersey in 2002, Caliva was hired as the Musical Director for the Harmony Show Choir at Mainstage Center for the Arts in Blackwood, NJ, and freelanced as a music director for many theater companies in the South Jersey and Philadelphia areas. He also devoted much of his time to teaching private vocal lessons and vocal coaching. During this same time, from 2004-2008, Caliva also served as producer, manager, co-writer, guitarist and band leader for Shannon Cole, a Rock artist from the New Jersey area. In 2008, Caliva also began working as a professional photographer, specializing in people, portrait, and model photography. Though he primarily earns his living in the music industry, he continues to shoot professionally. In 2010, Caliva began working exclusively with country music artist, Payton Taylor, serving as her vocal coach, music teacher, academic teacher, manager, producer, co-writer, booking agent, and photographer. In 2011, he formed Payton Taylor Entertainment, LLC along with Taylor and her parents, to operate the daily and ongoing business of promoting, marketing, producing, developing and advancing the Payton Taylor brand.
