Episode-2655- What I Think about CoVid at this Point in the Game | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:32:25

I have made spot on calls about CoVid and frankly I blew a big one.  It was of course how draconian the government response to it would become.  While the government is doing exactly what I said they would do in a pandemic almost a decade ago, the current virus is not something that warrants such a response. That was my opinion early on and it is now my opinion at the current time. I remained open to being wrong though.  The early death rates looked horrifying, like really bad.  The models were even worse.  It seemed without lock downs that 2 million may be more, may be twice as many could die in the US from this virus.  I accepted the reality, we need to do this, we need to sacrifice, we needed to get though it.  Yet the nagging feeling that none of this made any real scientific sense would NOT go away. Asymptomatic spread especially at the claimed rate of 2.3 made zero sense.  Claiming that we had any idea how many infections there really were, made no sense.  The claim it came from eating bats sold at a wet market where no bats are sold, made no sense.  Lots of other things in the official narrative made no sense. Equally some of the total conspiracy theory shit also made no sense.  The claim there is no CoVid, made zero sense.  I have two friends that are ICU doctors treating CoVid patients who were telling me what they were seeing.  This is a real virus, it does exist and it does hit some very, very hard.  The claim that it comes from 5G is just idiotic and requires a total ignorance of the frequencies that 5G runs at to believe.  Let me just say if you think 5G causes CoVid you better stay away from sunlight. What I have come to realize as is so often the case is the truth seems to lie in the middle.  Today we know so much more then we knew 6 weeks ago.   We know that we were wrong about so much yet we continue to make decisions based on beliefs now proven false.  We ignore treatments that work.  We have studies being rigged by using a valid treatment the wrong way at the wrong stage of the disease.  We have a claim that a drug works that has failed to reduce fatalities. We have people screaming to stay home to save lives but the largest increase in new cases is among those staying home.  We have a death rate in New York City that is high based on a single known bad decision and the people that did it won’t admit it and cling to policies that are now proven to be a total failure.  On top of it all we have a move to silence and even destroy any medical or scientific professional that speaks against the official and openly flawed narrative.  In fact even those who simply ask intelligent questions are attacked, silenced and have the shit of the of the sheepmonkies hurled at them. What I think about CoVid goes back to a prior quote of the day, “Three things can not be hidden for long.  The sun, the moon and the truth.” ~ Buddha Join Me Today to Discuss… My response to those who say the Bakersfield Doctors objection are based on flawed statistics and bad math (link) My thoughts on the intentionally flawed studies on Hydroxycholorquine and what doctors using it properly say about it The insanity that a 70 year old drug is dangerous but a vaccine that does not even exist yet is supposed to be safe Why Tony Fauci is the absolute text book example of what rational people are talking about when they say “the deep state” Why the Swedish model works yet more, the one mistake they made, admitted to and what happens when you adjust for it – (link) How the NY Governor made the same mistake, still did lock downs but fails to admit the mistake (link) Why my formula of Quercetin, Green Tea and Zinc is likely the single best thing you can do for yourself as a prevention tool Why I have a huge problem with the silencing of people on social media, even those that I agree are lunatics like David Icke A video you should listen to by a Doctor who used to work for Tony Fauci – (link) Corona [...]

Episode-2654- Benjamin Page on Our Connection to Soil | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:43:19

Ben is a chiropractic physician that was on the show on episode 2033. He is focused on the human being as a whole and the ecosystem of Planet Earth and how working together is the only viable way to not only survive but to thrive. Ben started listening to the survival podcast in July 2008 while going to chiropractic college in Davenport, Iowa. He lived 5 miles from college rode his bike to collage. It took him depending on the season between 15 and 45 minutes to get to college. He used that time to listen to the survival podcast and learn about modern survivalism and now considers himself to be a modern survivalist.. Ben joins us today to discuss why he feels that how the interaction between us and the soil is the only way we can survive.  Episode-2653- Developing Your Personal Recovery Plan | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:30:35

CoVid is not over, the immediate infections will continue for a time, while the total lock downs are an over reaction, the threat is real, especially for those in high risk groups.  While I don’t think there will be a “second wave” worse than the first wave, some up tick after lifting lock downs will likely occur.  A return in fall is likely, again the entire doomsday worse than ever nonsense should stop, but some return is also possible. Worse we now know what government will do.  We all need to be prepping right now for our own personal recovery plans.  These plans need to be multi dimensional with multiple redundancies.  They need to include plans for a fast recovery, a longer protracted recovery and a heavily interrupted recovery all in one.  You need to prepare for being a person who gets back to normal fast or one that never does based on the common definition of “normal”.  There is a lot to this, and if one thing has become clear in the past two months, I really hope it is this.  Do not depend on government to take care of you or see to your needs. Join Me Today to Discuss… The three scenarios everyone sees as possible for the virus itself Total ebbing of the virus, no significant bounce back immediately or in the fall/winter An immediate spike in cases, hospitalizations and deaths upon reopening A true ebbing of the virus, not much rebound in summer but a big return in fall/winter Scenarios I find more likely The virus will almost disappear in some areas and continue to be a problem in others Sporadic clusters leading to incompetent and massive government over reactions in many regions While some bounce back occurs it will be mitigated by new treatments, significant immunity in the population, government still over reacts in many regions (my most likely pick) Economic recovery scenarios people are talking about A new “great depression” – I say only if this lock down lunacy continues A rapid and sharp economic recovery they call it V shaped A long slow protracted recovery, that is multi W shaped A long recession, something more akin to 08-09 but lasting longer My most likely views for what we face Major hiccups in the food supply chain, but not true shortages in the US Rapid increase of economic flux Education moves more online, more home school, etc More families move to making one stable income work (side hustles for the other half) Rapid uptick in the automation curve already coming Some jobs that have been eliminated never come back Massive buying out of failed businesses Massive increase in the credit market (commercial/consumer/everything) Fairly rapid Wall Street Recovery, much slower for main street Faster shift to solar and other alternative energy technologies What you need to do, what you need to ask yourself How far did this set me back and in what ways How fast can I get out of any and all consumer debt Did I skate though this, but am I still at risk What did this show me as to how I really want to live my life How prepared am I for this to happen again, even if it is not “this” What parts of my life are most at risk from this type of shut down What have I learned about my state and other states If you have children what have you learned about home based education What skills do I have, what skills do I lack What opportunities were revealed by this crisis What opportunities are likely to last if this crisis continues or ends Now like I say, write your own plan, what you do matters, especially now   Resources for today’s show… Follow Life With Jack on Instagram TSP Facebook Group Join the Members Brigade Join Our Forum Walking To Freedom TspAz.com My Hero – Foo Fighters   Sponsors of the Day Western Botanicals Bulk Ammo   Remember to comment, chime in and tell us your thoughts, this podcast is one man’s opinion, not a lecture or sermon.  Episode-2652- Backyard Ponds for Fish, Fun, Food and Frogs | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:02:07

This year I think I have had more questions about my Miyagi Ponds (wood framed ponds made with a drop in liner) then I have in all years combined since installing my first one 4 years ago.  I don’t know if more people are watching “the YouTube” now due to CoVid or what, but I realized it has been a while since we discussed this topic. I was in fact going to discuss some of it on the feedback show Thursday but we ran out of time, I also realized it really does not fit well in a 10 minute variety show segment.  So today we are gonna tackle it head on. For today’s discussion I am talking about “ponds” not aquaponics though you can combine the two and I will mention that.  I am also talking about “garden ponds” vs. bigger more conventional ponds ranging from say a tenth of an acre up to about an acre.  While I am not sure of any official size division I consider something an acre or larger a lake. Specifically I want to run with for our discussion today we are talking say 100-5000 gallons in range.  Ponds of this size can go in almost any back yard, they can often be made portable if you move with the use of things like stock tanks and yet they are big enough to support biodiversity.  They are also manageable to maintain with roof rain catch, rain water or even de-chlorinated tap water if need be. Join Me Today to Discuss… Why you’d want a garden pond anyway Beauty Habitat Fish (food or aesthetics) Reserve water Aquatic plants (edible, profitable or otherwise) For an aquaponics component Ideas for Ponds of various sizes Stock tanks (plastic or galvanized) 100 – 800ish gallons Wood frame ponds 500 – 2500ish gallons Concrete poured ponds – limited by budget and skill only Spill trays – the one I am working with is 250 gallons Preformed pond shells Lined in ground ponds – bentonite or pond liners Developing biology that supports fish and other life In my opinion you need a pump, two is better Move water from one end to the other, to all four corners, etc. Give ponds time to develop biology (nitrate – nitrite cycle) before stocking to capacity Keep water foul out of ponds of this size, always Dogs will f-up a pond of this size if you let them, sometimes, bet they will though Create hides, shelves, entry and exit points, a much habitat as you can A dedicated fish kindergarten is even better I love surface vegetation, but it comes with some issues Some things I have learned Have a back up power plan Never over feed, if you do and get away with it, skip a few days Valves for flow control work, they also by their very nature clog, clogs can kill Float valves save lives, fish lives that is If you build it they will come (life forms of all kinds) Stocking the pond Minnows and forage fish first (fatheds, rosy reds, white clouds, mosquito fish) Create hides that are specific to minnows and fry Native fish are best if you have access to them Sunfish (perch, brim, bluegills, sunnies, etc.) Predators like bass are cool, but limiting and a pain in the ass Channel Cats are a great ROI food wise Bullheads do well but need space or they eat each other Goldfish may be the perfect cycling fish, most don’t die though Koi are beautiful but make a lot of waste and get huge Shubunkin Gold Fish give the beauty of koi, smaller, less waste and are fun as hell Cherry Shrimp actually have done great over the winter in my climate, but everything eats them Crawfish should be doable If you want shellfish river prawns are very doable but need lots of hiding spaces and cut fish in half, really Final thoughts It is addictive The biodiversity is amazing It can be a bit expensive but worth it to me They do need on going attention In cold climates go deep or have a heating solution Start small, you can always sell off a stock tank, or turn a box frame into a garden Keep critters you don’t want in your pond, out of your pond Think about a[...]

Episode-131- TSP Rewind – The Twelve Planks of Modern Survivalism – 8 Years Later | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:55:10

Today is an episode of TSP Rewind, commercial free versions of past podcast episodes. Today’s episode was originally Episode-1812- The Twelve Planks of Modern Survivalism – 8 Years Later and was originally published on June 21st, 2016. The following are the original show notes from that episode.. In 2008 when I founded TSP I wanted to be able to hang my hat on something truly original, rather than be another also ran. The goal was to build an audience not to siphon it from the markets of others. I thought about my personal philosophy and drilled it down to 12 tenets. These tenets have driven the podcast and our topics now for eight years. (as I publish this rewind it is now almost 12) Some of these tenets were common to prepping and some were far more universal, the most universal being tenet one, “Everything you do to “prepare” for emergencies, disasters or economic turmoil should be blended into your life in a way that improves your life even if nothing disastrous ever occurs.” It was upon this foundation that 8 years and one day ago I started The Survival Podcast. Rather than discuss any differences in how I perceive the 12 tenets today, instead I will simply present them with no notes or plans, off the cuff and let you decide if they have evolved, changed or remained mostly constant over 8 years.  Episode-2646- How Wrong Have Our Choices on CoVid Been | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:07:35

Stay home and save lives!  It is the creed we are all supposed to follow.  Apparently if I go out and walk by myself in the woods at a local park, what I am doing is akin to shooting an old person in the face.  According to Governor Gretchen “MeMaw” Whitmer I guess all of Texas is killing people because you can buy seeds and a garden hose when you are at Walmart which is already open and full of people anyway? My problem with the lock down strategy is it is ignoring facts in preference to catch phrases, something I have long said is dangerous to Americans.  We have kids with 200K in debt for a degree who are serving up Lattes at Starbucks due to phrases like, “every child should go to college” and a belief that any object to it is inherently evil.  Worse if I even ask a question as to its validity it means I want to deny an education to minorities and transgendered Asian or some such shit. You know what though at least college is voluntary and no one makes you take a loan for a degree in gender studies.  Lock downs are mandatory and they are train wrecking the global economy in ways we can’t even imagine yet.  For now we can turn everything back on and get back to a reasonable outlook in say a year, yes it will take that long.  How much longer though can we behave this way and expect to not create a global depression? Yea I said depression!  Keep this shit up for too long and you will be longing for the good old days of the Great Recession of the 2000s or the stagflation of the 70s.  It does not have to be this way and it seems that enough people are willing to get back to work to head it off, but man the objections and screeching that “millions will die” are being set off like warning sirens for a tornadic storm.   Is there any evidence supporting this claim though?  No, not really.  There are plenty of opinions and many by “experts” but asking an expert for evidence supporting an opinion is not a sin.  Presenting evidence contrary to said opinions is also not a sin. Is there evidence though that say, social distancing, facial coverings, no large gatherings and protecting the vulnerable are just as effective or close to it anyway as full lock downs in controlling spread of CoVid?  Yes and the evidence for this is increasing consistently.  Over 6 weeks ago I said in a Facebook post, “the postmortem on this over reaction will be ugly, how ugly is the only question to ask, not if but how bad will it be”.  We are not ready for a full postmortem yet, but we can begin to see the answer to my question is likely to be, very, very ugly.  How much damage are we doing and for how little gain? Join Me Today to Discuss… A man has presented math that says lock downs don’t work, he has gotten a lot of hate for it, but no logical rebuttals – link How bad is the economic damage and how long before it “overloads the hospitals” Why are we closing meat processing facilities instead of handling them like hospitals What would an effective social distancing/containment policy look like How one Dallas hair salon says they are opening prior to approval and why it is a good model How big is the denominator, why the spin is now that is a problem and why the spin is mostly wrong Why I really shudder when I hear “muh second deadlier wave this winter, get your flu shot” What you should be doing for yourself right now in the middle of all this shit What you should do for yourself as your state starts opening back up   Resources for today’s show… Follow Life With Jack on Instagram TSP Facebook Group Join the Members Brigade Join Our Forum Walking To Freedom There is no empirical evidence for these lockdowns TspAz.com Brass in Pocket – The Pretenders   Remember to comment, chime in and tell us your thoughts, this podcast is one man’s opinion, not a lecture or sermon.  Episode-2644- Establishing Your “Why” for Homeschooling | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:00:09

Matt Kleopfer joins us today to discuss homeschooling and finding your why as a home school parent.  Matt grew up as a stereotypical midwest farm kid, but like most decided to ditch the farm for a college indoctrination and pursued music and education. After 2 college degrees, Matt grabbed his helmet and shovel and headed for the trenches of public government education in a small rural Kansas town. After spending 5 years in the government school scene, Matt noticed some very alarming patterns. By this time he and his wife had four kids and were looking for an alternative. It all changed one day when Matt was on his 52 mile drive home and he listened to a podcast by “some asshole named Jack”. In the episode, Jack spoke about “Creating your won version of liberty”. That night Matt turned and tossed as the thoughts wouldn’t leave his head. He spoke with his wife the next morning and drove to school only to find the kids lined up outside the doors like robots waiting for their daily dose of mediocrity. At his first break, Matt walked down and turned in his resignation. Matt now home schools his four kids and runs a small 40 acre farmstead where they grow nearly all of their own food. In the last several years Matt has been a faithful listener and integrated many TSP ideas into their daily life. Jack, I thank you and the tsp community for all you have done for those pursuing a life of liberty.  Episode-2643- Topic Round Table with Jack | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:16:10

I did a lot of work this weekend and wore myself out pretty good.  Rather than a structured show I am going to just discuss a few different topics.  Some stuff on CoVid specifically a new potential treatment and some new results about anti body testing and random infection rates that seem to surprise everyone but me. I am also going to discuss some of the things I have been doing at my place.  Two new hydroponics systems are now installed, the new gardens are off to a good start and the place is green as green gets.  Sadly the fruit yield will suck this year due to a mild winter with a very late in the season frost. Join Me Today to Discuss…. On CoVid Some new testing and results suggest the asymptotic rate may be huge New random antibody testing suggests that the infection rate may be 2x to 50x the reported number The CDC is now saying that “close long term personal contact” is the primary method of spread, not surface spread The questions no one is asking but we should all be demanding answers to We are reopening, we have to, here is how to keep yourself safe, no one can or will do it for you ~ On the farm updates The tomato system is installed, I may trial a Kratky equivalent for comparrison The pipe system is also installed, I have a “wall of strawberries now” Why I now feel pipe based systems are not very economical but fine for the hobbiest Five things I am excited to grow though the summer with hydro other than strawberries Broccoli Rabb Fennel Cucumber Mouse Mellon Basil – For Research How I would install an orchard if I was starting today –  Ducks, duck water and a pattern/schedule ~ Final thoughts – remember this time is one of opportunity or one of time lost forever, the choice is yours   Resources for today’s show… Follow Life With Jack on Instagram TSP Facebook Group Join the Members Brigade Join Our Forum Walking To Freedom TspAz.com The Granddaddy’s Gun Club How We are Overestimating the CoVid Death Rate CoVid Rate May be 50-80 Times Higher than Confirmed in One CA County Majority of Sailors on the Ship with CoVid are Asymptomatic 146 Test Positive in a Homeless Shelter, Most have No Symptoms, Only One is Hospitalized MedCram Video about Remdesivir A Video of a Dr. Recommending Quercertin and Zinc as I have been for a long time Quercetin on Amazon Green Tea Extract on Amazon Zinc on Amazon My Latest on my Hydroponics Build We Got This – A Day to Remember   Links Referenced about Hydroxychloroquine Works and On Why Some OTC Supplements May do Some Portion Thereof How hydroxychloroquine actually works with zinc to fight CoVid, despite what the media says this is a KNOWN.
