conversations in hindi with bombay taxi drivers about migration and mulk, bombay and change, taxi driving and life. and some great taxi stories. each episode is a conversation in hindi with a taxi driver in bombay, recorded while we drive through the city. it explores migration and who are what is left behind and or not left behind, the story of settling in bombay and why taxi driving. we speak of the rapid changes to bombay and these same changes on the profession of taxi driving and where the driver situates himself. we talk of dreams and futures and family. and each driver tells stories. this is an oral history project and i am an ex-taxi driver. Any hindi speaker, desi or diaspora, who is interested in the stories from people, the stories of bombay, or misses the sounds and the stories and the people should listen. please visit the blog, in hindi and in english, with photos and the audio i didnt want to cut from the podcast but had to due to length.
