danielbritt.com Daniel Britt Interviews Episodes - | Daniel Britt Interviews Legacy Five | This is a radio interview with all the guys of Legacy Five conducted by Daniel Britt. It was recorded in September 2006 -- just days after Roger Bennett had received another setback in his health situation. In this conversation, which turned out to be one of Roger's last interviews, he updates us on his then-current situation. In addition, there's a lot of good material and history on the quartet and on the guys as individuals. You'll enjoy the laughter and friendship that was expressed while sitting around our table. | Daniel Britt Interviews Greater Vision | Here's my interview with Greater Vision (Gerald Wolfe, Jason Waldroup, and Rodney Griffin). In addition to normal biographical stuff about the group and their members, you'll hear our conversation move to industry talk -- like about the logistics of writing good songs like Rodney has written. And how the industry should respond to change in music styles and, yes, even hair styles! Then, you can go back to 2004 and hear a previous interview I did separately with Gerald. | Get at Short URL | Download Daniel Britt Interviews Greater Vision | Play in Popup.

| Daniel Britt Interviews Kevin Williams | Here's the interview I recorded with Kevin Williams in September, 2006. Kevin has since returned to the Gaither Homecoming tour (so any mention of his concert absence needs to be taken in the context of when the interview took place). Kevin has stories to tell, like working with Wendy Bagwell and the Sunliters, Bill Gaither, and Anthony Burger. If you've ever had an opportunity to talk to Kevin before or after a Homecoming concert, you know how approachable he is -- and funny, too! Enjoy. | Get at Short URL | Download Daniel Britt Interviews Kevin Williams | Play in Popup.

| Daniel Britt Interviews Lynda Randle | This interview is over an hour long and the mp3 file is over 11MB, so beware of a longer-than-usual download. We talked about Lynda's home life growing up in Washington DC, about her family, the two Michaels in her life (her brother Michael Tait and her husband Michael Randle), daughters Patience and Joy, college, her vanilla mom and dad (known to us as Bill and Gloria Gaither), being a black gospel singer in a white gospel world, Mahalia Jackson, Babbie Mason, racial reconciliation and more! We certainly cover a lot of ground, but with Lynda's contagious, joy-filled personality, it's time that flies by. | Get at Short URL | Download Daniel Britt Interviews Lynda Randle | Play in Popup.

| Daniel Britt features Jimmy Jones clip | Jimmy Jones passed away on Monday, June 12, 2006 in Marietta, Georgia. Jimmy was very recently diagnosed with untreatable cancer. Jimmy had one of the smoothest baritone/bass voices in the industry and was probably most well known, especially recently, for his recitations. His professional resume included the LeFevres and the Sunshine Boys. In 2003, Jimmy and Eva Mae LeFevre joined Mark Fuller and me in the studio in Atlanta's Buckhead district for an evening of remembering. We went to dinner at the OK Cafe beforehand, and then, once in the recording studio, the stories and laughter flowed. Here's a clip of Jimmy talking about his recitations as well as the original recording by the LeFevres of "Lord, It's Me Again."I have the full unedited, raw studio session of the time with Eva Mae and Jimmy, and I'll be sharing more audio in the coming days.-Daniel Britt | Get at Short URL | Download Daniel Britt features Jimmy Jones clip | Play in Popup.

| Daniel Britt Interviews Sonya Isaacs | On March 29th, Sonya Isaacs called and we talked about an upcoming concert. (In fact, we recorded the interview as if we were talking on Saturday night, April 1st...) In addition to the concert talk though, we discussed Sonya's early start in music, what she calls her "MAN" -dolin, and a very interesting description of her voice (the product of two famous country women put together?). You don't want to miss it: Sonya Isaacs, my guest! | Get at Short URL | Download Daniel Britt Interviews Sonya Isaacs | Play in Popup.

| Daniel Britt Interviews The Isaacs (Lily Isaacs) | Lily Isaacs sits down with Daniel Britt to discuss witnessing the passing of Anthony Burger, her Jewish background, and the environmentally safe "Hybrid Isaacs."About Lily:Vocalist and matriarch of the group. Lily was born in Germany after World War II to two Jewish survivors of the Holocaust. She grew up in the Bronx, New York studying theatre, performing on Off Broadway , and recorded her first album in 1968 on Columbia records with her friend as ``Lily & Maria``. Being raised in a Jewish home, she was taught against Jesus as Messiah, and didn`t become a Christian until 1971 when a death in the family brought her to church for the first time. It was at that point in her life that she decided to serve God with her music as well, and along with the Isaacs patriarch, Joe began the foundation upon which the Isaacs have been built. | Get at Short URL | Download Daniel Britt Interviews The Isaacs (Lily Isaacs) | Play in Popup.
