I’m celebrating a long planned revamp of the WAHM Talk Radio website  this week. You know, they say that taking action becomes a habit – and I believe it’s true.  For several months I looked at my long term goals list and made a lot of excuses to procrastinate – but a few weeks ago I set those excuses aside and started to use my weekends to tackle items on the list. Getting things done feels great!  I even got quite a bit done towards launching my next project, Blog Internship.  (I hope you’ll give it a peek!) Every year around this time people start asking me about the ‘summer slow down’.  They’ve heard that business slows way down in the summer and wonder if they should just accept it. Of course my answer is NO!  I decided a long time ago that I would not lay down and take a long summer nap with my business.  Instead of accepting that the warm summer months will be a drag, I go for the gusto! In today’s episode Christie interviews Roberta Rosenberg, The Copywriting Maven. Roberta has been working from home for 22 years, which was 7 years before she even had children. Very much a pioneer in the work at home field! Roberta’s company MGP Direct Inc. is a full-service Direct Marketing agency and she also has two side projects: AdoptShoppe and AdoptShoppePress which are e-commerce stores which came about when Roberta noticed a need in the market and she filled it. They discuss how working at home has changed in the past two decades, what the transition was like becoming a parent while working at home, social media, e-commerce and of course copywriting! Roberta shares her knowledge (and copywriting tips) and tells us how she manages to get a lot of work done at home every day.
