Yes, I promise to reveal it all in good time but for now, I know this is a topic that is not a stranger to you and yet how do you build a strong relationship, and what does it mean to be caring and giving and do you have to give under peer pressure or can you choose to give of your own will and choice?  Episode 70: How to Answer “So What Do You Do?” Question | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 27:42

Welcome back to Episode #70 of The Daily Interaction podcast where the topic today is inspired by my most favorite aunt from Iran on one her visits to the US - listen to the show for the full story where we explore the sometimes-dreaded question: "So What Do You Do?". How do you answer the question when people ask you what you do? Do you say you "are" something or you "do" something? And do you go with the standard responses closest to your profession, or get creative and answer in a unique way that sticks out? And how do you feel about the question and the way you reply? Your work is your imprint on society and your mark on future generations, and the question "What do you do" has become a standard part of conversation, precisely because work is so central to our lives. This "work" can be anything from being a doctor or a soldier in training to a stay-at-home mom raising two kids. It is what you do. It is your mark and your imprint. But still, most of us struggle so much with answering the question. At the very least, I know that I have on a million occasions, and as you will hear in the podcast, so has my most beloved Aunt on one of her visits from Iran to our home in the US. Now hop over to the podcast and take a listen. The iTunes Page: Subscribe & download! The RSS Feed: Follow the Feed! Show Notes for Answering the Question: "So What Do You Do?": 1. The story of my aunt and how frustrated she was at the American parties with the same question everyone asked her, which was, "So what do you do?" 2. The way I have answered the question "So what do you do?" over the years especially after the transition from corporate to self-employment. 3. The key difference in the response between "I do such-n-such" versus "I am such-n-such". 4. The way association with known professions may put you in a box and how to get creative with your responses. 5. The enthusiasm and the confidence in how you answer it will set the impression in the other person's mind. 6. What to never ever do when you answer the question. Don't commit this cardinal sin. 7. What if people really don't care about what you do but still ask the question? And how to distinguish between you and others. 8. How to suss out people's real motivation for asking and how to leverage that. Thank you so much for listening to The Daily Interaction Podcast, and for being here as a reader and a listener.  Episode 68: Why Being a Copycat Destroys Your True Essence | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 19:28

Welcome back to our Episode #68 of The Daily Interaction podcast. Today's topic is inspired by a personal story; I titled it: Why Being a Copycat Destroys Your True Essence, and yes, there is a copycat in my life and you know what, she is sadly destroying her own true essence by copying work and my style and my way of running my business, and what a terrible act of self-sabotage. So please indulge me today on the show as we talk about what makes someone want to copy your work and how we can help them see that this is only hurting them. A lot. Sometimes, we overreact and may think someone else is "copying" our work whereas they are simply taking away inspiration and trying to apply what you are preaching. I had the same initial thoughts, and so I decided to ask a few of my confidantes and they confirmed that this does look like this young woman is indeed copying my work and my style, and so much more. Perhaps I am still over-reacting and they are still seeing something that's not there, but my intuition - or my inner guidance, as my friend Angela calls it - rarely if ever has been false. So I trust it and I hope and pray that this person realizes that not only is she hurting her own chances of success, she's doing that by also completely destroying her own true essence. Now on to the show! The RSS Feed: Follow the Feed! Show Notes for Why Being a Copycat Destroys Your True Essence 1. What it means to be a copycat - I define it for you so we are talking about the same thing. 2. Why being a copycat can be an attractive act and why that thinking is completely flawed. 3. How being a copycat destroys your true essence by robbing you of your true potential and all originality and authenticity that you may have inside of you, even if you are not exactly finding your own voice yet. 4. The lack of confidence, the insecurity and lack of self-worth can prompt you to copying someone else and think that you can be successful just by copying and that's far from the truth. 5. What is the biggest act of self-sabotage and how the copycat misses this whole point because if they knew this, they'd never ever do the copycatting, if you will! 6. Why laziness can tempt you into copying the work of someone else and why that is so terribly wrong and a disservice to you. 7. When insecurities and doubts seep into your life, you act in ways that you won't be proud of yourself later. How to watch for this. 8. How a copycat is ignoring their own resources and creativity and giving in to laziness and other lousy excuses to copying others, and remember that there is nothing like being true to your true essence, or else you will never feel a sense of accomplishment about anything that you do. Ever. Now that's a big loss. They say love makes the world go round but confidence isn't too far behind in making a lot happen in your life either.  Episode 60: Dealing with Shame to Shine with Vulnerability | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 23:51

Today's topic is How to Deal with Shame and Shine with Vulnerability. When I was attending WDS conference in July, I was ridiculously inspired by Dr. Brené Brown and her research on shame and vulnerability, two human emotions that every single one of us experiences without exception. Yet, two emotions that hardly make the cut for conversation. Why is that, I wonder? Why do the things that we think about the most are the things we talk about the least? I knew I had to explore this topic sooner or later, if only to better understand my own deep connection to shame and guilt, ingrained in me since my early childhood in Iran. What is it about shame that seems to cut through every inner barrier we have built against it to leave us naked and exposed? Why do we give shame so much power, and vulnerability so little credit? Listen to this podcast to find out how I help you deal with shame and shine with vulnerability. The iTunes Page: Subscribe & download! The RSS Feed: Follow the Feed! Dealing with Shame and Shining with Vulnerability Show Notes 1. The amazing research topics of a PhD researcher, and how Dr. Brown does her data gathering research on the topics of shame and vulnerability. 2. What Dr. Brown calls the people who did not "suffer" from vulnerability and how she describes them. 3. How do you always believe that you are worthy of love and belonging, and how that leads to embracing vulnerability? 4. The 3 top traits that all of the happy and whole-hearted people in Dr. Brown's research had in common, and how they are able to do that. 5. Examining what you believe and how that relates to shame and the fear of disconnection. 6. Why and how shame stops you from reaching your goals and gets in your way. 7. The definition of courage and how that relates to approaching your life. 8. How to be totally OK with your flaws and your imperfections and how that leads to embracing vulnerability. 9. The Iranian culture and the tight association with shame and how that affected my own life and what you can learn from that. 10. Why do we allow shame and why to let shame go and how to take steps towards doing that? 11. How I practice vulnerability in my business, especially after the courage it took to leave the corporate world and old career and how you can learn from that too. Love The Daily Interaction?  Episode 58: How to Get Over Your Money Stigma to Create Real Wealth | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 26:33

Welcome back to Episode #58 of The Daily Interaction podcast. Today's topic is How to Let Go of Your Money Stigma and Start Creating Your Wealth. This topic was inspired by my fabulous students of the Smart Exit Blueprint, who are going through the ultimate personal challenge: facing their relationship with money, and understanding themselves in the process. Money is a very passionate topic for me, and I've got my own uncensored and perhaps radical views around this wonderful commodity that makes the world go round. Yes, of course, LOVE makes the world go round too, but not without the money, darling! At least, not unless you are in Disneyland or dreamland! Civilizations have been operating for decades and centuries around money. It is a necessity to enable all those things that you love so much in your life, so I'd say hats off to money! Plus, money is simply a great thing so getting rid of your inner conflict will bring you a lot more peace and comfort, not to mention security and wealth and the ability to do great goods in this world. In this podcast, I am openly and unashamedly sharing with you my heart-felt opinion based on my life experience with first, having money, then losing it all and then earning more again. I talk about my own family's brush with poverty after we lost our everything in Iran, and how we rebuilt our lives without extending a beggar's hand to a government or a society or relatives to help us. We've come a long way since we arrived here in 1989 with 2 suitcases for a family of 5 and valuing hard work and building habits of creating wealth have played a key role in that. So my dear constant listener, I have no qualms whatsoever about the power and wonders of financial wealth. Plus, I am here to show you why making your peace with money can be the beginning of a great life filled with everything you want. If all this sounds good to you, let's dive into the podcast together! The iTunes Page: Subscribe & download! The RSS Feed: Follow the Feed! Quotations about money and why the good, the bad, or the great is never, ever, ever, EVER, in the money. It is in the people. 3. Why celebrities are such a poor example to watch when it comes to the meaning of money and why money can be an enabler to lots of good things. 4. If you don't charge for your business, you are running a charity or an expensive hobby. If you are cool with that, great. Otherwise, change it. 5. Why you are your very own problem and barrier to advancement and how to think about money and the guilt associated with it altogether. 6. How to make best friends with money because money is an enabler in getting everything you want in life. 7. Why there is nothing glorious about poverty and my story of arriving in America. 8. How Do You Feel about Money? So there you have it, my honest outlook on money. Now out and over to you: what do you think about what you heard? How do you feel about money?  Episode 57: Dreams Have No Age Limit | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 26:01

Welcome back to Episode #57 of The Daily Interaction podcast. Today's topic is Why Dreams or Passions Have No Age Limit. This is in response to a long-time listener, Steve Walker, and I thank him profusely for sending a topic request. You can do that by leaving a comment below for future podcasts. As for today, I want to give you compelling reasons why it's never too late to pursue your dreams, wherever you may be, in your 40s, 50s, 60s and even your 70s. I aim to inspire you and infuse that with actionable practical steps and give you examples of people who have started very late in life and still became massively successful. I talk to you in this podcast about people who have gone from absolutely horrible conditions to massive fortune and fame while changing millions of lives. You know the names I mention. They are multi-million dollar brands today, but they did not start that way and they did not exactly start at the ripe age of 22. There are millions of others whom you will never hear about that have hit their best mark in life in the golden stage, and so you, my dear, are not alone and no, it is not too late, unless you believe it to be, then it's all over. So please, give yourself a chance, believe otherwise! I started my blog at what I considered to be "late" in the game for me. And it still took me a year to come up with the name Prolific Living, another 6 months before I started thinking of it as a business with untold hours of sweat and work. Now that I am older, I look back at the last 3 years and truly believe I started at precisely the right time in my life. Today, I have no doubt that I am building a future mega brand that will one day be instantly recognizable. Now if you have that kind of vision, that kind of imagination, anything is possible, and that's what I choose to believe when I ask why not create the next best house-hold brand name? The most important thing you can do for yourself today is get in the right frame of mind. 3. Examples of a few amazing success stories of people who started late in life and yet hit massive success. They did not let their age stop them and neither should you. 4. How to start with massive determination but need to apply the changes in small steps. 5. Why motivational and inspirational speakers can get you half of the way there and why you believing in yourself is the only thing that will save you when the negative self-talk sets in. 6. The beginning of the success mindset starts with loving and approving of yourself, accepting yourself, and believing in yourself. This is the foundation before you can move past your age and towards your dreams. 7. Practical tips that pair up well with the inspiration such as taking action, getting your life partner on board, focusing on one thing and not many things, and having big determination while taking small actions. 8.
