East Coast Conservative Podcast Episodes -

Episode 119: Same Names, Same Games
Tonight's episode started off shaky but finally got rolling - I had a true case of being tongue-tied! We did get things right and after that it was all clear! For this week's episodes we've got some stories that are living examples of Einsteinian insanity... trying something repeatedly and expecting different results. In this case the experiments are coming from the left, they're not anything new and they're producing the same results. Episode 118: Where'd That Come From?
In tonight's show we've got some things to catch up on along with a few stories that I was surprised to find. As usual, more is going on than can be covered in the 26 or so minutes that makes up the nightly news! I think the most memorable part of this episode is going to be the fact that I when I voice the fact that I feel sorry for Gov. Paterson and was effectively told not to waste my emotion. We also ended with some words from Michael Moore address to President Obama - words that I'm not surprised to see and that further point to an extremely interesting election season. Thanks to Warpig for the link to that late in the show! Click Here to download the show or open the Blubrry player on the right (the blue round thing). Thanks for listening! Episode 117: Corruption and Health Care
Tonight's show went quite long - almost 10 minutes over! There were a lot of things to talk about and... well... those things just happen some times!  I'll also warn everyone (and I do on the podcast as well) that the conversation about Toyota dips pretty far into the "conspiracy theory" gene pool.  Listen with your tinfoil hat tightly attached! In tonight's episode we had to cover the obvious points. First off, a catch-up from something discussed last week about the school spying. Then we had Toyota, Rangel, Paterson and the Health Summit to talk about. It was a very interesting show with comments coming from SecondLife and TalkShoe, where we had a guest from "the other side" that spurred some of the conversation. Episode 116: Beer, Branding and Bruising
We're back after a week off with a few interesting tales to tell and articles to talk about. There is a particular graphic that I wanted to discuss tonight - one that I had mentioned two weeks ago. Before we got into that, there were some other stories that had to be discussed - the links to them are below. Tonight's show was a bit bumpy - Ken and I were both exhausted. Additionally, some of the articles I originally found were from previous battles between Kay Bailey Huchison and Rick Perry. We also had a great crowd in the Talkshoe chat room with had good comments and conversation. For those that can't join in on the live recordings, we are working on a way to deliver the transcripts via the web after the show. For now, you just have to put up with me reading those comments I feel bear repeating. Click Here to download the show or open the Blubrry player on the right (the blue round thing). Episode 115: A Tale of Two Parties
In tonight's show we are going to talk about a few local items and then plow into a couple of articles about the movements being made at the Tea Party convention. We also have to make a few remarks about the President's plans for the near future and what impact that may have. Click Here to download the show or open the Blubrry player on the right (the blue round thing). Thanks for listening! Actually, as the discussion moved forward, the Tea Party seems to be coming out less as a third party and more as a political power. This is good on a number of different levels. First and foremost is the fact that, as systems are set up today, any candidate that wants a chance of winning needs to have the support of either one of the majority parties (GOP/DNC) or have a LOT of personal prestiege. By working as a power, the Tea Party can back candidates that support a fiscally conservative platform regardless of the letter at the end of their name. Ken kept an eye on the game (it *was* Superbowl Sunday, after all) and called the game for the Saints 3 minutes in. Guess they will come marching home after all! One thing that was mentioned during the show that will be updated on the site this week - the show for next week will probably be postponed or potentially cancelled. We'll have to see how things progress. Episode 111a: Stay On Target
The first comment of 2010!  For those who aren't familiar with the Comments, they are short recordings that I make during my drive to or from work on some subject or another.  The subject for this one is something that we've said quite often - we need to keep "on target" when it comes to the antics and actions of this administration. When I recorded this issue, the news was just breaking about the earthquake on Haiti. While both Ken and I agree that it is a horrible situation and one that deserves a lot of attention, the 24 hour news cycle has been completely diverted to it. Before that, it was Harry Reid's supposed gaffe. As much as I don't want to seem dismissive of the Haiti tragedy, I can't help but think that there are other things going on that are going unreported when it comes to the Health Insurance Reform bill or other nasty things like Cap & Trade. Before the link to the audio, a link to something more humanitarian: support for Haiti. Click on this link to be taken to the Red Cross site where you can donate. I will warn you ahead of time that the audio quality of this particular comment isn't the best - and that's after I edited the heck out of it! Episode 111: Those Wacky Terrorists
Tonight's episode starts with a follow-up to last week's show, hopefully withotut the need for the verbal acrobatics that came to play before. Then we each actually have a couple of local issue to discuss. Finally, some discussion on the state of the War on Terror and how the current administration has decided to deal with it. A special thanks to everyone that joined us in the Talkshoe chat room! This show would not be what it is without the "live" feedback of the listening audience! Episode 110: Starting with a Question Mark
For our first show of the year, we decided that we would hit the ground running with some questions of our own. In short, we dediced to begin with a question mark. In some cases it will end that phrase, "what tha..." and in other cases the question is more like, "what was the point?" We were joined by a large and active chat audience, both in TalkShoe as well as SecondLife. On the call we also had a guest caller, Jeff from Anna, TX. While the conversation went off the planed track at that point it still was an enjoyable one! The joy of live shows was evident tonight. Click Here to download the show or open the Blubrry player on the right (the blue round thing). Thanks for listening! Here are the questions and their related articles: And Obama's Point was...? Episode 108: They Eat Their Wounded
Tonight's show ran long but man was it worth it! Episode 105: Commentary and Reasoned Debate
Tonight's off-scheduled show is brought to you by the letters "Y" (for yelling), "I" (for "impatient") and the number 42, which is either the average airspeed of a coconut laden swallow or maybe it's the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe and everything. Or maybe both. Regardless, it's been a bit of a slow news week and with all the different issues that have come up recently with hot-button items, I felt it was time we talked about debating, discussions and arguments. Some folks might wonder why we would bring up debating when we're a commentary show. That's part of the issue: some times people need to know the differences and seldom do they understand them. Episode 103: Veteran's Day Ranting
This past week was a time for remembering and recognition. It was also a week filled with some of the most amazingly mind-boggling headlines that we have to talk about tonight!
