Rotation added to the body weight squat! Something you don't get much of in the gym and not at all on machines. Here's a possible solution! This exercise trains balance since you will rotate 180 degrees to the left then the right. If your knees have not be conditioned to handle rotation, then work super-slow and super-careful with this exercise. If you have any knee issues before trying this, see your physician first and inquire if this exercise is or is not for you at this time. The rest of you - train the mobility of your legs with body weight. Take the excellent, yet static (non-moving) Prone Plank exercise and add action to it! Since the core works best (as designed) to react to movement and force from the arms and legs, this is a nice beginning to add movement to the Prone Plank exercise. Of course, there are many more variations to this exercise, so start here and be carefully creative, slowly!

Balance while active! Looks easy? Try it! Can you do all 4 levels for 1 minute on each leg with equal control? This drill may reveal issues you didn't notice before since most training is not geared toward being mobile, agile, and graceful. This is one of the most gentle exercises there is and it trains the number one thing you need before anything else in fitness: balance! Don't become frustrated if you find this exercise difficult. Take the time to become good at it!
