Humans.. Thanks to the constant bollockings we receive over social networks about not doing more Podcasts, we’ve finally got of our arses and made one. What do we want?? A new Nextmen podcast. When do we want it? Now!! We hear you!! So here it is. Brand spanking new, fresh out the box. Just in time for those long summer drives to festivals, or BBQ moments. We're not playing any festivals this summer. Instead choosing to concentrate on rehearsals for our autumn tour entitled 'Power Rangers on Ice'. Coming to a rink near you soon. Enjoy humanoids..

Shit. The farking Easter Bunny's been off with the boys burrowed deep all cuddled up, listening to Serial & watching The Jinx & has basically f'd up the delivery of The Nextmen podcast. We are shite. We know. That & the fact that half our crew have eff'd off to LA to list their own AirBnB & be sunny knobs like the rest of those Tidal gits (who we totally respect) but who are way too shiny to understand ordering a full English on Holloway Road at half two on aThursday reading a well thumbed redtop boobfest with the number 41 stalled out front. Sigh... There'll always be London in the Spring. Happy days you lovely folk. We call bullshit on none of you!

Back in the game.. After a short hiatus we're back with a vengeance. Returning with a rumble & a bang & a slap before the cuddle. Not a Nextmen experimental nufolk surf hop sample pack, but a brand spanking new Podcast! Huzzah! We're thinking of making them monthly again. Thoughts? If our Macrobiotic diets, tantric Yoga retreats and Tofu smoking workshops allow us enough free time in our schedules. Stay chisel humanoids.

We don't do Podcasts as frequently any more. Dom has changed his name to Shirley and is living in the Leicestershire countryside on a small vegan Turnip farm. Brad has joined a Simply Red tribute act. Basically we've moved on humans.. However, just for old time's sake we thought we'd rustle up a little something for you to enjoy over the Easter break.. This one features music made (mostly) by other humans. Enjoy it and please be nice to each other. Peace.

Snap. This hour long linger into partyland is a little love from above to remind you the January dry-out is over & left you quite foxy detoxy! So put on your dancing pants, wrap your shower curtain around your neck like a cape & start the count down to Summer lovin' (less than 4 months!) with some stone cold classics. I don't know much about art, but I know what I like & I like this! Yes yes y'all. Hooray!!!!

The festival season isn't quite over. We're sneaking one last one in and making a return to the west country for Brisfest on the 22nd September so make sure you join us there if you can. Until then podcast number twenty-seven is here and it's jam packed with fresh tunes for you to absorb during these increasingly chilly evenings. Humans! We're back! Australia and New Zealand swallowed us whole, thrown back with a mouthful of James Boag's, Montieth's, a flat white and a side of avocado - seriously, does everything need a side of avocado? Shows were crushed, if riding a little high in the Celsius, but the lovely crowds at every session kept glueing us back together again. Although 'Melburn' lived up to its moniker with a 47 degree day that made us more than a little 'Hot For Teacher'… Big up to Fuzzy and Elastic for making the tour happen. Then, with the taste of pan-Australasian deliciousness still in our mouths (with a side of avo), we hit a mini tour of The Alps. It was cold. New shoes were purchased. Nice people were collected. Small dark spaces were filled with hip hop, drum'n'bass and standard grill blocking brashness. Big up to DJ Danz and Taking The Piste for looking after us. So… we thought it was about time to hit you with some heaters. Something to listen to while you both hibernate and plan the most awesome February of your entire lives - the month when you refocus, re-psych, plan your attempt at serious world domination and prepare for Spring as only continuous waxing on and off can. February will be epic. As is this podcast. It features bangers from Joey Bada$$, Kendrick Lamar, Shadow Child, The Upbeats, Heavyfeet and Danny Byrd Feat. Roni Size etc etc et al. Let us be the soundtrack to the best possible you. This year is going to be a big one for us. Humans. Don't blame us. We've been busy. Dom has been working on a musical theatre production of Thundercats set to tour small theatres in Latvia and I've been in Fiji working at a Donkey sanctuary. It has to be said that there is a certain amount of professional negligence that occurs under the guise of a 'hospitality rider', which is ostensibly your employer providing you with endless iced buckets of glorious boozy booze while you carry out your job. Oh black mother I suckle at your teat... I like to do five things when I'm hung over, including the following: 1. Wrap myself in a superking size duvet & perfect my human burrito impression. 2. Declare my entire house a 'pants only party zone' - the only caveat to which is in desperate times this can become a 'full body grey cashmere track suit with a half pint of Hagen Daas as an extension of my own hand coupled with occasional stints of crouching in the corner weeping uncontrollably party zone'. 3. Listen to Radio 4 while obsessively perusing restaurant's/better human's food porn on Instagram (big up @djmofingaz, @sophindulgent & @movidamelbourne) for possible inclusions in my imaginary dream dinner that I will be sharing later with Tupac, Einstein & George Best. 4. Play non-stop XBox - which I tweet is me mastering Virtua Fighter 5/Sonic Generations listening to the Nas back catalogue but I'm really 3 Quest levels deep in Bejewelled 3 - damn you Butterflies! - with the original B3 soundtrack intact as intended. 5. See how much taurine the human body can ingest before bringing on the involuntary face twitches, hand crab rolls & non-stop one-way discussions about nazi alien 9/11 weather-related disaster conspiracies while watching a minimum of 4 hours of US government test footage of military robot dogs on YouTube (they can't be kicked over!). I plan on doing all of the above today. Welcome to my pain cave, may I bludgeon you.

We are a nation of many things – amazing music, beautiful countryside, relative anonymity, delicious produce, generous sized drinking vessels, pretty immediate access to art/kicks/other culture – but what we're not is a nation able to remain clothed when the sun presents itself. Thankfully we're not going release a 2013 naked calendar, instead we've cooked up a new Podcast.. With bangers from Nas, Oddisee, Maya Jane Coles and Jess Mills this should be more fun than looking at our naked mutant bodies. Phew!

Hello humans. Thanks for the curry based lowdown. We've nabbed all the info and will work our way over land and sea one massaman at a time. Big respect. Currently in the house of The Nextmen, we (moved en masse by the cultural zeitgeist of the entire waking world right now, and a few very persistent 6 year olds) are learning about superheroes. A is for Ant-man. Ant-man could shrink to any size and wore a cybernetic helmet which helped him communicate with insects so he could order them to attack his foes, the Masters of Evil. He was tragically killed by an exploding Jack of Hearts. Take out all the connective tissue from those sentences and it reads like a list of breaks DJs circa 2006. Incidentally, Ant-man was an electronics technician and adventurer - add those to the role call, nuff said. This month's podcast features bioelectric blasts from Mo Fingaz (he loves Dubstep), Rudimental, Disclosure, Jessie Ware and Sleeping Giantz to name a few. Holler. Next month is B for Blastaar, mates with Wizard and the Spaceknights of Galador. Seriously...
