The Bushfinger Music Project GarageBand Show Episodes - | Two Weeks?!?! | Play in Popup. | It took four days for UPS to ship my drum kit 80 miles. *shakes head* (I asked/begged if I could just drive it down there myself but they said no?!?) Given the hassles involved just to get it on a truck, I'm glad they managed to send me an email letting me know it actually made it to its destination. But, as it turns out, that was the easy part! Now, I don't know much about repairin' electronical devices, but I do know where to get a part just like anything electrical in about 48 hours- you know, that Internet thing? So, after two days of not hearing a thing about the status, today I took it upon myself to contact the shop I sent my drums to. After telling them 12 different kinds of information, they verified they had received the shipment, and that it may take 2-3 weeks to get the thing fixed.2-3 WEEKS?!?! I could have ordered the one broken part and had it shipped in 2-3 days! The price we pay to not spend money! Go figure! And of course, I've put it into my calendar to bug them again in 14 days. :) |

| Smells Like Flowers - Bushfinger Music Project | My friend james* has recently started a fun little project where a topic of the month is presented, and a variety of people are asked to contribute something creative surrounding that topic. When I received the email about December's topic, I already had half the song written before I even finished reading the email! As good with words as james is, I took the liberty of borrowing a bit of text from the email (with permission of course), added a few words of my own, some catchy pop riffs, and voila!"New Music Tuesday, Episode 35" is smugly entitled "Smells Like Flowers", co-written by yours truly and james, who prefers lowercase and would want you to visit stewedtomatoes.blogspot.com for some excursions in creative writing, photography, and the occasional theme-related pop song.Smells Like Flowers - Bushfinger Music Project 2:30Download/PlaySubscribe || Subscribe through iTunesRead The Blog: bushfinger.blogspot.commyspace.com/bushfingermusicproject (Thanks for the ADD!)*New Music Tuesday. | Episode 33: Survivalism (Nuclear Winter Mix) | Trent Reznor gets it. In late 2006 he posted the second full multi-track master of one of his songs onto the internet, "Survivalism"- inviting the general masses to remix it at will. I began my interpretation of this track in early 2007 and was somehow distracted. (*coughmastersthesiscough*)I went back and "completed" my remix a few days ago, which I have dubbed the "Nuclear Winter" mix. I encourage your thoughts and comments!Survivalism (Nuclear Winter Mix) - NIN 7:53Download/PlaySubscribe || Subscribe through iTunesRead The Blog: bushfinger.blogspot.commyspace.com/bushfingermusicproject (Thanks for the ADD!)*New Music Tuesday. | Episode 29: Come My Way (Bushfinger Remix) - Cami | It's New Music Tuesday, Episode 29, featuring my friend Cami and good karma! While "Good Karma" is an excellent name for a band, we're talking about the concept that bad things happen to bad people and good things happen to good people. Eventually anyway.(Photo courtesy Cami W. Photographer unknown)Cami, describes herself as many things, Trance Diva, Rock Star, Cool Chick... All of them true! She has over 40 original, collaborative, and others' songs recorded. Some have been played overseas and a few in the USA. Most of her work is recorded trance, house, electronica meant for the club/rave scene, but she also loves more moody sounds like Depeche Mode, Wolfsheim, Blaqk Audio, VNV Nation, and similar. She has recorded and written in every style from acoustic folk to blues, cabaret, alt/pop, alt/rock, rock, indie, punk, musical theater, standards, and adult contemporary.I had the honor of remixing some of her most widely known tracks in 2005, and then my studio was ransacked and I lost all my master tapes. I recently found some of Cami's remixes, and with her permission, now feature one of my favorites, "Come My Way".Listen to more Bushfinger/Cami remixes, as well as many other great tracks on her music site, www.reverbnation.com/cami or www.myspace.com/hapacami. And if you're the type who spends money easily, buy some of her tracks for pete's sake, since I give mine away for free!Cami is currently seeking to sing for experienced producers/DJs who specialize in the styles listed above. The Bushfinger Music Project Garageband ShowCome My Way (Bushfinger Remix) - CamiDownload/PlaySubscribe || Subscribe through iTunesRead The Blogmyspace.com/bushfingermusicproject (Thanks for the ADD!)*New Music Tuesday. | She Draws Sheep - The Bushfinger Music Project | It's Episode 28, it's New Music Tuesday, and it's all about the sheep! And girls. But not like that.Another oh so true tale, written specifically for, and dedicated to- a close friend. Because I promised I would try to sing for her. With boy-band inspired harmonies backed by a teen-centric rock beat, "She Draws Sheep" is a certainly one of the proudest moments in BMP history. For now. (As always, lyrics are included in the ID3 tag!) | Episode 27: Giving Up - Bushfinger Music Project | OMG! It's the British Invasion all over again! No, actually, it's just New Music Tuesday, Episode Twenty Twenty-Seven*This week's song, "Giving Up", is inspired by the 60's and 70's brit-pop sounds from groups such as The Hollies, The Yardbirds, and The Zombies (who, incidentally, get my vote for coolest band name of that era). Slightly cheeky, lightly produced, definitely boppy, and of course, deceptively depressing! All in an upbeat, reverb-laden facade. Bob's your uncle!(Special thanks to our pals at irieman.com for hosting this, and other content- for free even!)The Bushfinger Music Project Garageband ShowGiving Up - Bushfinger Music ProjectDownload/PlaySubscribe || Subscribe through iTunesRead The Blogmyspace.com/bushfingermusicproject (Thanks for the ADD!)*New Music Tuesday.
