Easy File Sharing Between Your Mac and Jailbroken iOS Device Using Netatalk | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

In this podcast, Ivan Soto, shows us how to use a Cydia tweak called Netatalk to browse files on a jailbroken iOS Device using your Mac. Netatalk is a free, open-source implementation of AppleTalk for Unix systems. Installing this package will let you use standard Apple file sharing to connect to your iOS Device. After showing us how to find and install Netatalk, Ivan uses it to access the filesystem on his iPod Touch and change the sound pack used by iOS. As stated by Ivan during the podcast, this is not something that should necessarily be used by new or novice users, as there is the risk that you might accidentally delete something important from the filesystem on your iOS Device. In the worst case scenario, this could make the device unusable.

FUGOO & the UE BOOM: 2 Top Choices for a sub $200 Bluetooth Speaker | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

In this podcast, JoeKy gives us an in-depth review of 2 bluetooth speakers from FUGOO and Logitech, which are his top choices in the sub $200 category. Available in 3 different versions - all of which claim to be mud, snow, water and shock proof - the FUGOO Bluetooth Speaker has six symmetrically-placed drivers. The two tweeters deliver clean highs, two mid/sub drivers give midrange punch, and two passive radiators help bring out a full, deep bass. Together, these six drivers deliver a clean 95 dB sound pressure level, filling large rooms and outdoor areas with rich, immersive sound. JoeKy’s second choice is the Ultimate Ears BOOM from Logitech. This has a 360-degree speaker design, which the manufacturer claims “drops bold, immersive sound into any space”. It's water and stain-resistant acoustic skin and has a 15-hour rechargeable battery. Both speakers should be widely available - both online and in retail store. As an indication of what you should expect to pay, the FUGOO currently starts from $199 on Amazon whilst the UE BOOM starts at $179.

Grail to the Thief: a New Interactive Audio Adventure for the Mac | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

In this podcast, Harrison introduces us to Grail to the Thief, a new interactive audio adventure for Mac, Windows and Linux. The game has been designed with the needs of the blind and vision impaired in mind, but can be enjoyed by everyone. It stars Hank Krang, a dirty thief from the near future who recently had a self-aware time machine called the Time Excursion Digital Interface, or TEDI, fall into his lap after a poker game. He has decided to use this technology to travel throughout time, stealing priceless artefacts. In this, his first adventure, Hank travels to Arthurian times in search of the Holy Grail. Players make their choices through a conversation tree, eliminating the more typical requirement of this style of game of having to type your commands to progress. The developer states that Grail to the Thief is a nostalgic throwback to childhood favorites such as Zork, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Day of the Tentacle, and Grim Fandango, and draws inspiration from old BBC radio dramas and the movie Time Bandits. Grail to the Thief is available from the developer’s website and costs $5.00.
