Channel Ten investigative reporter Hamish Macdonald was this week's guest for the Mumbrella video Hangout. Macdonald hosts Ten Late News and is the network's foreign correspondent, as well as a regular on light entertainment program The Project. He debuts his new three-part series, The Truth Is...?, on Channel Ten next week.  For the series, Macdonald travels across the US and Europe to cover the personal stories of returned soldiers, families living in the shadow of Chernobyl and other personal stories that span war, politics, and pop culture. Macdonald joined the Mumbrella Hangout from Melbourne at 3pm eastern standard time. The CEO and executive producer of  US content and consultancy Bunnygraph Entertainment, John Heinsen, was the feature guest for this week's Mumbrella video Hangout. Heinsen is coming to Australia next month for events including the Amplify Festival and Mumbrella360. While at the conference, he will speak about multi-platform storytelling and putting his argument on cutting budgets for marketing and transferring it to production. Andrew Jaspan, who edited The Age, The Observer and The Scotsman before founding The Conversation (http://theconversation.edu.au/), will take part in today's Tuesday Hangout live on Mumbrella. During the video stream - due to start live on this page at 3pm Eastern - Jaspan will discuss how he started The Conversation, which celebrates its second birthday next week. The fast-growing site delivers the  insights of academics and the research community to a mainstream audience. It is funded by some of Australia's major universities. Jaspan is one of the few editors from a print heritage who has successfully reinvented himself for the digital world.
