This is an assault against women and women's rights. It has been reported that over 300,000 woman have reported being raped last year. Only 39 percent of rapes and sexual assault are reported. By enacting this legislation in direct conflict with the Supreme Court's Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion in 1973. This is about a woman's right to self-determination.

The ADF is a huge sponsor of Rush Limbaugh and spends millions to make sure that Liberal viewpoints like that of Ed Schultz are not heard by our troops. Why, and how can the DOD allow this to go on with our tax dollars? Where is the separation of church and state?

Riding a rollercoaster is really just symbolic. What I'm really talking about is letting go in life, taking chances. Most woman who choose to work inside the home as a mother give up thier income, their name, and their ability to move about freely. Without an income they are at the mercy of their partner. Women stay in bad situations because they have no choices, powerless without money. Nationwide, worldwide women stay in dangerous situations. 50% of all homeless women and children in the US are there because of violence in the home.

Carved in stone are the rights of MEN. There is no mention of Women, no mention of people only Men. All PEOPLE are created equal and all people are entitled to be fairly represented. As we watch the process of the Supreme Court nomination circus we all have to consider these questions.

This situation is desperate. It's been 5 days and 50,000 people are still stranded on rooftops starving. Thousands are dying of thirst in waist deep water. People are literally dying where they sit waiting for this government to help them, but where is our government? These are working people, taxpayers, just like you and me, and they need HELP desperately! Why has it taken this government 5 days to get to Louisiana? We can get aid halfway across the world over-night. We need more than creative thinking on this one, we need ACTION!

One day, a snowy day I had this revelation of thought, I wasn't paying attention because I had so much on my mind and I crashed into the car in front of me. I get out of the car and I say to this old man "Im so sorry" and this old man says to me "Don't Be in Such A Hurry, I'm Worried About You - Slow Down, Don't Be in Such a Rush!". And the guy says forget it.

Global Connections #100 Monday, August 29, 2005
We connect in a multitude of ways but connecting as a global people is a lot harder to do. It has to be personal, there has to be some familiarity or it's hard to make the connection. I think that's why some of these major religions are floundering. They don't make it personal because it's very difficult to connect to something that worked 2000 years ago.
