RadioMike Interviews The Makers of Adventures Of Power
My Darlin' Neurons, I am still busy and hard at work doing lots of everything. Soon, I'll have something wonderful to show you after all of my efforts and the eforts of those that have been helping me accomplish the next phase of evolution. In the meantime, I was very lucky to talk with two old friends from NYC and LA, the Brothers Gold who are just about to release Adventures Of Power in select movie theatres (http://www.adventuresofpower.com). In actuality, Ari wrote, directed, and stars, and Ethan wrote and recorded the score and most of the songs. I watched a screener a few nights ago, and while this is a comedy, there are some heartbreaking elements as well. If it gets a viewing in Asheville, I would love to see it on a big screen. I hope you enjoy the interview as much as I did. In other news, I went to see Yo La Tengo with a friend last Monday at our first big show in Asheville at the Orange Peel. I certainly need more albums by such a great band, and that may not even begin to describe them. What they do is beyond any Indie or any other kind of contemporary band I have ever heard or seen. I believe they may be beyond even the sum of their parts, something akin to Raymond Scott or even a Mozart. I was awed and still am. Go out and see some live music. RadioMike Loves You All

RadioMike Interviews David Nichtern/Beyman Bros
My Darlin' Neurons, Asheville has been treating me well. Yesterday I trekked up about seven miles up and back to a community just outside of Asheville to visit a friend and the ride was one of those scenic trips that y'all have heard about. It was tiring in a good way and fun. And last night it was over to a place called Jack Of The Wood to listen to some live Celtic jamming. Ah, I am really enjoying this place. If only I could find a way to survive on an hour of napping. No extra news at the moment but I am looking for bands to interview in Asheville or via the phone. Get in touch. And support your favorite musicians so they can keep creating the music that we love. Tonight's interview is with David Nichtern of the Beyman Bros., a band of musicians who have been featured individually and otherwise on several Christopher Guest film soundtracks, and in fact, Christopher Guest is none other than Doc Beyman. This was another one of those great fun interviews. I hope you are enjoying life wherever you are and it isn't too hot or too cold. RadioMike Loves You All,

RadioMike Interviews Steve Terebecki Of White Denim
My Darlin' Neurons, Eventually, I will blog about the wonders of Asheville and what I am doing in it but let us just say that i am enjoying it. Last weekend, last Friday, I took some basic Mambo dancing lessons, and if I can help it, i am going to take some basic dancing lessons soon. Something I should have done a long time ago. We shall see. But I have lots of work to do, even with all of the music I love to listen to. My sense of inner rhythm needs work. Tonight, my friend, and first intern, Steve Terebecki of White Denim holds court in my latest interview. Enjoy. My friends, the New Town Drunks have a record release coming up a little south of here, http://www.newtowndrunks.com/live.html You should check them out and go if you are close. You will have fun. Additionally, Anticlock records is raising monies for one of their talented artists by selling a few limited edition Lps. Anticlock is one of those labels with so much heart and great music that it almost hurts. You know what I am talking about. Go visit their site and throw them some help, http://www.anticlock.net/. RadioMike Interviews King Orba
My Darlin' Neurons, Things are getting good and interesting in Asheville and this makes me very happy. Last week I interviewed Soce The Elemental Wizard for the archives. Patience, I'll have that posted for y'all soon enough. Plus we literally ran into an old friend of ours, Cesco, one ofthe most incredible artists we met in Austin a few years ago. I scheduled an interview with him on Sunday. Tonight, I finally have the King Orba Interview. Sit back and enjoy. And in other well deserved plugs of all the great musicians we know, Amber Rubarth is pressing up another great album and she needs help. And like all great promoters, you get something for your thoughtful gifts. Go here and look around, http://www.amberrubarth.com/GoodMysteryCOLLECTORS.html. We gave $25 bucks earlier today. Remember what I confessed earlier this year? I like to give back to those who have enriched my life in one way or another. We all should. More later. it's going to be a busy week. Hug your best friend. RadioMike Loves You All and Sends Love and Hugs to MY Best Friend MMPR in the SC

RadioMike Interviews Steve Elson
My Darlin' Neurons, Before I forget and roll into the news, I should tell you that tonight's interview is with Steve Elson. Listen carefully. This is one o fthe good ones we did early in January this year. Thanks are in order as well. Lexi Street made her goal. More news is here, http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/lexistreet/lexi-street-music-project-operation-cd-completio, but I should give you all my heartfelt thanks if you gave as I did. I am honoured beyond words. In other quick succession news, Chuck Schiele new band, Bad Science Fiction, is up for best new band at the San Diego Music Awards, http://www.sandiegomusicawards.com/ Go vote for some band and vote often. Chuck has been doing this music thing for a while and he just crawling with talent. If we can ever meet up and chat, there may be a local San diego music show at some point. We certainly are looking for DJs to cover local scenes for the new site if you know anyone duly deserving. And back in Austin, my good friend, Ethan Azarian just had a baby (and we are pleased and jealous all at once). He needs to make a few buck and has a gig coming up at the Mohawk, 912 Red River Street, Wednesday August 5th at 10:00 pm sharp. It will be great !!! He'll be telling jokes and the lovely Jeff Johnston will be singing and playing the saw. It could only get better if Ethan came out to Asheville, NC. RadioMike Loves You All,

RadioMike Interviews Mark O'Connor
My Darlin' Neurons, Asheville is still wonderful and we wish you all could be here to appreciate it as much as I do. You'll just have to content with my updates until I start blogging again, but you can probably find pictures at AshevilleFM.org where they may have posted more pictures of yours truly as a volunteer. They still needs some major funds and I have already donated. Throw them a few bucks when you can. It's a great cause when you support local radio. I know you've heard it all before, but we are still working on the new site and when it's good and ready, y'all will be the first to know. The preliminaries are keeping us pretty darn busy. In the meantime, listen to the interview I did with Mark O'Connor, the Mark O'Connor. He's got quite a history and it was an honor to talk to him even besides the fact that he has studied under some of the all-time greats. Listen and find out. RadioMike Loves You All,

RadioMike Interviews Anomie Belle And Stuff
My Darlin' Neurons, We'll get straight to the point since we have limited space tonight. Our interview is with Toby of Anomie Belle. This is an artist that is worth checking out and you'll hear them soon enough here. I also wanted to inform you all of a few news items and good deeds that need doing: http://www.amazon.com/Elliott-Smiths-XO-33-3/dp/0826429009/ Our friend Gred D was interviewed about his experience recording an earlier version of "Bottle Up and Explode!" with Elliott at Waterfront Studios in 1996. I have a funny feeling this is worth getting and that's another album I Don't have. But soon I will. Our friend Lexi Street in Atlanta is off and running with a new album, and she needs financing from all of us. Donate to a well deserving artist and get prizes! http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/lexistreet/lexi-street-music-project-operation-cd-completio And I've recently become involved in a non-profit radio station start up in Asheville called http://www.ashevillefm.org that needs funding to get rolling. There's lots of wonderful people in Asheville, and I am amazed at what one group of volunteers has set out to do with just a little determination. They just need help to fund a few things. Check it out when you can (And apparently, I am on the front page.) RadioMike Loves You All,

RadioMike Interviews Astrella Celeste
My Darlin' Neurons, After a rather interesting ride on the Amtrak and a visit to DC and a grand tour of CNN and the capitol thanks to the always entertaining Paul M., I finally landed in Asheville, NC last Tuesday. Many thanks are due to Paul, Sky, and all of the interesting characters i met on the way. So far, Asheville is quite a peaceful place, and that's what I need after living in two big cities, one of them the always amazing NYC, where there are a few friends that I dearly miss. Tonight we bring you another amazing soul, ASTRELLA CELESTE, who has quite an amazing history and future, if you just listen to the latest RadioMike interview at the available link on our front page, http://ww.feveredbrainradio.com. RadioMike Interviews Ariel Abshire
My Darlin' Neurons,I have been madly packing and madly working on everything from the day job to the new site to packing for the moving trip to Asheville, NC with nary a minute of breath to pause.  I am happy and crazily content all at once.  I even received a phone call or two from some very important people in my life who are just as busy or more so than I am.  Thank you Mandy, Manuel, and Louisa.  Y'all are in my heart, always.  And because I didn't have time to write or post last week and because i won't have time to post this weekend, I am posting two interviews tonight:  ARIEL ABSHIRE and BARRY BLISS.  Each are from different ends of the muscal spectrum, but each are brilliant in their own right.  Ariel is a discovery from Austin who is one to watch, and Barry is an old comrade from the Antifolk scene in NYC.  He and his music are worth paying attention to.  So take note.I'll sign off for now, but give to your favorite or most worthy cause when you can.  without ourselves, noone is going to support us.  And to my bestest bestest friend wherever you are this week, MMPR, I love you to pieces.  The universe is blessed with your joy, and I am blessed to have you around to raise hell. RadioMike Interviews Paul Brill
My Darlin' Neurons, Not a lot of time to do much since the end of June is coming up fast upon us, and I am in the midst of preparing or my trip and meeting with everyone before I leave. This only leaves time to let you know that as soon as we have the new site up and ready for prime time, you will be the first to know. We are getting closer every day. In the meantime, give to your favorite most worthy charity whether that charity be an individual or not. Everyone has a cause that is worthy to them and to you. Tonight's interview is with PAUL BRILL who recently composed some music for a PBS show documentary that we had a chance to view while we visited the clan in California. We were quite amazed. We like interviewing composers and there will be more. RadioMike Loves You All,

RadioMike Interviews The Key Party
My Darlin' Neurons,The visit to California has come and gone, and I made it back just a little bit too late so I apologize for not communicating or posting a new interview.  The new web site organization is happening, but it's happening slowly.  I am doing my best to be patient.I am also doing quite a few interviews lately before I leave Texas and Austin for Asheville.  As you all know, I enjoys these interviews, and I am having fun with them as always.Tonight's interview is probably way overdue since we recorded it way back last October, but I believe Darren Gaines & The Key Party have recently released a new CD so my timeing may be perfect for once.  You should listen and tell them RadioMike sent you.I also reconnected recently with a good friend on the ubiquitous Facebook, Amanda Laws.  She's a filmmaker in New York City attending NYU and doing some darn fine work.  She is in desperate need for some financial help to complete her latest film. She has no idea I am posting this here, so tell her we sent you.  As you know wih such things, every penny helps.  I believe there is a link on the front of the site:  http://amandalawsfilms.com/RadioMike Loves You All

My Darlin' Neurons, Tonight's email will hopefully be short. I have ben having productive weeks and days, having met with a graphic designer last Thursday and the rest of the team earlier this evening. Oh, big changes are afoot. I'm happy and excited. I'm also going to visit my Granny, sister, niece and a whole family of friends, as I call them, next Thursday. It's been four years since I last set foot in California and I am looking forward to it. In the mean time, the Clara Lofaro interview is up for your listening pleasure. Dig in and enjoy. You know you want to. I enjoy these things as much as you do. RadioMike Interviews AlyssA And Stuff
My Darlin' Neurons, Changes are abound and change is good. This operation has never been a solo one. It has always been one that I enjoyed doing with your help and your suggestions, and once the new web site is up and functional, I won't be doing it alone. I am not really doing it alone now, with a business staff helping me hash out the nitty gritty details of making this all practical and brilliant. I am grateful to all of them and all of you. More than words. The interview tonight is with AlyssA who is just as charming in person as she is musically. This will be a treat. Tonight I want to say a brief thank you to all of the Mothers who make this world a better place, especially Jan W, Elizabeth K, my Granny (Where would I be without her!), and Marnie, my bestest friend. I can't wait to visit her and meet her new baby, Tripp. There are no words to describe what I feel in my heart for the world at the moment. RadioMike Interviews Gilbert Hetherwick
My Darlin' Neurons,I like doing these interviews.  It's my way of communing with the Creative World around me and to a certain extent of living vicariously, though I hardly do that except when I read a intensely elaborate novel.  we all do that.  Tonight's conversation is with someone we have admired since we accidentally found his musical in a thrift store.  Gilbert Hetherwick is an amazing soul and what's more amazing is that he is an amazing musician who used to be an amazing Record Company Executive who knew the importance of the Music balanced with the importance of the Business of all of this.  I hope you enjoy this as much as I do.And in the spirit of promoting other good causes as you have all supported and spread the good word of the RadioMike cause, the wondrous Kiku Collins is raising money for a good cause.  Essentially, Kiku is raising money for a walkathon to raise money for the National Institute For People With Disabilities.  She's participating the Central Park Challenge.  Give her  few bucks and make her a happy bugler. Here are the details:http://support.yai.org/site/TR?px=1231841&fr_id=1070&pg=personalRadioMike Loves You All,

RadioMike Interviews Peter Calandra
My Darlin' Neurons,Tonight's interview is with Peter Calanda, a film composer who should be much better known.  This will go a short way to do that.  This was also a very educational conversation for us.  I hope you get as much out of it as I did.I would also like to explain the links I have posted to the emails over the past few weeks asking for financial angels of any stripe.  I have asked for your help for so long and so often and, while help is still needed to get some major changes and a new web site off the ground, I also felt it was VERY important to put my money where my mouth is.  Friends asked for funding to help finish a CD project or two, among others, and while help is sill needed on those projects, I should tell you that though I asked for help on their behalf, I also contributed as I should and as we all should.  If we don't help each other, who will help us when we really need it?Just so that you know.RadioMike Loves You All

RadioMike Interviews Writer Dominic Smith
My Darlin' Neurons,Yes, I am still alive, just in case you were wondering. SXSW was last week and I planned on taking part and enjoying and relaxing with friends visiting the Madness, but alas, I became ill, ill beyond anything you could imagine. Somehow I survived but was tpo exhausted to see any but a few friends shows and do a little hanging out.  This is the divine's way of telling me that we are way overdue for leaving Texas.  we might be back some other March. In the meantime, from way back last April, we interviewed author Dominic Smith who has some unique ideas about writing and music.  We enjoyed this and you probably will, too.  One of our favorite musicians and extremely talented friends, Sean Padilla of the Cocker Spaniels, is still making some great music and he is willing to do it for you for a very small donation of $25.00. And believe me, it's worth it.  I'm going to do it soon, I hope. What he'll write a song about, I have no idea, but I'll come up with something.  Now go help him produce another great Classic Album:  http://www.facebook.com/inbox/readmessage.php?t=1118798811406#/event.php?eid=67424446413 If you can't read this, let me know.  RadioMike Loves You All.

RadioMike Interviews Camper Van Beethoven
My Darlin' Neurons,It's really Greg Lisher Of, but hey, he's still a key ingredient of that wonderful goulash of musical mayhem, so it still counts. We are in the midst of preparing changes for the new site and the new name as well as the ensuing chaos of SXSW next week and a physical move laster this summer.  Could we advertise our ADHD tendencies and more than that? We'll keep this one short.  You've been very loyal and so have we.  We are also seeing more and more musicians in need and we have taken note, and we are taking mental notes.  Our society has to support the arts a lot more than it does or it will not survive.ROBIN AIGNER and her several projects of the last few years have always supported RadioMike and we'd like to return the favor.  She's raising money for a new project. The catch is, and it's a big catch, if she doesn't raise the full amount needed, show won't take any donations at all.We have to make sure she collects that full amount.  Here is her link and an explanation of the project:http://www.fundable.com/groupactions/groupaction.2009-03-04.2606224449/groupaction_view"I'm trying to raise money to record an album. Lots of new songs, and nowhere to put 'em! Seems arts funding is on the ass end of the national budget. I thought of you in particular in this fundraising effort because you have been an enthusiastic supporter of my musical efforts over the years.  I feel a little funny asking for $ (mama didn't raise me that way), but I'm into this whole collective support idea, so I'm giving it a go! The actual costs for making the album will be about $3,500, but I'm looking to raise $2,500, and I will cover the rest. (By the way, this is an all or nothing deal: if I do not reach my goal of $2,500,your money will be refunded.)"Even RadioMike is giving.  At this point in time it is vital that we support each other in our efforts.  If we don't no one else will.  Give pennies, give dimes or get some merch.  All the info is on that link.RadioMike Loves You All.  Now go spread the love around.

The State Bird Interview, Maggie Walters, And Peter Case
My Darlin' Neurons,Tonight's interview is from a band who traveled down to Austin last year, State Bird.  It's a short but illuminating interview, the kind we really like.  So dig it.Maggie Walters, one of our favorites, is performing in a one-time only show in our favorite small city, NYC, at The Bitter End on Bleeker Street at 8.00 pm on Wednesday 4 March 2009.  Please go if you are in town.  We've heard this is a free show so go and tell her we sent you.  There's a flyer for your RSS readers but we will also post this to our web site.In other news, Joey Alkes of DJ Monkey sent us some sad and good news regarding an old compadre of his, Peter Case. Peter Case recently underwent emergency open-heart surgery.  Peter is not ill and is expected to make a full recovery, but medical bills associated with this necessary surgery and recovery are and will continue to be very high. And, like most talented working artists, Peter does not have medical insurance.  Peter needs our help so please donate what you can:  http://hiddenlovemedicalrelief.com/  We will soon. And last but not least, a dear friend of our Jill M. Armsbury - Pendarvis recently lost a well fought battle with Mesothelioma which also hit most of the recovery workers at the World Trade Center. She was a wonderful soul and a great musician.  I'd like to see some of my pennies and yours go towards this organization to find a cure.  Jill's page is here:  http://www.curemeso.org/siteapps/personalpage/ShowPage.aspx?c=kkLUJ7MPKtH&b=3374467&sid=cgLOI1NCKhIQKXPDIqHRadioMike Loves You All.

RadioMike Interviews Glenna Bell
My Darlin' Neurons,My brain has the gears rolling around and grinding so fast that I almost don't have time to stop and breathe.  I did have time to respond to an email from our good friend, Glenna Bell who's been busy and will be in Austin during the insane madness that is called SXSW. She is also the subject of my latest conversational chat from a few months back, ACL weekend in fact.  So while you are sitting at that desk contemplating working or looking busy, listen to this and decide your fate.So far your response to all of the immediate future changes in the fate of my little corner of Internet Radio has been overwhelming and positive.  I still need to hear from more of you and your friends.  It's not a matter of IF we can make this all work for all of us, but HOW.  This is key. This is important.  This is our collective future. So tell me what you think when you have a chance to write as I sit here composing the New Musicians and New Media Manifesto or some such thing in my head.(Per a very convincing email from one of the loveliest voices I know, RadioMike will live on, if you were at all curious.)RadioMike Loves You All

Please Read: The Future Of RadioMike And FBR
My Darlin' Neurons, For the past several months, with some of your help, I have been struggling to pay ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC, the Songwritersā representative agencies which are also the publishersā representative of some close friends on this email list.  I have finally realized, after much deliberation, that you are not seeing even a portion of the money I have been forwarding to them.  This is totally unfair to you, and it is counterproductive to why I ventured into Internet Radio in the first place:  To Promote My Friends. The funds that all of you, my friends, have donated so far will be used very wisely for site upgrades and the like. Some of you may have noticed that all music shows have been taken off of the site, but the rather entertaining interviews remain.  This is to avoid any messy unpleasantness on the part of the above Publishersā Representatives.  After a little time, the current site and web site name will be taken down permanently, and a new site will take its place.  I have been doing this for almost eight years now and I donāt intend to stop.  The formats of the shows will change and I am working with some additional DJs to provide additional programming as soon as possible.  Additionally, there will be an extra step in the consideration for airplay process.  I will need your personal permission to play your music in the shows and on the web site.  This will be done through a click-through button after reading a short Agreement Form.  This is to cover your behind and mine.  In time, I hope to establish an alternative to the current licensing and fee structure as well as the obvious pay-out structures.  From time to time I may reach out for advice as I am wont to do.  If any of you have ANY questions about this, please contact me and I will explain as best I can. In the meantime, I will mention that the JOEY ALKES OF DJ MONKEY fame is up on the site and you should all go and listen. I may mention him again in the next email, too. Weāve already raised $318.00 so far thanks to you and we can pay them a little something for now, but we still are in dire need to raise the rest.   Thereās only $510 to go.  Weāve come this far and we are more grateful than you could possibly realize for all that you have contributed, but we are not finished.  Please help us reach the finish line so we can stop begging and get to the upgrading of the site and seriously come up with some alternative income generation.   We hate begging as much as you all do, but right now we really need your help!   RadioMike Seriously Loves All You All, -- Take a Break, Listen, and Support RadioMike: http://www.feveredbrainradio.com

RadioMike Interviews Teddy Presberg And A Plea For Help
My Darlin' Neurons,Tonight's interview is with Teddy Presberg who was a joy to discover a little while back. Dig in to his music and to the interview. In further news we still need your help to pay these needed fees by December.  If you can spread the word, and tell your friends and contacts, every little bit has always helped in the past and is much needed now."Fevered Brain Radio has been alive on the Internet since June 2001. Since that time, we haveundergone several improvements and will continue to grow by eventually adding more DJs, more shows, and more artist interviews.  Right now, we make everything available for streaming and for download.  However, downloading comes with a cost.  The publishers and songwriter's representatives, ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC, demand licensing fees from us so that they can pay artists for our airplay and airplay at many other web sites and radio stations. We are still a long way off from raising the currently needed $817.00 for those licensing fees since we've only raised $212.21 so far. RadioMike Interviews George Carver My Darlinā Neurons, Thanks to your overwhelming response to our need for DJs and show hosts, we should be premiering some rather geographically far flung shows in due time.  In the mean time, the need for funds to stay alive is as serious as ever.  If we could knock on your door to beg we would.  The fees go to ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC so that you can receive royalties for song plays.  Thatās what the monies are for.  Without those monies, we canāt continue at the moment.  Those fees will be due soon.  Please send what you can.  The current fee totals amount to $817.00.  serious as a heart attack. Creatively, weāve got an interview with the one and only George Carver discussing his diverse musical history and how he fits into it.  This is another long one so sit back and enjoy. RadioMike Interviews Blake/e/e/e
My Darlin' Neurons, Things are a bit in flux at the moment as we eventually churn out another music mix for y'all and we are looking for DJs and Hosts to add their eclectic musical tastes to the Fevered Brain. we are also mid year again and we need your donations to survive into another year until we can turn this into a profit making venture for many of us.  So send your dollars and dimes to the link below.  We need it desperately and your generosity will not go unappreciated. Tonight's interview is with the Italian-USA collaboration of Blake/e/e/e which can be found on Myspace as blake3e.  Go and do a search and see them while you can. We are also looking for DJs, independent producers, and enthusiastic first-timers to contribute to our Musical and Talk Radio podcast content areas.  Contributors must love Music in all of its nuanced varieties as much as our founder, as we continue to discover eclectic and varied shades of Indie music with quirky edges that we canāt quite define from every corner of the universe.  While you help reduce the current musical submissions to a manageable collection of current music, you will begin to develop your own style/format and solicit submissions to your own specialty show in the immediate future. But letās get gently to the point: Are you interested in the job? Do you know someone who might be able and interested? Do you know someone I could contact who might know someone suitable? RadioMike Interviews Ethan Azarian
My Darlin' Neurons,We had meant to have a show up a lot sooner than this and we are working on a pretty darn good RadioMike musical interlude like we had so long ago, but it's not quite ready for prime time yet.  It will probably be ready soon, though. And then it's just more and more down the road. We're getting close to the end of the year and fund raising time so start throwing your spare change our way.  You will be loved more than you know. We'll hopefully have Noble's last Fighting Music show for you all.  We are sad to see Noble go, but time constraints are putting a damper on his creativity.  We are looking for new DJs in the Austin area and everywhere else. Do you know someone who might be able and interested? Do you know someone I could contact who might know someone suitable? Diversity is encouraged but you will need a computer and some basic basic equipment to do this.  Remember, if RadioMike can do it, it's not that hard and it's a lot of fun.We Love You All.Thank You And Bless You For Everything,Mike--Take a break sometime, and Listen, Support, and Help Us Grow: http://www.feveredbrainradio.com

My Darlin' Neurons,Itās been too long and we owe you another show, but organization and fund raising are keeping us pretty busy.  The good news is that new shows and DJs will be premiering soon enough and weāve raised $568.74.  The short version is that we only need $227.26 Holy Cow, my Darlinās, THAT means we are darn close.  We couldnāt have and canāt do it without you.  It WILL get easier.  Asking for your help is harder for us than it is for you. Seriously. Weād rather sell you Merch and Stuff so you can show your love for Fevered Brain Radio on your sleeves, literally.  Site changes are coming soon thanks to our brilliant staff of Internet Geniuses headed by the Web Architecture Goddess, AKA Gracie. Send her some love.Tonightās interview is with Hem, and itās a keeper.  But hereās some news, too.Our friend Arrica Rose started a non profit with some friends called I HEART - the goal being to raise money for local charities through artistic endeavors.  Details are here: http://www.myspace.com/iheartindierock but their first project is a 1940's pin-up girl calendar of Los Angeles based female musicians with an accompanying compilation CD. 100% of the profits go to Sojourn Services for Battered Women and their Children as well as to a Silverlake Music Conservatory Scholarship for a young girl. I know we corresponded about this before, and some of you generously donated, but we are getting close to deadline and desperate again.  If we don't raise $797 in funds by December, we won't be able to pay ASCAP/BMI/SESAC and keep all of this going.  So far weāve raised $242.39 towards that goal from some very generous souls.  Weāre getting closer so please give as much as you can.  Seriously.  This is all we need to survive at the moment.  Thriving will come later. Also in the news, a good friend in NYC and I are going to start releasing Compilation CDs of our favorite artists on a joint record label, something weāve wanted to do for a very long time. We need some advice.  If you all could write us back an email detailing what companies you all use for CD Duplication and best prices, etc, weād greatly appreciate it.  We want to do this right, but we donāt want to break the bank.  And from Nathaniel in NYC comes the sad news (For the conservative friends and relatives among us, please return to your regularly scheduled programming.  We love you all without question.) that the Childrenās Health Program was vetoed by the White House.  Letās fix that and as soon as possible. http://www.democrats.org/page/speakout/RejectBush RadioMike Loves You All--Forward To Friends, Read, Listen, Donate, and Add Your Gig To The Calendarhttp://www.thefeveredbrainofradiomike.com

RadioMike Interviews The Voyces
My Darlin' Neurons, New and Old,This is the interview that we've wanted to do like forever.  And it's finally happened.  That's mostly thanks to Brian who kept at me to find the time to sit down and talk. The Voyces are old friends from the Antifolk Scene in NYC so it was a pleasure to sit down and talk with Brian and Jude, especially since the music is so painfully beautiful. Even the the Voyces are part of our library, Brian talked about how rejuvenating and new the Voyces are lately and that was fun to hear.Listen and enjoy the whole thing again and again and let us know what you think.  And donate a few bucks.  Can you believe we have been doing this for almost six years?  It's been fun but, we need to keep this thing going, and we can't do it without your help. RadioMike Interviews Bev Davies
The Exclusive Interview With Music Celebrity Photographer Bev Davies.RadioMike has interviewed quite an interesting assortment of Musical celebrities and they have all been loads of fun.  But this is the first time we have had a chance to talk to someone who was on the front lines in the early 80's when the current DIY musical revolution began.  This was loads more than fun.  It was enlightening and we got to compare photography notes on her current digital photography techniques. You can find the calendar here: http://www.nardwuar.com/calendar/ And by the way, this is MORE than any calendar you will ever run across.  This is a picture book with commentary that you can hang on the wall.  If you do or don't like calendars, this is still the calendar for you.  Everyone who's seen it at our office loves it.For Bev's current crop of photos, you can go here for her Flickr Page:  http://www.flickr.com/photos/10626847@N00/And as always, just remember that we can't continue without your support.  Seriously.  So give and give often and tell your friends to give often.  Every penny and ever dollar will help.  We are so close to non profit status in Texas that it will make your giving that much easier and worthwhile.Fevered Brain Radio Loves You When You Donate and Forward This To Friends,http://thefeveredbrainofradiomike.com---New Show:   http://digbig.com/4mbqqListen:     http://digbig.com/4fadkSonicBids:  http://digbig.com/4qbwniGive:      http://digbig.com/4qmxmShaklee:    http://digbig.com/4qmxnMySpace     http://digbig.com/4mpke

RadioMike Interviews Jennie Walker
My Darlin' NeuronsIt has come time for us to branch out with legitimate show notes for these interviews, and add our own touch, so here we are.Jennie is a good friend from NYC who is from everywhere and has been to a few places we would love to see.  She has an unbelievable voice and proved it when she came to visit on her family sojourn to Texas.  More information is available about her and her musical adventures at her site, jenniewalker.com.  Soon  her music will be in the show, but for now the best place is to find it here where she premiered a partial song and an old favorite, all just accompanied by her single beautiful voice. We talked about quite a few things as we are wont to do and the conversation went into a few unexpected directions. You'll just have to listen and find out.We really need your help to keep these interviews coming and the show going.  When you give just a few dollars, you help to keep this going and you show RadioMike and the Fevered Brain Radio Network that you really care.See you in the Radio, my darlin'sRadioMike

RadioMike Interviews Johnny J. Blair
Yup.  We've Finally uploaded another interview.  Send more funds to keep this going and read some details below. My Darlin' Neurons, We have More content for the first time, but not the last.  Gemryld Jamson's first  show is definitely killer. Soon we'll have a new show from him and another from Mildred Pierce, our new DJ who may premiere a metal show soon for those of you who like that sort of thing, and we are looking forward to it. We've been mixing music and variety for over 5 years, and we have been doing it selflessly with style and for Free for you all.  The show has become bigger than we can handle alone. We need to expand, and we Cannot do it without your help.  What we all have created needs to grow into a network and a non profit to promote and help musicians from all over the world. We only have about $90.00 remaining from the fees that had to be paid to ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC.  The fees will continue to be owed and will increase. We need to raise more monies, and we need reliable equipment to keep doing the show in a quality fashion.  We have posted the first installment of the Tribute Mix and Part 2 is not far behind. But more is needed.  With the help of our Intern, we'll have a new site and goodies to offer to everyone.  Please tell your fans and friends to donate anything they can afford in Your Name, even as little as a Dollar.  You won't be forgotten, and your fans can visit the Hall of fame as often as they want. Tonight, we have two treasures, the Johnny J. Blair Interview (with some surprising influences), and the Tribute Mix #1 with the following contributors and musical treats: AFTER THEM, ANTHILL, STEFANIE SESKIN, LITTLE AURORA, BREADFOOT, KELLY C, JOHN CAPO, NIELS CEDERFELD, CITY CANYONS RECORDS, MICHAEL CARROLL, THE CUMBERLAND TRIO, MELLANI DAY, DROP TRIO, JAY GOETTELMANN, GERALD F, JUDE PATCH GUGLIELMINO, ERIC HAYDOCY, JOHNNY SEVEN, JOIE/DBG, JAMIE MARTIN, and MASHED BUDDHA.  This is like one of those mix tapes of great unknowns that you used to give to your friends, only you can download it.  Plus this is a collector's item.  There is no commentary from RadioMike, just pure music.  All links can be found at the Hall Of Fame Link and some contributors still need to send us their music for the next Mix.  We want to do more of these Tributes so send in your contributions, Now. My Darlin Neurons, We lost many interviews that we will have to rerecord with our friends, but All is well in RadioMikeland.  So far we have raised over $100 towards everything we are all working for this next year.  We"ve also added two new ways for you to contribute to the Fevered Brain:  iGive.com (Thanks, Candee, wherever you are!) where you can buy from your Favorite Online stores and Shaklee Products where you can purchase the Best products for Hearth And Home.  We told you we were expanding, and Now we are delivering in ways you cannot possibly imagine.  Links are below, so tell your friends and family to help us out when they can.  We really have a long way to go... Tonight, weĆļļve got a long but entertaining Interview with Austin Institution, Jim Ellinger.  He can talk us under the table as you soon shall hear.   We have lots to report in the New Year with a new site hopefully soon, along with actual New Years Resolutions to learn Italian, Spanish, and African drumming.  Seriously.  Visit the sites below and the RadioMike Calendar for more details. RadioMike Interviews Rebbe Soul
My Darlin Neurons, Since we spoke last, we have raised $104.89.  You all are pretty wonderful to continue helping in every way that you have.  Here is another way you can keep helping AND buy the things you need at the same time:  http://www.igive.com/radiomike.  A small percentage will go to The Fevered Brain Of RadioMike to help us reach our ongoing needed goals.  We told you all changes were coming.  Slowly but surely they are.  Much thanks and gratitude go to Candee E. for this one. She is also helping us with Imani to become that Non Profit we keep talking about. Tonight, the interview is our first with the New telephone service, and we think it is pretty cool.  Bruce of Rebbe Soul took time out of his busy Musical travels to talk to us about Chanukah, and various other curiosities that we asked him about.  We learned a lot and had fun, too.  You should enjoy this one. Here are some important things.  Maggie Walters (http://www.maggiewalters.com) is still up for the UBL contest and needs our votes: http://www.ubl.com/nrp/content/contest/.  Help her get there and maybe we can sweet-talk her to gig in your town.  She still amazes everyone.  And the RIAA has been in the news more and more lately and it is nerve-wracking to some of us.  The EFF has written a petition that might slow down the madness.  We do not all agree with their legitimacy (Yes, Vince, you have always had some good arguments.), but we can all agree that there must be an Alternative to the legal actions against grandmothers with no computer knowledge.  Sign the petition so we can get there:  http://www.eff.org/share/petition/. Now here is someone we may be working with soon:  http://www.davefilms.us/DaveFilms/Podcast/Podcast.html.  Dave is creating some interesting Radio Theatre with his team of Creatives,  and he is worth checking out.  Tell him we sent you. RadioMike Interviews Federico Of Madcap Collective
My Darlin Neurons, We have begun the long process of eventually becoming a 501c3 non profit, so once we have the equivalent established in the state of Texas, donating to the Fevered Brain will eventually be a tax write-off for you all.  Until then, we realize how hard it is to give when we all have so little, but just remember you got us here.  Seriously.  We are podcasting because of Every one of you.  Ultimately, the funds you contributed are a pittance compared to the Love you gave and the Love you continue to give.  That is priceless.  We owe you more than just thanks. We owe you more than just big Texas-sized hugs from the bottom of our hearts as you continue to give what you can. Blessings to all yall. This interview is the first interview we ever did, back in June of 2002, with Federico Zanatta. Fede started the fine label/collective, Madcap Collective, in Italy about a year later.  He was about to leave NYC for Italy so this is and was a rare and treasured conversational moment that covered quite a few topics before his gig with O Ghost a few hours later. We'll have that rare gig recording in a few weeks.  And the classics just keep on coming. And, for all yall, we've signed up at SonicBids as a "Radio Show."  Sovisit us here:  http://www.sonicbids.com/Opportunity/OpportunityView.aspx?opportunity_id=10314, and send us your stuff.  And yes, there is a link on the front page of our site. Soon, we'll be up there soliciting artists for our monthly showcase, once we get that going again. If any of you have some amazing or Interesting Christmas music, send it on.  We want to make this show even better than last year.  Let's make it a classic! RadioMike Interviews The Love
My Darlin Neurons, Yes, we have first RadioMike Showcase photos.  We hope you like. The Hall of Fame is now linked on the Front Page. So go visit, and while you are there, read the new site Introduction.  We just updated it to reflect some recent donations. We have the fees needed for The New Year! Take a good look in the mirror and thank yourselves for giving to the Cause.  You got us here, and we Love you all for that.  There are still friends and fans and fellow musicians who have not donated, but it will never be too late.  We have posted links to the needed equipment that we have started to receive donations for, so have a look and send us your suggestions for mics, and a proper refurbished Mac (Brand new is just too expensive for anyone until we have Corporate Sponsorship or some such thing.) Our Interview is a rather Interesting one from two premiere entertainers, Jamie Stellini and Jessie Murphy, now known to the World as THE LOVE (http://myspace.com/theloveinspace).  You have to hear their professed appreciation for Hall And Oats.  Seriously. This was an altogether fun and delightful interview.  Dig in. Our friend Eric (http://www.ericnehermusic.com/) is heading down to Austin from NYC (during SXSW 2007) to play a few gigs on the way and on the way back (and hopefully in Austin as well).  He has a car and he is looking for one talented musician of any genre to share the musical stage with as well as expenses.  Any takers?  There are quite a few of you we actually miss, but there is only room for One.  Who wants to visit RadioMike and his Fevered Brain? Maggie Walters (http://www.maggiewalters.com) is finally up for one of those best of awards. It's been a long time coming, and you all know she deserves this and more.  So go vote once a day, and we can all say we knew her when she was mostly unknown and Brilliant: http://www.ubl.com/nrp/content/contest/index.htm RadioMike Loves You So Please Donate And Forward This To Friends, http://thefeveredbrainofradiomike.com---Support:            http://digbig.com/4masbNew Show:           http://digbig.com/4mbqqListen:             http://digbig.com/4fadkMySpace RadioMike:  http://digbig.com/4mpkeMySpace Showcase:   http://digbig.com/4nkmn
