So, you’ve created your site, you’ve written plenty of good content… but where are all those visitors you were expecting…? Well, hopefully, during the content creation process, you made sure that you researched your keywords in order for your posts to be search engine friendly (more likely to be found when someone searches on Google). You may also have starting building backlinks to your posts or pages by writing articles for article sites like EzineArticles. However, these days, that isn’t enough. One way that I’ve recently started using that’s working well for me is to syndicate content that I produce via my own content syndication strategy that I’ve been developing and honing to be as effective and time-efficient as possible. What is Content Syndication? Put simply syndication means that you distribute your content to other sites on the internet in order that they can use it to add value to their site, while you get the benefit of having them link back to you. It allows you to become more of an authority in your subject area, by going over to established sites and presenting yourself as an expert in your field. It’s a little like the idea of broadcast syndication in the media, where big TV companies sell the right to broadcast their shows to other TV networks. For example, hit TV show The Sopranos which was originally made for HBO in the US, was syndicated to Sky Atlantic for broadcast in the UK and then on to other companies throughout the world. With our online content, we’re giving (rather than selling) our content in order to build authority and get traffic from established sites. In my case, for this blog, that means showing people on those established sites how to blog, how to do keyword research, how to get more customers and all the other topics that I discuss under the umbrella of online marketing. Below is the process, along with the actual places that I syndicate content to: My Content Syndication Strategy Step 1 – Write your content If you’re going to syndicate your content, you first need content to syndicate. And not just any old rubbish that took you 5 minutes to dash out. For your content to be read and then shared with other people socially, you need to be creating the kind of content that people want to share. For example, in my case, I take plenty of time to research what my target market wants to learn about, and then find a way to present it in an easy-to-follow manner. One classic example of this is my video and written post on How to Get More Fans on Facebook. It’s extensive and covers a variety of methods that even beginners can use to generate more likes to their Facebook fan pages. Ideally, you need to be writing 500+ words on your chosen topic and the aim should be to help people by providing a straightforward solution to a problem that they’re facing. If you can be entertaining as well as informative, then so much the better. A good guide is to think of the kind of content that you like to share or that is being shared in your niche, then create something even better than that. Step 2 – Get Social! Once you’ve written your content, the first port of call needs to be the world of social media. Social sites are, by their nature, meant for sharing great or unusual content, and if you’ve done a good job in Step 1, then you should have no problem in getting a little traction on the main sites. Broadly speaking, there are two types of social media site: Social networks and social bookmarking sites. We’re going to make use of both. First of all, you need to share your content via the social networks. I use: Twitter Facebook (via the dedicated fan page for this blog) Tumblr Obviously, there is an absolute multitude of other social networking sites that I could use to share my content. For example, LinkedIn is a major network for businesses and entrepreneurs to connect and share their experti[...]
In this episode of the Adventures in Internet Marketing pod’, I’m pleased to be joined by someone who I first heard about via his videos on YouTube. One video in particular caught my eye, where he had woken up to his first day of ‘financial freedom’ – no longer needing to work for his money, but instead, creating his wealth through his own business. I know that many of my readers have this as a goal, so I decided to see if he was on Facebook so I could connect with him and invite him to be interviewed. He graciously accepted and gave not just some great answers, but some great actionable tips and tools that you can use to move towards that same goal of earning your living online. Amir Anzur is a really inspiring guy and he shares his knowledge very freely and openly. And boy, does he have a lot to give! He mentions a couple of resources that you might want to check out, namely Malcolm Gladwell’s book Outliers and Kevin Kelly’s article, entitled 1000 Fans. In the interview, Amir and I discuss a wide range of topics, including: The Right Mindset To Succeed In Making Money (whether online or off) How To Build Your Personal Brand To Gain Credibility and Get Paid How Amir Practices The Science of ‘You-ology’ …and The Habit Amir Uses To Keep Himself and His Business Successful Incidentally, if you’d like to see the video that caught my attention you can watch it here: To find out more about Amir, simply visit www.AmirAnzur.com Enjoyed This? ATTENTION! Having a pen and paper handy would be a good idea as you listen to this as Nicola shares some great material and strategies for you to apply straight away. It’s been a while since my last podcast as I’ve been busy adding pillar content to the blog to help as many people as possible. However, I’m back with another interview. In this episode, I’m delighted to be interviewing Nicola Cairncross from the Business Success Factory. Nicola was an early inspiration when I discovered internet marketing so it’s a bit of a treat for me to be interviewing her here on my blog a few years later. What I (and I’m sure you will) like about Nicola is not just her great ability to teach what she knows, but also the matter of fact way she communicates that information. You realise that it’s actually a simple process to make money online, you just need the right guidance from someone who’s been there and done it. In the course of the 45-minute interview, we discuss: How Nicola got started and began using the Ascension and Descension Models to make money (Don’t worry I didn’t know what they were either!) How to shortcut the sales and product creation process and start making money more quickly online. The 3 Secrets To Business Success. Nicola believes that there are only three things you need to know to be successful online and she kindly shares them with us in this interview. We also talk about the success of her previous venture, how it became a victim of its own success and how the book she’s written about it will help business owners for years to come (link below). Plus we talk about leaving a legacy and Nicola’s huge vision for the future: To create 1million million pound business owners. We mention several resources in the interview so here’s a list of them to get you moving: The Business Success Factory – The awesome free video series that Nicola has created to show you how to succeed in taking control of your business and making it a success. The Money Gym – This is the book Nicola wrote about how she created her business and what to do to achieve similar success to her if you’re a business owner. The E-Myth Revisited and The E-Myth Manager – The E-Myth is the Entrepreneur Myth and the first book shows you how to overcome that myth and how to create and run a business that works for you rather than you working for it. The second shows you the management and people skills you need to make it work even better. Click play above and get listening! We’re also available for download on iTunes 48 hours after the pod is published here. Just search my name or Adventures in Internet Marketing. As you’ll know if you follow my blog page on Facebook, I’ve grown that page to over 4,000 mostly targeted fans in order to bring me some traffic each month. I’ve actually been working on Facebook for some time but only recently have I started to ramp up the way I use it to generate leads and income, largely inspired by people like Phil Henderson. However, I’ve now started to branch out and grow several other pages in a number of different markets in order to expand the amount of income streams I have. Using methods I’ve learned both recently and over the time it took to grow this blog, I am growing the number of fans consistently and steadily. So, if you’re looking for how to get more fans on Facebook, then you’re in the right place. Here I’m going to show you my top 7 ways to get more fans to your Facebook page, no matter what market or niche your page is in. I’ll break down each one so you can start applying them today. One word of caution before we get started: Choose one or two of these methods and get good at them before you start on the others, otherwise you may find them overwhelming and hard to keep track of. If these methods are new to you, take your time to understand and apply them individually before combining those that work best for you. So, with that said, on with the show! Method One – Make Your Fan Page Title Irresistible… Then Optimise It One of the first keys to getting lots of fans is to come up with a title that will excite people or that they will agree with without thinking about it. When it comes to marketing online, this means that you need to find a title that has the following attributes: It’s engaging and perhaps even a little outrageous or opinionated It’s keyword rich (meaning that it contains your main keywords for that niche) It’s specific to your market and the people you want to connect with It’s funny or at least amusing (humour gets ‘likes’ like you wouldn’t believe) I’ve added the part about humour last because it’s not essential, but it does help add an extra element of attraction to your page as people enjoy humour and will like to share that humour with the other fans as well as their friends. In order to find a page title that checks the first three features listed above, you need to do your research. First of all, choose a market and then look within that market for a niche or even micro-niche. As an example, you could start with the lifestyle market, then look into relationships then drill down to the people looking to date a specific type of person (uniform dating, religious dating, sugar daddy dating, that kind of thing). Research that niche using tools like the Google Keyword Tool or Market Samurai. You’re looking for ‘Exact Match’ keywords that get at least 500 searches per month on Google. Choose a relatively ‘long-tail’ keyphrase (more than 4 words long) as there will be less competition for this when it comes to optimising your page (more on this later). Look at other already successful pages that exist within your niche and see what their titles are. Don’t copy them word-for-word but see if you can use the basic idea and make it better, more engaging or funnier. Take your chosen keyphrase and integrate it into your title, giving it an engaging twist. For example, if we continue with the dating example, the keyphrase might be ‘best place to find hot dates’ so the page could be called ‘Hotties of the World – The Best Place To Find Hot Dates On Facebook’ (you’ll be surprised what people will like). Remember that there are currently over 500 million people on Facebook, so you’re bound to find something that appeals to a group of say, 25,000 (remember, this is a tiny fraction of the total people using the great book of Face). The next step is to set up the page with your catchy [...]
BOOM! It’s here! I wanted to post this interview last week because it’s a goldmine of great info from a guy who has mastered Search Engine Optimisation or SEO. Phil Henderson is the guy behind Stupidly Simple SEO, a system that teaches ordinary folk like us the mysteries of how to get on the front page of Google. What’s great about this interview is that, just like when you sign up for the free stuff on his site, Phil over-delivers in a big way. Over the course of the interview we discuss great (simple) ways of making money online, as well as the nature of internet marketing and why Phil is all about the value he can provide to his ‘people’. In fact, I used several of Phil’s strategies and was blown away by what he was showing me. Better still, I actually applied the strategies and started driving serious traffic to my YouTube videos, complete with affiliate links, within a couple of hours. My channel on YouTube went from about 1000 upload views to 12,000 upload views in just over 48 hours. Think of what that would do for your affiliate or product business. As well as that, the stuff that Phil shares, particularly about his legacy is proof (not that it’s needed) that Phil is out to help improve the lives of those around him. Plus… We also have a couple of comic digressions as Geordie and legendary creator of drinks(!) Phil lets us in on how he slayed fellow marketer Soren Jordansen at Mark Anastasi’s Clickbank Millionaire event in London. Funny stuff. Enjoy this and as always, make sure you share it with anyone who you think would benefit from hearing a true marketing gent telling it how it is. No related posts. No related posts.
I know I always say this, but I have a real treat lined up for you in the shape of this latest podcast. In it, I interview investment master and creator of CashForLifeInvesting.com, Minesh Bhindi. Just like my other interviewees, Minesh shares his journey with us, right from the moment he picked up a copy of Rich Dad, Poor Dad to his current massive business. Minesh also includes some vital lessons on running a successful business, be it online or off. However, I’m pleased to say that Minesh also shares a huge amount more… Over the course of the interview, we discuss: Minesh’s Number One Secret To A Successful Business (and seriously, he should know!) The Exact Timescale It Takes To Succeed Online The 5 (Simple) Steps To Reaching Profitability In Your Business How Minesh Strives To Be The Embodiment Of An Idea, Not Just Business And… Why Schools Are Failing Their Pupils When It Comes To Starting A Business And How To Reverse The Trend We also have a fantastic discussion about the spiritual side of business. Minesh takes me through his way of reaching a state where he is ‘in flow’ in order to achieve anything he wants, allowing the power of the human mind to solve any issues brilliantly and quickly. We also look at the resources that Minesh recommends to start learning his trade of investing for huge profits, such as the book Rich Dad’s Advisors: Guide To Investing In Gold And Silver. Finally, towards the end of the discussion, Minesh turns the tables on me! The interviewer becomes the interviewee as Minesh gets my take on an idea he has for delivering his message to a wider audience. Minesh is clearly becoming a master at educating people towards wealth, so this interview may be one of the most relevant to you when it comes to understanding the fundamental approach required to make money online. As always, please share this with friends on Facebook and Twitter and leave a comment below to share your experience of what we discuss. Enjoyed This? Here's Another Dose of Awesome! WARNING: This one’s a monster! No, not the guy in the photo. That’s my friend, fellow internet marketer and Scaleogy founder Ben Hulme. I mean this episode of my podcast. It’s the longest I’ve done so far, but it’s really worth the time investment. You see, not only is Ben passionate about helping you to succeed online, he actually takes you through the system that has made him substantial amounts of money. I first met Ben at Mark Anastasi’s Clickbank Millionaire event in London in June 2010 and was immediately struck by his marketing knowledge and moreover, his generosity with that knowledge. When you start listening to this interview, you’ll see what I mean. Among other things, Ben sheds some light on the genesis of the 1K Commission System, explains the habits that have made him successful and the one major ‘secret’ to get massive leverage on your business to skyrocket your income. He even gives you the methods and websites he uses to achieve thousand dollar commissions. Oh, and he’s also brutally honest about the IM (internet marketing) industry. Ben doesn’t hold back when it comes to telling it how it is, from quitting his job and having no money to invest in a business, all the way to working with Chris Cobb on the launch of The 1K Commission System (which is now closed). This is one of the most in-depth and complete podcast interviews I’ve done and I know you’re going to get a lot out of it. Plus, find out why I’m going into the floristry industry! Ben has since gone on to found Scaleogy.com which I highly recommend you take a look at, as he provides some brilliant content to help entrepreneurs. It’s all here, so click play and discover the $1000 strategies of Ben Hulme. Enjoyed This? Here's Another Dose of Awesome! WARNING: Neil gets pretty passionate about his subject matter and is very blunt about what works and what doesn’t. As a result, the conversation does get a bit ‘sweary’. If you have an issue with people swearing, don’t listen, as this podcast is not edited for language. If you’ve already clicked the play button (and why wouldn’t you?) and you want to get Neil’s offer, then click here. So… to the subject of this (pretty awesome) interview: When I first got started working online, I realised the importance of getting a mentor. More specifically, I needed to find someone who had succeeded in doing what I wanted to do. At that time, I wanted to create my own products in a variety of niches but had no idea where to start. The cool thing about getting a (good) mentor who has already trodden that same path is just that: They’ve been there, done that and hopefully they have the bank balance to prove it. Well Neil Asher ticked all those boxes for me. He’d created a number of businesses and used online marketing to promote them, eventually making a very large part of his very large income (he’s a multi-millionaire) from creating products in different niches and selling them online. And thanks to the list building he’s done in each of these markets, he can now make more money by providing more great products to his previous buyers. So, I got in touch with Neil and even before I was on his coaching course as a paid up member, he helped me with some great information and guidance. I joined his course and got great value from it. Since then, I’ve used the strategies and, more importantly, the way of thinking to make money online. I’m not a millionaire yet but I’m on the journey. Thanks to this interview, you can get an insight into what you need to do to be on the same path. We cover a lot in this interview and Neil is, as always, very generous with his knowledge. He gives away some real gold right here which if you were to put it into action, would definitely see you making more money. As always, the questions are based on the excellent book The One Minute Millionaire. You can find the questions in the ‘Take a Millionaire to Lunch’ part of the book (on the left-hand pages). So, get listening! Personally I don’t think you should miss any of this, but if you’re in a real hurry, just listen from 19 minutes onwards for some really juicy stuff. If you want to be a part of Neil’s mentoring program for just £1, then you can get the £1 offer by clicking right here. Enjoyed This? Here's Another Dose of Awesome! Feeding BritCaster.com NOTE: If you’ve already hit play and you want to find out more about Ashley’s latest kick-ass product, then follow this link now: http://www.adventuresininternetmarketing.net/continuity-profits A few months back, not long after I started this blog, I was on the Warrior Forum and browsing the joint ventures part of the site. I was looking for people who wanted to do joint ventures and also just doing some research as to how they were offering them, what they were looking for etc. As I searched, I saw one younger marketer who was looking for contributors to his free internet marketing magazine. He was looking for people with knowledge of internet elements that could help people get started. As I know a fair bit about WordPress, YouTube and a few other technical bits and pieces, I volunteered to write for it, agreeing that I would be credited at the end of my articles with a link back to my blog. Fast-forward a few months and this same marketer, by the name of Ashley Wright, approached me with the offer of creating a site together. We chatted further and it became clear that Ashley knew his stuff and was already successful online (by which I mean highly profitable). Clearly, I want to associate with successful folks as part of my internet marketing adventures and so we started a joint venture, with me creating some of the content for the site, while Ashley creates the site itself. We’re still working on it, so in the meantime, I wanted to find out more about Ashley’s work online. This is the first of a series of interviews I’ll be doing with internet marketers, finding out about them and their businesses. The questions I’ll be using are based on an awesome book called The One Minute Millionaire and will help to show us some of the mindset behind the businesses. So, enjoy this interview with a young guy who makes a great deal of money online. Some of the points he makes about how he does things sound very simple and the truth is, they are. He’s learned a system from a mentor and as he says ‘rinsed and repeated’ that system until he reached the income he’s at now. To get on-board with Ashley and myself, you need to be a part of Ashley’s Simple Continuity Profits which you can find at: http://www.adventuresininternetmarketing.net/continuity-profits Enjoyed This?
