dj tetris' podcast

Summary: This has to be my favorite period of reggae, and it only lasted 2 n a half years! between 1967- 69 soundsystem operator Duke Reid laid down the foundation of rocksteady with the help of Tommy McCook and the Supersonics. with the split up of the skatalites came the end of the ska era, the tempo of the music was chopped in half and became more melodic giving the music a chance to breathe. All riddims on this mix were recorded between 67-69 @ Treasure Isle studios 33 Bond Street, Kingston, JA, tho sum have been re-voiced by current artists such as Bitty Mclean, Shinehead, and Sadiki... so without further ado.. in comes the musical thing called.. Tetris on bond street Played by the king and love is all i bring.... do it!
