Cecilia is a native Zimbabwean and recently married Si, an Englishman. They come from different cultures and have been brought up with different beliefs. In this podcast, they explore the lesser-known Shona culture and language and chat about their different perspectives. Each episode, new Shona words or phrases are introduced as Cecilia tries to teach Si to speak her family's language. One day they'd like to raise bilingual children and Si does not want to have to ask the kids "What did mummy just say?". This is a relaxed, family-friendly and non-political podcast with an amazing variety of listeners from all over the world.
