Luciana: Mas é justamente isso, o churrasco não foi inventado, ele desenvolveu ao longo de décadas ou talvez séculos. Carlos: Tá, mas isso não muda nada. Eu nunca vou pro sul mesmo. Luciana: Claro, mas pensa nisso. Entendendo a história do churrasco, você percebe que o churrasco não é só brasileiro mas argentino e paraguaio também, sem falar nas outras nacionalidades que ocupavam a região na época. Carlos: Ou seja, você se acha argentina. Luciana: Ai ai ai! Nada disso, é que talvez a gente não seja tão diferente. Pelo menos lá no sul. ----Formal English---- Luciana: You're from the north. You don't learn the history of barbecues. Carlos: And what for? Will it change my life to know how the barbecue was invented? Luciana: But this is exactly the point; churrasco wasn't invented, it developed over decades or maybe centuries. Carlos: Okay, but that doesn't change anything. I never go to the south anyway. Luciana: Of course, but think about this. Understanding the history of churrasco, you realize that churrasco isn't just Brazilian but Argentinian and Paraguayan as well, not to mention the other nationalities that lived in the region at that time. Carlos: In other words, you think you're Argentinian. Luciana: My word! It's nothing like that, it's that maybe we are not so different.
