Rhyme Tyme w/ DJ Peter Parker

next

"Rhyme Tyme" is the ultimate in hip hop radio. You can't ask for more. The combination of live guests performing and hot records being spun is the perfect balance. And you know the show motto, "More Rappin And Less Flappin". So unecessary talk and screaming over records is not happening.

Rhyme Tyme w/ DJ Peter Parker Episodes -

Episode 11 (1/23/04) - The Killa Sha Hour
First off let me start by saying ?R.I.P. Killa Sha?!!! I?m damn near speechless. This shit came out of nowhere. I was fortunate to work closely with Sha for many years. He was the epitome of hip hop. On the mic he was a beast and he more than held his weight on the turntables. On a personal note, Sha was one of the funniest cats I ever had the pleasure to be around. His wit and magnetic personality are clearly demonstrated in the 46 episodes of Rhyme Tyme we co-hosted together. In memory of Killa Sha I'd like to open up The Spider's Web vaults and present Episode #11 "The Killa Sha Hour". God bless the dead. 1) Rhyme Tyme Theme Song = Killa Sha 2) Show Intro 3) Nightshiftin = Killa Sha 4) Inner City = Killa Sha 5) Night Runs = Killa Sha 6) No One (Remix) = Killa Sha w/ Maxwell 7) Nourishment = Killa Sha 8) Hurt Niggas Freestyle = Killa Sha w/ Lloyd Banks and Prodigy 9) You Don't Know My Name (Remix) = Killa Sha w/ Alicia Keys 10) Mic Break #1 / interview = Killa Sha 11) Down And Out In New York City = Killa Sha 12) Is A Hook Really Needed = Killa Sha w/ Foul Monday and Jo Jo Pellegrino 13) Sneaky Uncle = Killa Sha 14) Turn Me Up Some (Remix) = Killa Sha w/ Busta Rhymes 15) Our Love = Killa Sha 16) Show Wrap Up

Lookin at my gucci it's about that time. Time for another classic episode of the realest hip hop radio show out there, "Rhyme Tyme" with DJ Peter Parker. Episode 94 (4/13/07)
Coming off a record breaking show last week courtesy of Doctor Dre, you know I had to reach into my bag of tricks once again. Joining me this week is resident deejay Ras Beats aka Rhyme Tyme Ras for his monthly turntable exhibition. The combination is ill. With Ras on the 1's and 2's cuttin up all the dope underground wax and myself on the 3's and 4's supplying those exclusives, you can't ask for more. So turn that volume up to 10, get your drink or smoke, and enjoy hip hop radio the way it should be. Don't forget to tell a friend to tell a friend. It's Rhyme Tyme!!! 1) Rhyme Tyme Theme Song = P-Dap 2) Show Intro 3) The Money (orig/madlib remix) = J Dilla 4) Reachin = Polyrhythm Addicts 5) Things You Do = Evidence 6) Straight Murder = Prodigy w/ 50 Cent 7) Body Bags = Game 8) Rock Me = Capital D (of All Natural) 9) You Call That Love = J-Ro (of Alkaholiks) w/ Chords 10) We Ain?t Runnin = Sheek Louch 11) The Movement = Jax (of Binkis) 12) War = Marco Polo ft Kardinal Offishall 13) Block Royal = Joel Ortiz 14) How Big Is Your World = Median 15) Jones In Ya Bones = Butta Verses w/ Lucien 16) Stick Em Up = Big City w/ Greg Nice 17) Show Wrap Up

Episode 93 (3/30/07)
This week we're taking a trip back in time to 1986 courtesy of Dr. Dre who at the time was in the World Class Wreckin Cru. This is from the historic Roadium Mixtape series which was sold exclusively at the L.A. swap meats. Entitled "86 In The Mix", Dr. Dre takes mixtapes to the next level incorporating multitrack recorders and other high end recording equipment. At times you can hear 3 or 4 records being mixed at the same time all while Dre is scratchin on top of em. He burns through literally 300 records or more so a tracklist is non existent. If anyone can compile a tracklist I will personally big them up as the "king of hip hop". Much props to Dr. Dre for creating such a masterpiece. If you didn't know now you know. This could be one of the illest mixtapes ever!!!

Episode 66 (1/1/06) "The Wu Years Show" Throwback
Just wanted to clarify that "Rhyme Tyme" is broadcasting new shows on a bi weekly basis until May/June. Contractual obligations have my hands tied and my time filled. Then it's back to the normal weekly routine. And I can't wait. This slowed down pace is driving me nuts. Since this is an off week I decided to hit you with one of the illest of all the Rhyme Tyme episodes. This is the infamous "Wu Years Show" that broadcasted New Year's Eve 2006. I dug deep in the crates and spun nothing but the illest and rarest Wu-Tang records I could find. Also this is the historic first appearance where Trife Da God, Kryme Life, and Tommy Whispers air it out for nearly 15 minutes over the "Murdergram" Instrumental. Did someone say hip hop is dead? Certainly isn't in The Spider's Web. It stays poppin over here! Thanks for listening. 1) Rhyme Tyme Theme Song = P-Dap 2) Show Intro 3) Pass The Bone = Genius 4) Drug Free = Deadly Venoms w/ Ol Dirty Bastard 5) Cobra Clutch = Ghostface Killah 6) Set It Off Freestyle = Ghostface Killah & Trife Da God 7) Run (unreleased version) = Raekwon 8) Run = Cappadonna 9) Mic Break #1 / Interview = Trife Da God 10) Put It On The Line = Trife Da God 11) Fire = Ghostface Killah & Trife Da God 12) Mic Break #2 / Freestyle = Trife Da God, Kryme Life, & Tommy Whispers 13) Don?t U Know Pt. 2 = Ol Dirty Bastard 14) Mr. Sandman = Method Man w/ RZA, Inspectah Deck, Street Life, and Carlton Fisk 15) Fear, Love, And War = Killarmy 16) Labels (rza remix) = Genius 17) Show Wrap Up

Things are heatin up over at The Spider's Web Studios. This week joinin me up in the lab is none other than Trife Da God. Most of y'all should already be familiar with his work with Ghostface and Theodore Unit but if you're not pay close attention. This guy is one of the most talented MC's out there, period. If you don't believe me just peep the 9 minute freestyle he kicked over some classic Wu-Tang/Mobb Deep instrumentals and see for yourself.
