Industrial Radio Podcast Episodes - | .041 Spotlight on Skulk:Partition[Root] | When I first received the CD Plugged from Dalton
of Skulk Partion Root I couldnt stop listening to it. We played a few
tracks on the last show, but I had a hard time selecting them. I wanted
to play tracks that would give the listener an idea of what they are
all about, but the sound is just so dynimac, you really need to listen
to the whole CD to really appreciate it.
This is the show I should have done 6 months ago, all the tracks I wanted to play, a short interview, and a video!
I hope you enjoy it.
Jon: Other than whatâs in the bio on your
site, anything else your want the world to
know?
Dalton: First of all we'd like to thank
you Jon, for the interview and playing our songs in your show, it's really
amazing.
Well, we're glad to be part of
this band, we use it as a scape valve to express our deepest feelings and
experiences. Machines are awesome on this process, they never forget, they
are good listeners and they make possible everything we
want.
Jon: Plugged was not originally released
as a free download, what made you decide to make it a free
download?
We made it free one year later
from it's release. The scenario for independent bands is hard. If you don't have
a big label helping you, it's hard to get popular. We just figured out we could
reach more people making it free and downloadable (http://www.skulk.com.br/SkulkPartitionRoot-Plugged.zip).
Even this way we still sell CDs via internet, shows and some stores here in
Brazil and some countries on Europe. People who really enjoy the band wants the
CD.
Jon: What are you working on now?
Dalton: Right now we are working to
spread our first videoclip, released last august. Recently we got it available
on the Brazilian's MTV website, MTV Overdrive. It's a simple video but we are
very happy with the final result, our thanks to Jorge Takan, the
director.
Besides
we're testing some new sounds, more
powerfull synths, new softwares, etc. There is nothing concrete, there are few
ideas emerging for a new work.
Jon: What and when can we expect
some more?
Dalton: It's really hard to predict it!
We're on a creative process, so we don't really know how long would it take.
This year we released a "new"
work, a cover for Cyndi Lauper's Shebop song (availabe at http://www.myspace.com/skulkpartitionroot).
I said "new" in double brackets because we play this song from a long time on
the show. This cover should be part of Plugged, but we decided to not put it on
the CD for copyright reasons.

| Adaptor - Chunk | Played on Industrial Radio Podcast #003http://industrialradio.orgAdaptorAdaptor is a little something I do on the side to play the music that I am most passionate about. My brother does some vox on occasion. I do all the guitar, synth and programming that you hear. I always wanted to start an industrial band, but it is hard to find other musicians interested in going that route, that is why I decided to just start doing Adaptor on my own.Membersjosh : EverythingArtist URLhttp://www.garageband.com/artist/adaptorSounds Like 16 Volt, Ministry, Chemlab, Nine Inch Nails, BileInfluenced By Chemlab, Acumen Nation, KMFDM, Nirvana, Nine Inch Nails | Get at Short URL | Download Adaptor - Chunk | Play in Popup.

| PAIL_ - Binary Coda | Played on Industrial Radio Podcast #002http://industrialradio.org_PAIL Genre: Industrial (Industrial/Rock)Hometown: Austin, TexasPAIL: Not Just for Breakfast Anymore The Crunchy Taste of New Wave Disco-Death-Rock PAILâs latest retail release, Story of a SpaceMonkey, is an epic, grand, and absorbing tale of a space-born virus and its effects on a mythological world. The PAIL line-up of Benjamin Morgan (x-Inhabit), Brad Schmerbeck, Mike Titsworth, and Rachel Titsworth takes listeners on a journey that is laced with thoughtful lyrics, crushing instrumentation, and vivid imagery. Their newest album shines as an example of what home recording can and should be. The music is enjoyably addictive and has been referred to as âthe new wave of disco-death-rockâ?, and the live experience is overwhelming and sure to please. How the Bucket Began, and What itâs Dished Out From the ashes of hardcore thrash pioneers Angkor Wat (Metal Blade Records), two bands emerged: PAIL and Skrew. PAIL has taken a non-commercial route for most of its 14-year history. Energy has been put into writing, music production, and an underground marketing campaign; nearly 10,000 free recordings have been distributed across Texas. PAIL has also created six videos that have been in regular rotation on the Austin Music Network for the last ten years. In 2000, the Mindscar video was included on the Reel Austin DVD, a compilation of viewer favorites. Whatâs on the Dinner Menu? PAIL has always been about the creative process, the interaction between artists, and the lasting friendships that it has produced. The focus is the journey, not necessarily the destination. With the release of the new album, PAILâs sense of urgency has accelerated, and is heading straight for the best live music venues in Texas. PAIL is: Benjamin Morgan â Guitar/B. | Black Snake Moan - Obsidian | Played on Industrial Radio Podcast #002http://industrialradio.orgBlack Snake Moan Genre: Industrial (Industrial)Hometown: San Francisco, CaliforniaLike a cotton mouth viper crawlinâ up yerâ leg. Like the satisfying gurgle of Leon Redbone drowning in the depths of a Louisiana swamp, Black Snake Moan ressurrects all those secret, disturbing dreams you always feared someone would discover. Black Snake Moanâs murky brew combines rich strains of deep southern blues with the textural assault of 21st century industrial rock. Lyrically, singer/songwriter Paige Lawrence explores themes of pain, despair, acceptance and release with the honesty of an ill-tempered stepchild. First bottled in Berkeley, California in the virgin months of 1998, Black Snake Moan descended on the S.F. bay area with the gritty industrial tractor âRattle in the Sandâ? and has developed a strong local following since. See them live, Dress code: Johnny Cash black, mood accelerator: Ether, 1864 vintage. Zero is one of Louisville Ky's industrial rock bands. Reformed in the
end of June 2004 by Justin Hall and Tim Kiefer, then in late 2004
brought in Matt "Lusiphur" True to play keyboards shortly followed by
Kimberly Miller on vocals....By blending heavy guitars with
powerful vocals and adding a full force barage of synth sounds to keep
your ears busy, then adding heart pounding drums on top they round out
their sound to create something that only sounds like Artificial Zero.Members[artificialzero] Justin Hall: Drums (Programing),Tim Kiefer: Lead Guitar,Kimberly Miller: Lead Vocals,Matt Lusiphur True: KeyboardsArtist URLhttp://www.artificialzero.comSounds Like Evanescence, Nine Inch Nails, Tool, Staind, White ZombieInfluenced By Phil Collins, Ministry, Nine Inch Nails, Staind, TooBrought to you by:Industrial Radio Podcasthttp://industrialradio.org | Get at Short URL | Download Artificial Zero - The Hate | Play in Popup.
