 OpenEd.io | Free Educational Resources | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 17:32

Jeff sits down with Ron Drabkin and Ann Francis to discuss how OpenEd is revolutionizing the way educators provide creative lesson plans to their students using the OpenEd platform on their desktop and mobile devices. About OpenEd OpenEd.io is the largest K-12 educational resource library, offering more than a million free assessments, homework assignments, videos, games and lesson plans for every Common Core Math, Language Arts, Literacy and Next Generation Science standard. OpenEd makes it easy for teachers to find and assign resources by providing pre-built lesson plans (list of videos, assessments and homework) for every grade and subject. Teachers can modify these lesson plans or create their own. The vast majority of OpenEd Resources are free. Common Core Quest, OpenEd’s free app, is available for Apple, Android and Chrome. It allows students to take quizzes to demonstrate mastery of Common Core Math and English Language Arts skills and earn badges for each category. When students don’t achieve mastery, the app recommends videos and games to learn the precise microconcepts they are struggling with. The net result is universal personalized learning for each student. Common Core Quest is used by students, parents and tutors outside of the formal classroom. OpenEd’s awards include the 2014 “Best in Show” award for the assessment tool from ISTE, 2014 Trendsetter award for the Open Source Catalog from EdTech Digest, and the 2014 Awards of Excellence from Tech & Learning.
