Welcome once again DUB lovers to the FreestyleDub.com podcast.  Sorry for the delay in between podcasts lately.  We're trying hard to keep up with all the material that we collect each and every week from Winston's but sometimes we get all get a little bogged down but we truly are trying to get more consistent with when we post.  Anyway, thanks for listening and being patient with us.  Remember all the playing, mixing, editing, ect., is done, at this point, completely for free.  We hope in the near future we can get some "best of" albums out there to help with bills and time put into this.  This week's offering is another hour jam packed with guests both on the mic and on instruments .  We had C-Money, a returning Leveler, who is of course in Slightly Stoopid on keys and trumpet.  J played some guitar.  We had Jacob Martinez and Santiago step up to the mic.  This week we also had a never before heard guest in Ted Washington.  He's a poet and and writer among other things and leader of the band called Pruitt Igoe.  He also happens to work the door at Winston's. Welcome once again DUB lovers to the Seismic Leveler vs. Cue, FreestyleDub.com free podcast.  This week's installment is brought you from the heart of Seismic Leveler.  The roots crew including Japheth on guitar, Tommy Dubs on keys and voice, Digital Dave on drums, and Mike on bass.  We also had had some vocal contributions from a familiar face at the DUB sessions, Jacob.  You'll probably be hearing more from this bredren as he is quickly becoming a regular Leveler.  We also want to get the word out about a "best of" collection that we're going to make available on iTunes and every where else you might get your digital media from.  We intend to keep the podcast free to all but we hope that you DUB aficionados out there will be willing to pay a few bucks for collection of our best moments.  This is simply to keep the lights on and make it possible to continue bringing you this unique DUB experience.  We also hope to have some t shirts and stuff like that available soon too.  Thanks again for listening and we'll keep bringing you the DUB from our little beach town, OB, to where ever you are in the world. Welcome one and all to the ninth podcast brought to you with love from Seismic Leveler and Cue.  This, my friends, is what Seismic Leveler and and the whhole idea of a live DUB jam is all about.  We had lots of guests representing lots of bands playing multiple instraments.  First, let's cover our normal Levelers Tommy Dubs playing keys, guitar, bass, and vocals, Mike Lockrem on guitar, bass, and keys and Japheth on guitar.  We had the always inspiring Tim Pacheco from Psydecar and South Town Generals on drums.  Carlos Marin also from Psydecar handling the lion's share of the bass and some keys.  Touch of Cas lent his voice on a track.  We were very honored to have C-Money from the band Slightly Stoopid and C-Money and the Players Inc on keys.  Slightly Stoopid is our hometown band who made it big with their tour this summer with Snoop Dogg.  Slightly Stoopid just had an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel and seem to be grabbing the attention of the whole country and we were lucky enough to have a member as a Leveler.  Much thanks and respect for that one.  Hope you enjoy this allstar lineup of players and singers improvising on the most noble of themes. Greetings DUB-lovers.  We offer our latest deposit to the worldwide DUB bank.  This week we have a strong returning cast of Levelers featuring special guest Pele from Psydecar, South Town Generals, ect. on guitar, Tommy Dubs on keys, DigiDave on drums, and Mike on bass.  Pike Pinto was in the house and he threw down some vocals as did Tommy.  Seismic Leveler is trying something new this week(1/18/10).  We're taking the band on the road.  We've yet to attempt a true Seismic Leveler show with Cue dubbing and all anywhere but Winston's.  We're going to open for the Tommy Dubs band in Carlsbad, CA at the Boar Cross'n on Thursday 1/21/10.  Anyone in north county SD should definitely check us out live and of course hang out for the Tommy Dubs show too.  Tell your friends about us and thanks for listening. And so we begin another year of relentless DUB confrontation.  Seismic Leveler vs. Cue.  Live.  Improvised.  Without a net.  Boldly bringing you your weekly dose of DUB.  This week's offering features yet another member of one of our main contributing bands, The Devastators.  This time we have Brian Teel, the guitar player for The Devastators and Quinazo showing off his bass chops with the Leveler.  Dave Carano, a returning Leveler, is on guitar along with J from The Watchlist, Ishmael and the Peacemakers, and Vegitation on guitar as well.  Regulars Tommy Dubs on keys and Digital Dave on drums holding it down.  We plan, for 2010, to continue bringing you a unique DUB experience no matter where you dwell on this planet or elsewhere.  We most definitely want to thank Winston's for giving us a stage and home for this venture, all the players who mash it up every week for no money, and most of all, everyone who hangs with us at Winston's on Wednesday's 6-8 and all of you downloaders who can't be with us physically.  We know you're out there.  Bless.

And the DUB don't stop.  We've been hard at work at the DUB factory to bring you another podcast full of the deepest riddims available.  This week we have Dave Carano on guitar, who is a returning guest to Seismic Leveler.  Dave is well known as a local guitar hero (not the video game) for quite some time.  His jazzy and sometimes down right trippy approach to music is always a welcomed addition to our already out there project.  He also lends his voice on some cuts as do Leon and Tommy.  Digital Dave is on the drums, Tommy's on keys, and Mike's on the bass.  Serg Mahalo stepped up on bass as well and Mike did a little mixing.  The popularity of the podcast seems to be taking off and we couldn't be more stoked and thankful to everyone on board.  Please give us a rating on iTunes (if that's how you get to us) as it helps our ranking and tell all your DUB-loving friends to check it out.  Bless

Check it out.  Episode 5 of the weekly podcast is upon us.  This session brought a different drummer to the mix which always has a big impact on the jams and this week was no exception.  We had Tim Pacheco of Psydecar, South Town Generals, and really too many great bands to even try to list.  Tim has been a major player in the San Diego reggae scene for many years.  This guy can do it all.  He's the lead singer, trumpet player, and percussionist in Psydecar and seems to be able to hold his own on almost any instrument.  We also had Shaun Hart on keys which is a returning guest.  These two were even in a band together, The Wise Monkey Orchestra.  Please tell your friends about our podcast and spread the DUB!

This is the first of a weekly podcast featuring Seismic Leveler vs. Cue.  Seismic Leveler is an ever changing group of musicians (although a core group holds it down regularly) that gather at Winston's in Ocean Beach, CA to play live improvised reggae while Cue "dubs" it out.  All the songs are made up on the spot and all the mixing is done live in front of an audience.  This week's offering features Tommy Dubs on keys, Digital Dave on drums, Mike and Ivan on bass, and J on guitar. 10/28/09.  We'll try to get caught up to the most current week soon as this is the first podcast,  we're just getting it figured out.  We will also be releasing a Best Of cd and download occasionally, but more about that later.  For now please check out this one and don't be afraid to tell your friends about us.
