New Brew Thursday - Craft Beer Advocacy (HD)
Summary: Join Stephen, John, and Matt as we explore the world of craft and home-brewed beer, talk about the revolution of craft, and how you can be an advocate for craft beer. Also, we bring you Master Pairings with Dr. Bill who will teach you how to expertly pair food with beer, and hopefully along the way, we'll make you smile, laugh and want to get together with your buddies and have a craft beer!
We’re breaking out the I.E. love this week, with a bottle of Hellion from Ritual Brewing Co. This take on a Belgian style Golden Ale is delightfully approachable and utterly devious..
This week we're visited by the Beer Wench .. or at least her beer. She's there in spirit. We're drinking Saison de Wench, a delightfully refreshing organic saison with Rose petals, hibiscus, and lemongrass.
This week we're enjoying a fantastic IPA, Melrose IPA, from one of our favorite breweries .. and incidently, one of our sponsors as well .. Beachwood BBQ & Brewing.
This week we pack up the equipment and head to San Diego to Societe Brewing Co to hang out with Travis Smith and Doug Constantiner while drinking the Harlot, a Belgian/Czech pilsner inspired dry ale, that is remarkably refreshing.
It's smack dab in the middle of San Francisco beer week, and since we couldn't get up for the festivities this year, we are cracking a local SF favorite, 21st Amendment, and their Sneak Attack Saison, cause In Your Face Winter!
We have the sexy and delicious Gregory Nagel from the OC Beer Blog ( http://blog.ocbeerblog.com) joining us this week and he brought along some delicious Nelson Showers, a double IPA from Noble Ale Works.
Is it Lost Abbey .. nope. Is it Port Brewing? Nope... Is it Pizza Port Carlsbad? Nope. It's all new and improved, it's Pizza Port Brewing Company, and we're enjoying one of their new canned beers, the Swami's IPA.
This week, we use the magic of the Internet to talk about our anniversary party before we ever even had it, while we enjoy an India Pale Lager called Fathom from Ballast Point Brewery.
This week John got a massive shipment of his Crooked Stave beers, so we popped a Batch Number:1 Wild Wild Brett brewed in 2010 and we drink them in our fancy crooked stave glasses.
This week we ponder why Lagunitas Sucks ... so good. We're drinking the big 32 oz bottle in the bag version of Lagunitas Sucks, the substitute beer for Brown Shugga.
This week, we just can't let go of the holidays, and drink a tasty Imperial Stout from Perennial Artisan Ales called Abraxas, via our good friend, Jonathan Moxey.
This week, we're still in the holiday spirit and drinking some awesome holidays from some fine American Craft Breweries. Deschutes Brewery's Jubelale, Anderson Valley Brewing Company's Winter Solstice Ale, and Avery Brewing Co.'s Old Jubilation Ale.
This week, we're getting all merry and whatnot and drinking some fine holiday ales from Belgium, Fantôme de Noel, Gouden Carolus Noël, and St. Bernardus Christmas Ale.
This week we're hanging out with the guys from IronFire brewery enjoying a couple of their tasty brews. Coming from Ballast Point these guys have come out of the gate running, and we enjoy the Barrel Aged Outcast Dead, and their Cucumber Thunder.
This week we're back at Total Wine and More in Redondo Beach for one more show, hanging out with Rich Marcello, Brewer/Owner of Strand Brewing Co. We sample a few favorites and a couple of new releases from Strand.
