Back in the good old days of podcasting, my co-host of the G'Day World podcast for a year or more was Richard Giles. Then life got in the way of podcasting sometime around the end of 2007 and he went on to do other things. On this episode, we catch up properly for the first time since then, to talk about turning 40, what happened with his start-up SCOUTA, what he's doing now (ADAPPTOR), and to catch-up on some tech news, including Google+ and the sale of MySpace.

I first met Kieran Salsone a few years ago at a BTUB not long after I moved to Brisbane. I'd already known him via his Twitter handle websinthe. I knew from the comic he used to write that he had a sharp political mind. But it wasn't until I caught up with him for a cigar a few months ago that I discovered that he also lead a polyamorous love life. As he, his fiancé Naomi and his girlfriend Rachelle all came out on Facebook this week, I thought it would be a great time to get him onto the show for a chat about polyamory. Has marriage had its day?

My guest today is Virginia Balmain who is the President of the United Nations Association of Australia (QLD) and the Vice-President of the UNAA in Australia. We chat about Australia's role in the UN, our obligations as a Member Nation, and some of the contentious issues surrounding the UN - the veto power of the permanent members of the Security Council, the rise of the "Islamic Bloc", how it is funded and whether or not it is a "toothless tiger".

Veteran crime reporter Adam Shand joins me again on the show to talk about the TWO films being made based on his book KING OF THIEVES, as well as about diamond heists, the HELLS ANGELS,  police corruption and just how lazy the lamestream media have become.

The majority of today's show is about the most evil corporation on the planet, Goldman Sachs, and a great book about them called GRIFTOPIA by Matt Taibbi. I also cover recent news about Obama's backing down on the Middle East peace process, how piracy drove a book called GO THE FUCK TO SLEEP to the Number One spot on Amazon.com, how a long-time US Government Insider believes that Bin Laden Died In 2001 and 9/11 was a False Flag op, and how deaths from the coal industry still out-weigh deaths from nuclear by about 4000 to 1.

I have plenty of concerns about the Bin Laden assassination this week, both in terms of what actually happened and how it is being reported. How could the US President make so many mistakes in his explanation of events? Is it legal to assassinate someone who hasn't had a trial to determine guilt? Does questioning a government's version of events automatically make you a crazy conspiracy theorist? These are some of the questions I explore in today's show. Would love to know your thoughts.
