Tonight's episode covers a variety of very interesting topics, delivered in a marginally interesting fashion. I relay the sad tale of a SharePoint web application that was taken down by a bad user policy. I also give some cautionary advice when diddling with the User Profile Service. We also talk about a lot of SharePoint 2013 installation issues. I finish up with some good news about PDF files. Everyone loves PDF files.

This episode is a long one, I hope you're sitting in a comfortable chair. I tell tall tales of the fun times I had at SPTechCon, including a massive database. Then I dig into some chewy SharePoint 2013 topics. Finally I bore you all with an update on my self-published book, Free Advice. It's now available as a PDF! I know, I'm all excited too!

Tonight's episode is a light one. I do a lot of shameless self-promotion for my new ebook, "Free Advice" (see http://wwww.toddklindt.com/freeadvice for details) and then find some time for SharePoint content. I talk about the June 2012 CU for SharePoint 2010 and how it hasn't destroyed a farm or put a nail in my tires, yet... Then I talk about a new option for quickly scaling up SharePoint boxes. I finish up by talking a little about the WPC going on, and a security patch to keep your eye out for.

Tonight's Netcast is another jampacked extravaganza. The big new, of course, is that I've finally published my ebook, Free Advice. I'm nearly as excited as you all are. After I finish gushing about that I cover my time at TechEd Europe. Then I cover a bunch of SharePoint topics including SSRS problems, SQL aliass, SharePoint Designer not connecting to SharePoint, uploading profile pictures and a great Search issue I resolved.

In tonight's netcast I tell the sad, sad tale of another blog outage. This time it wasn't my fault, honest! After I'm done whining about that I talk about what a great time I had at TechEd. I also spend some time talking about your friend and mine, the April 2012 CU. Then I talk about how to install SharePoint 2010 on Windows 2012 with SQL 2012. I wrap things up with how to add a footer to your master page. There's a little something for everyone in this netcast, especially those people that like to hear stories about how I can't keep my blog going. They're the real winners tonight.

Tonight's netcast is jam-packed with tasty SharePoint morsels, so let's dig in. The big news is about Microsoft pulling the April 2012 CU. We discuss the issues are it and we go over some general patching guidelines. This is a good time to remind folks to be conservative when installing patches. We also talk about the SharePoint Timer Job Service and ways to handle it when it misbehaves. Then it's on to disaster recovery and we finish up with some tips on how to fix a couple of issues with the User Profile Service.

In this Netcast I wax nostalgicly about the SharePoint Summit and all the fun I had there. Then I talk about how I helped a customer hide some links in SharePoint without doing anything fancy. I show a cool way to use search as your company phonebook and I talk a little about patches. I finish up with a way to hack your own server and uncover passwords for your service accounts. Oh, and I pimp my upcoming book. That's the most important part of all.

Like last week, this week's netcast is bursting at the seams with SharePoint goodness. I cover a Kerberos "gotcha" that got me last week. Then I talk about why you should slipstream your own installs instead of being a lazy bum and using the SP1 installer on MSDN. I talk about why you shouldn't use SQL authentication between SharePoint and SQL. I debut my @SP2010Patches Twitter account where I'll tweet out when new SharePoint 2010 patches are released, and when regressions pop up. I talk about some basic email troubleshooting and the dessert of the netcast is an update on my self-publish, self-promoted, self-aggrandizing ebook. Oh, and I talk about best practices.

Tonight's netcast is chock full of meaty SharePointy goodness. I talk about a tool that can be used to migrate SQL Server Reporting Services. I also tell everyone about the April CU and remind folks to be careful. I break the news to SharePoint 2007 admins about SQL 2012 support, or lack thereof. Plus even more good SharePoint information.

Tonight's netcast was a long one. After taking last week off I had a lot to cover this week. I started off by telling everyone about the new, and even longer Kerberos white paper. Then, for something completely different, I talk about the improvements a CU made to the User Profile Service. I also talk about a bug I encountered with FAST server and how I fixed it. I talk about a weird service application issue and I encountered. Don't worry, I beat it. Then I cover a couple of migration issues I came across. This one has a lot ogreat information in it. You might have to listen to it twice to get everything out of it.

In tonight's netcast I talk more about the SQL 2012 version of SSRS. Then I talk about a new white paper that describes how to use SQL 2012's AlwaysOn technology with SharePoint 2010. I also give my take on the new SharePoint Browser compatibility document that was recently released. Finally I tie it all up with some great little PowerShell nuggets I've found in the last week.

The good news is that tonight's netcast is almost all other people's content! That means it's probably better information than most of my netcasts. I cover a bug Keith Richie found with the blob cache. I also talk about why we should all get cozy with host named site collections. Kirk Evans convinced me. I also talk about another snag I ran into with the User Profile Service and how I fixed it.

In tonight's episode I talk about my install guidance blog post, and why it stinks. I cover what a CRL is, and why it might be slowing down your SharePoint farm. Then I cover yet another fun and exciting User Profile Service bugaboo.

Then I talk about the lessons I learned and what I've done to make sure it doesn't happen again. Robert Scoble interviewed Shane and I a couple of weeks ago and I talk about that. I also mention a Windows patch you really should apply to your Internet facing SharePoint servers.
