Stan Gordon returns to BTE Radio this week to update Eric and Lon on the latest happenings in the Keystone State. Strange objects in the sky, mysterious creatures on the ground and weird anomolies all around this week on BTE Radio! Stan Gordon was trained as an electronics technician, specializing in radio communications. He worked in the advanced consumer electronics sales field for over forty years. Gordon began his interest in the UFO subject and other strange incidents at the age of ten in 1959. In the late 1960’s, he acted as the telephone UFO sighting report investigations coordinator for the UFO Research Institute of Pittsburgh. Stan began in the field investigations of UFOs and other mysterious events in 1965, and is the primaryin vestigator of the December 9, 1965, UFO crash-recovery incident that occurred near kecksburg,Pennsylvania. In 1969, Gordon established a UFO Hot-line for the public to report UFO sightings to him to investigate. Since November, 1993, he continues to investigate and document strange incidents from across the Keystone state as an independent researcher. Gordon is a former PA State Director for the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), and was its first recipient In 1987 of the MUFON Meritorious Achievement in a UFO investigation Award. Gordon has been involved with the investigation of thousands of mys terious encounters from across Pennsylvania. He has appeared on numerous local and network news and documentary shows, including the Syfy Channel (formerly the Sci-Fi Channel), Discovery Channel, History Channel, and Fox News Channel. Lloyd Pye is tentatively scheduled to join us this Sunday night to update us on the most recent news regarding the DNA testing of the alleged "Star Child Skull." Lloyd Pye (1946-) is an American author and researcher who proposes an alternative theory of the origin of human life set within a field he terms "alternative knowledge." Pye is the author of multiple books, including Everything You Know Is Wrong - Book One: Human Origins. He also conducts original research into his theories, gives lectures, and has made television appearances on The Learning Channel, National Geographic Channel, Extra, Animal Planet, and The Richard and Judy Show in the United Kingdom. In his work he rejects the overwhelming scientific consensus that humans evolved from earlier organisms; instead he asserts that the human race originated at least partly from deliberate intervention by extraterrestrial life (an "Ancient astronaut" claim). His ideas have been criticized for the meager and dubious evidence he cites in support of them. Pye was born in Houma, Louisiana. He studied psychology at Tulane University in New Orleans, before joining the U.S. Army as a military intelligence specialist. In addition to his other works, Pye has written two novels: A Darker Shade of Red, based on his college football career at Tulane and Mismatch, a high-tech thriller about "phone phreaking", computer hacking, and submarine warfare. Pye focuses on aspects of cryptozoology, especially hominoid cryptids such as Bigfoot and Yeti. In his book Everything You Know Is Wrong he claims that these animals are Earth's only indigenousbipedalprimates, and that early hominids such as Neanderthals and Australopithecines are not intermediates in human evolution. From this premise, Pye claims that early hominids could not have been the ancestors of modern humans, denying the established scientific consensus supporting common descent.[1] Combining his ideas with those of ancient astronaut believer Zecharia Sitchin, he proposes an alternative model for the origin of Homo sapiens - that of deliberate planting by alien beings, or of interbreeding with extraterrestrials. Pye hypothesises that the first modern human peoples were the ancient Sumerians, whom he claims had knowledge of aspects of modern astronomy such as the existence of Neptune, Uranus, and Pluto. The "Starchild skull" in the 1990's, Pye obtained a curiously shaped human child's skull from a couple in El Paso, Texas. The skull was reportedly found in a mine tunnel in northern Mexico, buried beside a skeleton of a morphologically typical human female adult lying exposed on the floor of the mine tunnel. The unusual skull has an enlarged though symmetrical cranium, and while it contains most of the complement of normal human bones, they are greatly distorted in shape, as for instance it is without an external occipital protuberance. Carbon 14 dating shows that the skull is 900 years old + or - 40 years. Pye proposes that the abnormal skull is the product of a human/alien crossbreeding program. He refers to this being as a "Starchild" and the skull as the "Starchild skull". Pye has subsequently arranged for funding and scientific testing in an attempt to demonstrate that the skull's genetic heritage is extraterrestrial. Several tests have been performed on the skull at different labs, most funded by Pye and his supporters. Tests have included CAT scans, X-rays, radiocarbon dating by carbon 14, bone scans, scanning electron microscope analysis, mitochondrial DNA analysis, and nuclear DNA recovery. In 1999, a chromosomal analysis of the skull was attempted by the BOLD Laboratory in Vancouver. This analysis showed that the skull's nuclear DNA responded slightly to an amelogenin primer. At only 200 picograms of DNA recovered, it was well under the usual minimum recovery value of 1000 picograms needed to make a reliable determination. The proceeds from this event, as well as all profits made from Moore’s books, are funneled back into field research and into the “Cryptokeeper Wildlife Habitat Education Fund”, which has created five new displays relating the importance of hardwood bottomlands conservation, and will be donated to schools throughout Texas. Eric and Lon welcome back our good friend Scotty Roberts to the show to talk about his new book the rise and fall of the Nephalihim, Intrepid Magazine and the upcoming con. Scott Alan Roberts is the founder and publisher of Intrepid Magazine, an journal dedicated to politics, science, UFOs and unexplained phenomena. He is an accomplished illustrator and writer of fiction and non-fiction occupationally hovering in the advertising ghettos of Minneapolis & Saint Paul, Minnesota. He has been interviewed on scores of radio shows, is a former political talk radio show host and was editor-in-chief of SyFy’s Ghost Hunters official publication, TAPS ParaMagazine. Scott attended bible college and theological seminary, pursuing his Masters in Divinity (Mdiv) while working as a youth director. During his time in academia, he focused on his persona passions for history, theater and art. His religious studies were an obvious springboard for his continuing interest in spirituality, and his research of paranormal phenomena expanded throughout the subsequent years. After his ministerial education, Scott’s career took a sharp left turn, and he went on to spend the next two-and-a-half decades as a creative ad man. This week on BTE Radio we take a break from the paranormal and strange to discuss a very serious issue that just might help save a life! We welcome Trish Yancey to the show. Due to technical issues, Lon is unable to join the show live this week, however he will be back with Eric for next weeks program. On this episode of BTE Radio, Eric welcomes good friend and former co-host of Encounter Live Paranormal radio, Trish Yancey. Trish is the wife of Tim Yancey, host of Encounters live, lecturer, violent haunting survivor and most importantly a survivor of a serious heart condition. Back in early March, Tim had what he thought was a heart attack. He was rushed to the hospital and after numerous tests, it was determined, he didn’t have a heart attack but was suffering from two very severly blocked arterties. One at 95% and the other at 98%. Tim had surgery to implant two stints to open the arteries. Fortuantely Tim survived this scare and has now decided to help people in a different way, rather than by helping those involved with paranormal activity. Tim has decided to share his experience ofwhat he went through with the symptoms, diagnosis, surgery and treatment. Tim and Trish have gone on several programs talking about their experiences. Due to his work schedule, Tim was not able to join us, however Trish Yancey is the special guest this week and we talked about Tim’s experience, what they both learned and shared with all of us what we can do if and when we experience those symptoms.
