Summary: My recent stay in Winnipeg, MB was a great learning experience. I captured interesting video footage and tried to experience everything this Canadian city had to offer for 7 months. During this extended stay, I was also privileged to assist my son with his virtual homeschooling. The homeschooling experience sparked my imagination. The platform I used allowed me to interact with him as if I were sitting right next to him for 4 hours a day. This spark led to the creation of the 3 part Virtual Tutoring 2.0 instructional. Virtual Tutoring 2.0 covers the installation and basic configuration of digital communication applications. Digital communication tools will change our narrow definition of the term education in the 21 century.

Non formal educational opportunities are growing. Powerful tools such as Facebook, Myspace and Twitter are tools that are adding more value to the formal and non formal educational process. Many of these non formal educational opportunities are providing solutions to challenges, delivering valuable information and adding diversity to our lives.
