After medical training at the University of Southern California and the Los Angeles County General Hospital, Dr. Kirschner entered medical practice in the San Fernando Valley as a family physician. In 1961 there were very few doctors with his pubic health experience. This soon led to volunteering in various health related programs, such as the Regional Medical Disaster Program, the Red Cross Disaster and Blood program, the Home Health Association, Visiting Nurse Association, Hospice, several committees on biomedical issues, adviser to the California Health Law Revision Committee, Single Payer Health Care for All, Physicians for a National Health Plan, California Physicians Alliance and other health-related activities. He has also written numerous articles, letters and Op Ed pieces and appeared on radio, television and lectured on health care issues at many venues. Recently retired from medical practice, he continues to volunteer for many health oriented community programs. Keith McHenry age 54, cofounder of the Food Not Bombs movement. Lives in Taos, New Mexico. Keith helped start Food Not Bombs in 1980 in Boston, MA He was arrested nearly 100 times for "making a political statement" by sharing vegan meals with the hungry in San Francisco. He designed the Food Not Bombs logo and co-wrote the book "Food Not Bombs, How to Feed the Hungry and Build Community." He was arrested for sharing food in Orlando with Jessica Cross and Ben Markeson on June 1, 2011 For the last fifteen years, Keith has been touring the world and starting up new Food Not Bombs groups. Salvatore Buttaci has been writing since childhood. His first published work was an article entitled "Presidential Timber" that appeared in the Sunday New York News when he was fifteen. Buttaci was graduated from Seton Hall University in 1965 with a B.A. in Communication Arts. His major was drama, and he has written and directed several full-length plays for educational theater. In 1981, he earned an M.B.A. in marketing from Rutgers Graduate School of Management and was a marketing executive for 12 years. Before retiring in June 2007, he taught English on both middle school and college levels in New Jersey. He is currently editor of The Word Place and author of, Family of Sicilians: Flashing My Shorts, and 200 Shorts to name a few . Sal collaborated on many songs with his musician brother Alfonso. Four of their songs were background music in a 1989 movie, Fortress of Amerikkka. He is a publisher-member of ASCAP.
