Barbara who is affectionatley known as Baabs is an artist whose work has been shown at exhibits around New Jersey.  Baabs has also worked with Anheuser Busch and the Black Heritage Day Parade.

Back Porch Soap Co. was founded in 1998 by me, retail and beauty industry expert and analyst, Marla Bosworth. I'm a Massachusetts resident who is inspired daily by life in and around Duxbury Bay, Cape Cod and anywhere my travels take me. For as long as I can remember, I have been inspired by nature to create beautiful things. As a young girl, I grew up in central Illinois and later in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Understanding retail sales and products at an early age (I began working in retail at 16 in the resort town of Jackson Hole, Wyoming), I developed a keen eye for how to differentiate consumer products and began uncovering the secrets to successful selling techniques – from trendy gift shop boutiques to ski apparel. Understanding the retailer point of view paid off for me when I first began wholesaling in 1998. In addition to selling handmade bath and body products, I consult with companies of all sizes in the area of soap, cosmetic, bath and body - from gift industry to gourmet food industry. As a consultant I research and design personal care products. In addition, my company can provide private label to clients. My love of retail prompted me to open my store, named Back Porch Soap Co., in the Boston area. I also manufactured product in-store and began teaching cosmetic formulation classes there in 2003.

Gail is one of the nation's top speakers, author, Top 1% Club Mentor, a television host, advice columnist, Ms. Continental America 2008, Certified Fitness Trainer, and the creator of SAD-T (Systematic Attitude Development-Technique). Appearing with heavy hitters Donald Trump, Governor Chris Christie, and the Manager of the Philadelphia Phillies Charlie Manuel, Gail earned the status of being named a Top 40 Power Player, according to South Jersey Magazine. She has also been featured on the cover of South Jersey Business Magazine as one of the top 25 female business leaders in the area

After many years of being on the road Kris now lives in Hemet, California where she started her own business specializing in Living Trusts and Senior Care. She is devoted to giving seniors the respect and honest service they deserve. The local chamber of commerce, her church, and her acquaintances have recognized her as one of the outstanding members of the community for the constant service she does for others. In between all this is her music ministry, which is changing people’s lives. Her first CD, Alive and Well, was entered into the GRAMMY® process and has received multiple honors from the music industry. She has won numerous songwriting awards because the messages in her lyrics touch so deeply in the heart. Her songs are being played on radio stations all over the world bringing hope and comfort.

What did you learn from 2011 and what's your plan for 2012 to take your business to the next level?

Building your business against the odds.  Handling rejection, building a team, believing in yourself no matter what and don't take it personally are all key factors to your success.
