True Restoration XXVI: Franciscans feel the wrath of Francis - Jul 31,2013 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:00:00

On the Novus Ordo feast of St Benedict, July 11, Francis contradicted the previous claimant, Benedict XVI, by beginning the rollback of the Traditional Latin Mass, at least within the post-Vatican II church. Father Anthony Cekada joins the flagship show of the Restoration Radio Network, True Restoration, to discuss the implications of this shocking (not to those who knew that Francis' episcopal conduct was a preview of what his non-pontificate would look like) and what we can see next. Father Cekada is a leading worldwide authority on the Traditional Mass and was the first to coin the term "Motu Mass." He is the author of Work of Human Hands, a theological critique of the Mass of Paul VI. We will have time for a few calls and questions via twitter (@truerestoration). Join us!  True Restoration XXV: America and Catholicism - Jun 25,2013 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:04:00

In this final show before the July 4th Independence Day holiday here in the United States, H.E. Bishop Daniel Dolan joins Stephen Heiner to discuss the conflicts and harmonies that any American who loves his country must face in also being a faithful Catholic. We will discuss the founding of America, its Constitution, the North American Martyrs, and various interactions the American government has had with the Catholic Church and with Catholics in general, up to the present day. We will also discuss the significance of the non-confessional American state and how this wrongheaded concept can corrupt basic modes of thinking about how society should function. Join us as we also celebrate the 25th broadcast of our flagship show, now called simply True Restoration. True Restoration is a production of the Restoration Radio Network. All Rights are Reserved.

True Restoration XXIV: St. Joseph the Worker - May 21,2013 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:18:00

Pope Pius XII instituted the Feast of St. Joseph the Worker as a counteraction to Communism. What inspired this move and was it successful? We will also take a look at Rogation Days, Ember Days, and the upcoming feast of Corpus Christi. Join Bishop Daniel Dolan as he and host Stephen Heiner discuss these issues and take your questions via phone and twitter. True Restoration is a production of the Restoration Radio Network.  True Restoration XXIII: Habemus Papam? Francis I - Mar 15,2013 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:52:00

This last show of our 3-part series focuses on the end of the conclave and and what the new papal claimant's selection means vis-a-vis Benedict's enduring legacy. Bishop Donald Sanborn and Fr. Anthony Cekada discuss the background of Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio and his actions since his election. Attitude toward "liturgical abuses" and the traditional Mass. Ecumenism with Jews, Anglicans and Evangelicals. Diminishing the papacy. A disappointment to the Benedict XVI conservatives. "Humility" goes on parade. A "Paul VI resurrected"? The Ratzinger agenda dumped in favor of a more radical course. Will neo-cons engage in a "hermeneutic of denial"? The Second Vatican Council is the ultimate root of the problem. "One balloon says a thousand words!" True Restoration is a production of the Restoration Radio Network. All rights are reserved.

Clerical Conversations on the Crisis I: The Nine 30 Years On - Mar 13,2013 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:56:00

The inaugural broadcast of this new show will discuss the story of the "Nine," a group of priests that were expelled from the Society of St Pius X in 1983. Time has obscured the reasons for their expulsion, which contrary to popular explanations, had nothing to do with sedevacantism. The reasons had everything to do with the internal policies of the Society and their failure (then, as now) to have a coherent and consistent approach to Vatican II, the new Sacraments, the new Mass, and the Pope and Magisterium. Our guests for this show include H.E. Bishop Daniel Dolan, H.E. Bishop Donald Sanborn, and Fr. Anthony Cekada. Both Bishop Dolan and Fr. Cekada were present at the decisive meeting with Archbishop Lefebvre when these issues came to a head. We will take calls in the second half of the show and will also accept questions via twitter (@truerestoration). Clerical Conversations on the Crisis is a production of Restoration Radio.  True Restoration XXII: St. Thomas Aquinas - Mar 02,2013 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:18:00

Thomas Aquinas – scholar and saint. While St. Thomas Aquinas has remained a highly controversial figure in the Church's intellectual battles ever since he died, and is a shibboleth, almost, in terms of discovering neo-modermists before Vatican II, it is sometimes forgotten that as well as being the Universal Doctor of the Church he is also its Angelic Doctor, and a great saint and mystic – indeed shortly before he died he abandoned work on his Summa, because he felt that the spiritual revelations that had been given to him made his intellectual work into so much "straw." In this show we are very pleased to welcome back His Excellency Bp. Daniel Dolan to discuss St. Thomas the man and saint, and to try to get a fuller picture of the man in the context of his times, and his deeply felt spirituality.  True Restoration XXI: The Legacy of Benedict XVI, Part II - Feb 27,2013 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:01:00

This is the second of a 3-part series on the legacy of Benedict XVI. This show will focus on the years 2006-2013. Our guests will be Bishop Donald Sanborn of Most Holy Trinity Seminary and Fr. Anthony Cekada of St. Gertrude the Great Catholic Church. Both men have studied Benedict XVI and his actions over the years and have much to share about Ratzinger's theology. True Restoration is a production of the Restoration Radio Network. All rights are reserved.

True Restoration XX: The Legacy of Benedict XVI, Part I - Feb 20,2013 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:01:00

For our XXth broadcast we are pleased to begin a 3-part series on the legacy of Benedict XVI. This first of 3 shows will focus on the years 1960-2005. Ratzinger: Theologian and Cardinal (1950–2005) His theological training by professors who advocated the modernist "New Theology" condemned by Pius XII. Ratzinger's rejection of Thomism. The accusation of modernism against his doctoral thesis. Ratzinger's hand in writing two Vatican II documents, on the Church and on revelation. Ratinger's errors (heresies?) as theologian on the resurrection of the body, and as cardinal on the nature of the Church, justification, etc. Our guests will be Bishop Donald Sanborn of Most Holy Trinity Seminary and Fr. Anthony Cekada of St. Gertrude the Great Catholic Church. Both men have studied Benedict XVI and his actions over the years and have much useful commentary to share. We will take questions by telephone and via twitter (@truerestoration). True Restoration is a production of the Restoration Radio Network. All rights are reserved.

 True Restoration XIX: St. Valentine's Day - Feb 14,2013 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:30:00

The modern world tells us that all we need is "luv." In the glow of the modern Hallmark holiday that is simply "Valentine's Day" sans "Saint," we reflect on the actual saint and the actual feast of the Day. Our guest, Bishop Daniel Dolan, will also discuss some of the particular challenges both singles and married couples face in our modern world. We will be taking phone calls and questions via twitter (@truerestoration) True Restoration is a production of the Restoration Radio Network. All rights are reserved.

True Restoration XVIII: The resignation of Benedict XVI - Feb 12,2013 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:05:00

An organization that has an over 2000 year existence has both history and precedent. Though it has been almost 1000 years since a claimant to the papacy has resigned, and the reasons given match reasons given in the past, the real story for us to discuss is Benedict XVI's tenure and legacy and what is on the horizon. Joining us for this discussion will be H.E. Bishop Donald Sanborn, Rector of Most Holy Trinity Seminary in Brooksville, Florida. He has studied Joseph Ratzinger extensively and knows a lot about his theology and worldview. We will be taking calls on twitter (@truerestoration) and live on phone. True Restoration is a production of the Restoration Radio Network. All rights are reserved.

True Restoration XVII: Devotion to the Pope - Jan 19,2013 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:08:00

Following on from our last show on the Feast of the Chair of St. Peter at Rome, this time we will look at devotion to the person of the Pope and the Papacy from the point of view of the ordinary Catholic. What should our attitude be to the Pope, especially in these dark days when the Chair of St. Peter has been left vacant for so long? Can we accept Benedict as Pope, but then 'resist' his authority and teaching, or is such 'resistance' actually contrary to the very foundations of Catholic piety? Fr. Benedict Hughes, CMRI, will join us to discuss these questions, especially in the light of the recent re-publication of Fr. Frederick Faber's classic sermon 'Devotion to the Pope,' available from the Mary Immaculate Queen Center, which so amply and clearly answers them.  True Restoration XVI: The Chair of St. Peter - Jan 03,2013 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:01:00

It's bad enough that Catholics get accused of worshipping graven images, but on the feast of the Chair of St. Peter, we might even be accused of "worshipping" a chair. What is the Feast of the Chair of St. Peter? Why are there two feasts? Why is this feast ever more important in our day? His Excellency, Bishop Daniel Dolan will be joining us to share his wisdom and thoughts. Join us for this first episode of Season 2 of Restoration Radio. Questions, as always, may be submitted ahead of time or during broadcast at our twitter handle (@truerestoration). We will not be taking phone calls during this show. True Restoration is a production of the Restoration Radio Network. All rights are reserved.

True Restoration XV: Sp. Civil War II: Franco & the Falange - Nov 14,2012 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:04:00

This show is the second in the series of Spain-themed shows. In our last show on this topic we discussed how we got to the Spanish Civil War by reviewing the Reconquista, the Spanish Golden Age, the defeat of the Armada, and the malaise that persisted until the early 20th century. This show will discuss the course of the Spanish Civil War, Franco, the Falange, the post-war period, and the lies that persist to this day about this time in Spain's history. As usual, we will take your calls and will also take questions over twitter (@truerestoration). Join us and our guest Charles Coulombe, noted Catholic historian and author. Mr. Coulombe's most recent book is called, "The Pope's Legion: The Multinational Fighting Force that Defended the Vatican." True Restoration is a production of the Restoration Radio Network. All rights are reserved.

True Restoration XIV: Christ the King - Oct 27,2012 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:29:00

Americans are taught from a very young age that the separation of Church and State is not only a truism, but is something that should be spread to all nations concomitant with the "blessings" of democracy. Thus, the notion of the Kingship of Christ is anathema in a world in which no one is seen to be above the State, save perhaps, the United Nations. Join us the day before Christ the King Sunday as Bishop Daniel Dolan discusses the important doctrine behind this feast and why it is more important than ever. We will be taking questions via telephone and twitter (@truerestoration). True Restoration is a production of the Restoration Radio Network. All rights are reserved.
