| 8.2 - Carrie Newcomber | This week we have an interview that has been in the can for a while now. Nick interviews the singer songwriter Carrie Newcomer. She has a folk/country type sound that she uses to tell stories, protest, and give hope.

| Throwing It Against The Wall | Nick and I are throwing it against the wall. It being the proverbial "ish". This is basically a quick 5-6 minute awkward talk about money and advertising space on the podcast. We're toying with the idea of launching 15 and 30 second ad spots advertising books and albums and anything else that people will pay us for. And to do it tastefully. Your thoughts and feedback would be appreciated. | to send to friends | Download Throwing It Against The Wall | Play in Popup.

| 7.0 Shane Claiborne | Shane Claiborne joins us this week for the podcast. Shane is his usual hospitable, nicest guy in the world, self. He waxes poetic with us about justice, poverty, and economics with his east Tennessee southern drawl.
At one point, Nick accused Shane of spamming him for money after his home burned to the ground. Which almost made Shane cry. But Nick recovered and apologized and we all moved ahead better people because of it.
If you know anything about Shane, you know that he's a stand up guy and beyond gracious. Josh even tried to bait him into civil disobedience talk once and Shane stayed above the fray as usual. | to send to friends | Download 7.0 Shane Claiborne | Play in Popup.

| 6.0 Troy Bronsink | Josh drove down to hang out with Troy Bronsink last week. If you don?t know Troy, you?re missing out. Troy was recently named one of Atlanta?s Least Influential People by Creative Loafing Magazine, which has to be one of the better awards out there. He also has a chapter in An Emergent Manifesto of Hope on being God?s handiwork. But we talked about art, pastoring, the suburbs, city life, and the ?acts? we do as artifacts. | to send to friends | Download 6.0 Troy Bronsink | Play in Popup.
