Xtraordinary Living Episodes - | Podcast #55- Living a Pain-Free Lifestyle | The media would have you believe if you are not taking a drug for joint pain, or a drug to relieve chronic back pain – you are destined to a life of compromises. Let’s face it, the world of modern medicine either prescribes drugs to mask the pain or surgery to relieve the pain.
In this new podcast interview, we wanted to cover the topic of – “Now that the pain is gone, what do people do to sustain living a pain-free lifestyle.” As background, Chris Kussoff graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia, earning a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science. During the past six years he’s studied under the therapy’s founder Pete Egoscue. Chris has played a major role in the development of the travel therapy program, and is credited with paving the way for many of the satellite Egoscue clinics throughout the country. Chris believes we all deserve to be comfortable in our bodies and with the proper strength training—it’s possible to lead an extraordinary life!
In this Xtraordinary Living Podcast #55 you'll hear: --> What exactly is Egoscue? --> As with any medical-related visit, people are naturally apprehensive. Chris runs through what does a person’s “first visit to an Egoscue Clinic” look like. --> How long does a person come in for therapy? --> What happens when the pain is gone? --> How does a person’s Egoscue-cises or “exercises” fit in a normal every day lifestyle? --> What is meant by a “strength menu?” --> People are given a lot of alternative fitness options – yoga, pilates, personal trainers, fitness gyms--how does one know which is the best choice for their body’s condition and needs? In closing we asked Chris, "As the Baby Boomers retire at a rate of 10,000 every day . . . what advice do you have to help them maintain an active, pain-free lifestyle and to stay on top of their game? His answer was quite simple--one we can all take heed of and put into practice. | Get at Short URL | Download Podcast #55- Living a Pain-Free Lifestyle | Play in Popup.
