This is a form of self-deception, dishonesty and self-violation. • They say time heals everything, But I'm still waiting… Time does not stop the bleeding, and doesn’t heal, actually, kills. Peacemaking becomes a possibility after the bleeding has ended. •I'm still mad as hell it means, nothing has happened to pave the way for forgiveness. Forgiveness requires a Bridge of Empathy, but empathy requires a change of interaction and an interaction of change. • Why can't you just get over it Get over the problem is a form of denial of reality or the beginning of insanity. • I made by bed, and I sleep like a baby Expressions of anger feelings are healthy and needed. • That they'd write me a letter Saying that I better shut up and sing Or my life will be over America has changed for worse after 9/11. Intolerance has raised to unprecedented levels. This is a national systemic pathology.The exercise of democracy must make it safe to hold opposing views free from fear and retaliation.
