Three rabid Eagles fans season ticket holders past and present. We get together each week and talk about our favorite pro football team in typical midnight green and silver style. Each has our own perspective on being a fan.

Eric and Chuck live in South Jersey and have season tickets together, and Todd now lives in L.A. We talk about the normal ups and downs, being a fan wherever you are, traveling to games, tailgating, being there, being away, the players, the atmosphere, the coaches and, of course, that dream.

EaglesFanCast 69 - A Giant Win
The Philadelphia Eagles bounce back from two disappointing showings to trounce the New York Giants 40-17 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.  The Eagles jumped out early, executed a very effective Offense, harassed the Giants weapons, and never looked back as they soared to the top of the NFC East.  We break down what we saw, and listen to other fans talk in emails and a voicemail. What we discussed: Eagles win by 23 over the Giants and move to the top of the NFC EastIt was complete domination from the beginning of the gameThe Offense ran the ball a lot more, despite not having RB Brian Westbrook in the lineupVoicemail from Brian in Panama City, FLCoaching, QB Donovan McNabb, playcallingâ everything was ready for this Giants teamThe Dallas Cowboys are coming to town and it cannot be a bigger game at this point in the seasonEmail from Aussie MikeEmail from AlexAre we a new team, or do we still have the remnants of the Raiders game to worry about?Email from Dennis in Gettysburg, PAWe talk about Green Fans: the Movie which will be coming out this month. EaglesFanCast 68 - Eagles Offensive Woes
The Philadelphia Eagles come off a win against the Washington ForeRedskins 27-17 on Monday Night Football, and we couldnât be moreâ apathetic.  The Eagles Offense was disappointing, and the team did not play up to the caliber that we expected after the embarrassing loss to the Raiders last week.  What makes matters worse is RB Brian Westbrook went down with a concussion and might miss the next game.  Donovan McNabb was off again, the wildcat has mange, and the Eagles next play NFC East Division rivals, the New York Giants. If coach Andy Reid does not fix what is wrong, and quick, then the remainder of the 2009 season is going to be a very long one. What we discussed: Eagles win on Monday Night Football, 27-17 over the Washington RedskinsIt was an unimpressive game except for a few standout playsBrian Westbrook suffered a concussion in the game, and may not be able to play against the GiantsWe talk DeSean Jacksonâs speed, Will Witherspoonâs play and Donovan McNabbâs troublesEmail from EvanTodd calls a Loss for this game against the GiantsEmail from Dennis in GettysburgEmail from Dr. KrugWe chat about Michael Vick and where the âwildcatâ is with this team Get in touch with us: Email: fans [at] EaglesFanCast.net Voicemail Line: (856) 335-3675 Follow on twitter: twitter.com/EaglesFanCast Facebook: EaglesFanCast Fan Page MySpace: EaglesFanCast Visit our site at http://EaglesFanCast.net

EaglesFanCast 67 - Raiders Of The Lost Cause
The Philadelphia Eagles lose to the horrible Oakland Raiders in a game that pretty much everyone thought was a lock for a Win.  Almost every aspect of the team contributed to the embarrassment, from coaching, playcalling, tackling, passing, blocking and kicking.  We try to express some of what transpired since the game, what went wrong, and our concerns for the future.  Joining us this week is Cody Benjamin, from the Eagles fan blog, Bleed Green. What we discussed: Cody from Bleed Green joins us, and we ask him about his siteWho is to blame for this horrible loss? It might be easier to say who is notAndy Reid shoulders the blame for this lossâ no adjustments, and he was completely outcoachedEagles trade with Rams at the deadline, picked up LB Will Witherspoon and sent them rookie WR Brandon GibsonDonovan McNabb was under pressure all game, and he was too jumpy as a resultStacy Andrews still looking tender, and may not be 100% for a while yetemail from Evanemail from Aussie Steveemail saying farewell to Trotteremail from Dr. Krug in GettysburgWe are angry about this loss, and why?We touch on what to be nervous about moving forward The Lost Cause Contact Details: Email: fans [at] EaglesFanCast.net Voicemail Line: (856) 335-3675 Follow on twitter: twitter.com/EaglesFanCast Facebook: EaglesFanCast Fan Page MySpace: EaglesFanCast Visit our site at http://EaglesFanCast.net

EaglesFanCast 66 - Welcome Back McNabb
The Philadelphia Eagles take apart the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 33-14 in Philadelphia this week.  Quarterback Donovan McNabb returns from his rib injury, Jeremiah Trotter returns to the team, and Jeremy Maclin has a phenomenal game playing for the injured Kevin Curtis.  The win wasnât without some negativity, but the Offense put together a solid game and helped Head Coach Andy Reid move to 11-0 after the BYE week. What we discussed: Eagles beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 33-14, but although satisfying, it wasnât fun to watch throughoutThe game was frustrating because of the amount of penalties, poor officiating and just how bad Tampa Bay isWe talk about the play of McNabb, Westbrook, Maclin, Celek and moreAndy Reidâs rumored contract extension, and he is now 11-0 after the BYEEmail from Aussie SteveEmail from AlexSteve from the UK put together 10 years of stats in a spreadsheet and has been analyzing the hell out of it showing how much Eagles fans love their football We tried something new this week, as we incorporated a live chat during the show recording.  We wanted to get a live chat going so people could interact and participate while we record.  Then we realized that it would make more sense if you could hear what we were talking about.  So we configured a channel over at ustream.  We tested it out, and it was a success, and we had a bunch of people in the chat room checking out the scene and we only let people know a few minutes beforehand!  Awesome time, thanks to everyone who came and visited. EaglesFanCast 64 - Welcome Back Trotter
The Philadelphia Eagles put together another impressive Offensive effort in beating the Kansas City Chiefs 34-14.  Granted it was the Chiefs, but we were able to see a confident Kevin Kolb come out and run the Offense and effectively move the ball and make very few mistakes.  It also marked the return of Michael Vick to the NFL where his role this week was more of a decoy than the much-hyped wildcat offense has led us to expect.  Also big news today was the signing of former Eagle linebacker Jeremiah Trotter, who left the team, lobbied to come back, then was cut in 2007.  This Eagles organization is anything but boring since the Summer. What we discussed: Todd came to Philly and he gives his impressions of the updated tailgateEagles win big over the lousy Kansas City ChiefsKevin Kolb named NFC Player of the Week, and sets an NFL record for the first Quarterback to ever throw for over 300 yards in each of his first two startsThe young players stepped up and played great (McCoy, Kolb, Jackson)Michael Vick makes his first regular season appearance since 2006Eagles signed LB Jeremiah Trotter and released Jeff GarciaWhat does the Trotter signing really mean to this Defense?Email from Dan in EnglandVoicemail from "Cowboy"  LOLEmail from Pat in PA, posing a very interesting scenarioEmail from Dennis in Gettysburg, PARandall Cunningham (QB; 1985-1995) and Al Wistert (T; 1943-1951) both inducted into the Philadelphia Eagles Honor Roll at HalftimeEmail from Holden Welcome back: Email: fans [at] EaglesFanCast.net Voicemail Line: (856) 335-3675 Follow on twitter: twitter.com/EaglesFanCast Facebook: EaglesFanCast Fan Page MySpace: EaglesFanCast

EaglesFanCast 63 - Kolb's Debut
This weekâs Philadelphia Eagles game was a big one.  It was quarterback Kevin Kolbâs debut as a starter, filling in for the injured Donovan McNabb.  It was the home opener.  It was against a very tough NFC opponent in the New Orleans Saints.  Well the Eagles rebounded off a great performance against the Panthers last week, and underachieved, made mistakes, and took themselves out of a game.  We chat about how Kolb looked out there, what went wrong with the team to lose in such an embarrassing way, the wildcat offense, and field some emails from listeners that have concerns. What we discussed: Eagles lose to Saints 48-22Kevin Kolb impressed, and we feel he finally earned his spot on the rosterSpecial Teams was just horrendousIs Andy Reid losing control of the team? The wildcat offense was used a lot in this game, is this the new Eagles Offense?Brent Celek had a big game with 101 yardsEmail from DennisEmail from HoldenEmail from AlexWe talk about the Kansas City Chiefs game this coming week Now itâs time for your debut: Email: fans [at] EaglesFanCast.net Voicemail Line: (856) 335-3675 Follow on twitter: twitter.com/EaglesFanCast Facebook: EFC Fan Page MySpace: EaglesFanCast

EaglesFanCast 62 - Panther Smackdown
The Philadelphia Eagles crush the Carolina Panthers 38-10 in a bittersweet win as we also lose our quarterback Donovan McNabb to a broken rib on a late touchdown run.  The Eagles make a lot of moves with some familiar names in the last day in response to McNabbâs injury. Jeff Garcia returns to the Birds, Michael Vick is activated so he can start practicing, and to make room, Guard Shawn Andrews is placed on the IR and Wide Receiver Hank Baskett is cut. An overwhelming news day, and we bring it all to you in typical Green style. EaglesFanCast 60 - Preseason Continues
The Eagles win their first preseason game, and Michael Vick debuts in Eagles green on the field. Most fans at The Linc give him a standing ovation as he trotted out on the field and the stage is set for a very interesting season. Itâs tough to watch and talk about the preseason games, because you donât know what will make it to the regular season, from players, to strategy, to expectations. Most of this weekâs show focuses on Quarterbacks and Defense. EaglesFanCast 59 - Big Fan Interview
A slight divergence from the normal EaglesFanCast podcast you all have come to expect.  Hope you donât mind! We had the opportunity to have a chat with Robert Siegel, the Writer and Director of the new movie Big Fan, which will be hitting theaters in limited release only in New York and Philadelphia on Friday, August 29th.   In Philadelphia it will be playing at the Landmark Ritz at the Bourse, definitely go see it.  Check the movie website for more cities and release dates. Eric and I had a good time talking with Robert and learned more about this drama, his take on the characters, and how a New York sports bar was transformed into a Philly sports bar.   Listen in, and if you go to see it, please let us know what you think! Find out more about Big Fan at the movieâs  official website. We will be back again next week and talk about Michael Vickâs game debut for the Eagles after he plays in the preseason Jacksonville Jaguars game in Philly.  Since he and Donovan McNabb are slated to play the first three quarters, we wonât have to wait for the regular season to find out how Coach Andy Reid plans to utilize Vickâs talents in our Offense. EaglesFanCast 57 - RIP Jim Johnson
We've taken a few months off, and it was a slow Eagles news time anyway, but we are back. Unfortunately, we record this episode with heavy hearts, as long-time Eagles Defensive Coordinator, Jim Johnson, passed away today.  He had been battling cancer for a while, and was 68.  We will never forget what he did for the players, coaches and fans of this organization, and we wish his family all the best during this very hard time. The Philadelphia Eagles website has an amazing tribute to the best Defensive Coordinator the organization, and perhaps the NFL, has ever had. What we talked about: We remember Jim Johnson, who passed away today.Sean McDermott, the new Eagles Defensive Coordinator named last week, is young and has to gain the respect of the playersWR Jeremy Maclin has not signed yet, but there are no worriesTraining Camp talk: Brian Westbrook looks great, Stacy Andrews is a monster, Shawn Andrews looks like his old self, and Donovan McNabb is having funEagles Flight Night is this Sunday - Chuck and Eric will be going, so say hiWe talk a little Phillies... we can't help it, it's a Philly thingEmail from Phil - he has the same thing most Eagles fans are feeling right now: is excited, but has reservations One last thing, web aficionado and all-around good guy, Drew Olanoff, was diagnosed with cancer a few months ago. Not one to sit back and do nothing, he turned his passion for life and the web on the cancer itself. If you are on twitter, chances are you have seen people blame Drew's cancer  for many things in their own lives.  Drew's created the "Blame Drew's Cancer" movement where  he has partnered with Livestrong, and hopes to get sponsors to donate a dollar for every time someone blames Drew's cancer for something.  If you're on twitter, go ahead. EaglesFanCast 53 - Eagles Offseason Yawns
Wow the Philadelphia Eagles offseason seems long this year, doesnât it? A bunch of heartfelt losses and nothing exciting on the signing front (with no offense meant to Stacy Andrews or the others). The Eagles did sign fullback Leonard Weaver, which fills a big hole on Offense and definitely helps the running game on a few levels. Other than that itâs been rumors, speculation and a few low-impact signings. This show, our friend Jason from Bleeding Green Nation stops in to chat with us about whatâs been going on with the Eagles for the last few weeks. We also hit on various players and address a few rumors about some big profile players. EaglesFanCast 52 - What's The Plan?
Free Agency has started, and so far the Eagles have lost an enormous amount more than they have gained... at least that is the way it appears to Eagles fans. Losing both Brian Dawkins and Correll Buckhalter, as well as the eventual loss of Jon Runyan due to Stacy Andrews' signing, has left fans with a very bad taste in our mouths.  It's painful to see 13-year veteran Dawkins go to another team, despite knowing what a ridiculously-sweet deal they gave him.  Plus we have seen so many other teams be very aggressive in free agency, including division rival New York Giants, and seemingly get better in the process. We're left wondering what plans the Eagles organization has, and how they plan to fill the many holes that this team now has. What we discussed: Free agency has startedWe lost Dawkins, Buckhalter, Considine and soon LJ Smith and Tra ThomasLito Sheppard was tradedBrian Dawkins received an offer from Denver that the Eagles wouldn't even think about offering himThe new NFL is all about business, and fans' attachments to players hurts when they are inevitably traded or releasedTJ Houshmandzadeh apparently asked for more money from the Eagles than other teamsDennis from Gettysburg asks us about Boldin and GonzalesEagles sign Stacy Andrews, who does have a knee injury concernEagles rumors have involved a ton of wide receivers, but we have signed noneWhat is the Eagles plan? The waiting game is tough The offseason is here, and so are we: Email: fans [at] EaglesFanCast.net Voicemail Line: 1(856)335-3675 Follow on twitter: twitter.com/EaglesFanCast Facebook: EFC Fan Page MySpace: EaglesFanCast

EaglesFanCast 51 - Offseason Begins
We are a couple of weeks past the Philadelphia Eagles loss to the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC Championship, and the Super Bowl is over.  The offseason has begun, and hype has already started.  Nothing major has happened yet, but Bengals free agent wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh has been making the rounds marketing himself. He was interviewed by 950 ESPNâs Mike Missanelli on Wednesday, where T.J. told how he would like to catch for McNabb, admires Andy Reidâs playcalling, and says Eagles fans are too critical.  We have all that, plus touch on our offseason needs, some more disappointment in how the season ended and more great emails from listeners. What we discussed: Three players added to the roster: DT Amon Gordon, LB Charleston Hughes and S Byron ParkerEagles QB Coach Pat Shurmer leaves, and there are other minor coaching movesSuper Bowl talk - plain and simple, the Steelers had a lot of time left on the clock, because of their QBWe touch a bit, again, on McNabb as a clutch quarterbackEmail from Aussie MikeEmail from Ben in ChicagoDefense talk as well as champion quarterbacks950 ESPN radioâs Mike Missanelli interviewed Bengals wide receiver, and free agent, T.J. EaglesFanCast 50 - Heartbreak
The Philadelphia Eagles come up short in a big way and lose to the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC Championship.  After a dismal first half where the Cardinals put up 24 points to the Eagles six, they fight back, scoring 19 unanswered points in the second half and actually take the lead in the fourth quarter.  Unfortunately that appeared to be all that was left in the tank, and Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner led his team down the field and scored a touchdown and added a two-point conversion to lead 32-25 with just under three minutes to go.  The Eagles Offense sputtered and died on the Cardinals side of the field, as well as their chances at another Super Bowl shot. What we discussed: Eagles lose the NFC Championship game, and are now 1-4 in that game under Andy Reid Chuck calls for Reid to leave Eric calls out Donovan McNabb and Brian Dawkins for having horrendous games Todd, like all of us, is heartbroken, calls McNabb a great player, but heâs not a champion All aspects of the team were flat in the first half Kicker David Akers was off with a missed field goal, missed extra point and a kickoff out of bounds The Defense tackling game was one of the worst we have seen this season Email from Alex (first of two halves from Alex) Email from Hollis Thanks to Aussie Mike for the AFL official football he sent us! EaglesFanCast 48 - Viking Stomp
The Philadelphia Eagles defeat the Minnesota Vikings in the opening weekend of the playoffs, 26-14. Our Eagles traveled to the Metrodome for the NFC Wild Card game on Sunday and handled Adrian Peterson, the Vikings Defense, and the very loud dome fans, emerging victorious. Next up, the Eagles head up the New Jersey Turnpike this Sunday to face their NFC East Division rivals, and defending Super Bowl Champions, New York Giants. We lay it all out there with how the surging Eagles team needs to handle the struggling Giants at the Meadowlands in front of another hostile crowd. EaglesFanCast 47 - A Christmas Miracle
Show Notes: Episode 47 for December 30th, 2008 Playoffs!?!? Thatâs right, the Philadelphia Eagles clinched the last NFC Wildcard spot by defeating, nay, crushing the Dallas Cowboys 44-6 at Lincoln Financial Field. In front of a frenzied crowd in South Philly, the Eagles took care of things in dominating fashion on both sides of the ball. Our Offense played tight, and our Defense caused five turnovers, two of which were returned for spectacular touchdowns. They didnât let the Cowboys breathe the whole game, and embarrassed the team that most thought would easily take the NFC East this season. Instead the Cowboys flew back to Texas, and the Eagles are on their way to Minnesota to take on the Vikings in the NFC Wildcard Game. What we discussed: Eagles are in the Playoffs!Eric and Chuck sold their tickets to the game, and feel like idiotsAndy Reid looked relaxed, happy and definitely appeared he knew something the Cowboys didnâtBrian Dawkins was an animal and played out of his mindEmail from Alex, who called us out on last weekâs showIs it hard for teams to now prepare for our schizophrenic Offensive Scheme this season?Andy Reidâs game plan definitely dictates the outcome of the game; if itâs good, the team is great, if bad, he canât adjust and the team looks horribleWe were all big Oakland Raiders fans this weekPennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell talked about the tie against Cincinnati and how Reidâs controversial call in that game actually saved our playoff hopesEmail from Aussie Eagle, who talks about how this game saved Reid for the team, which ultimately heâs not happy aboutEric is certain about the Eagles victory in Minnesota this weekWe trash the Cowboys some moreEmail from Phil in England, who praises the Eagles win, and wonders which team will show up against the VikingsEmail from Corey in Baltimore, with renewed enthusiasmAussie Mike writes in about the game, and us visiting Australia, which we would love to doWhat we are doing this week for the Eagles-Vikings gameGreat email from Thomas in El Paso, TexasEmail from Stephen in Melbourne, Australia who talks about the Sav Rocca Effect for Aussie Eagles fans, and Reidâs hopeful New Yearâs Resolution: RUN THE BALLEmail from Jimmy Craichead in Philly, who found his youthful optimism and put Scrooge to sleepAn article on Monday by Minneapolis CBS Affiliate WCCO talked about how there were 20,000 seats still available for the Eagles-Vikings game, and the team is srambling to sell tickets so it is not locally blocked outâ itâs unbelievable to usJerry Jones says Wade Philips is still the coach moving forward, and we wholeheartedly applaud his decision, and hope Wade stays for years to come Thanks! â to Thomas in Texas for this weekâs Title suggestionâ to Fred for the customized new Cowboys Stadium paver image (anyone want to chip in?)â to all of you for making all of this worth it. EaglesFanCast 46 - The Blame Game
Show Notes: Episode 46 for December 23rd, 2008 The Philadelphia Eagles lose to the Washington Redskins 10-3.  Despite the Playoff hopes increasing dramatically in a few of the other NFL games, this loss essentially knocks the Eagles out of contention.  The Eagles Offense failed to score a touchdown on a horrible outing plagued with inaccurate passing, dropped balls, unbalanced play calling and poor clock management.  After seeing three impressive wins, the Eagles fans have now turned against Head Coach Andy Reid with renewed vigor, and concensus is that his tenure in Philadelphia should come to an end. What we discussed: The Eagles loss to the Redskins is especially painful after two gifts in other games (Cowboys loss to Baltimore and the Buccaneers loss to the Chargers)The blame game is back in full effect after that horrendous display on OffenseSome blame Donovan McNabb for his bad passing but most blame Andy ReidEmail from Holden in Louisiana blaming ReidEmail from Mitch in San Francisco with even more Reid impatienceWhat scenarios have to happen for the Eagles to make it into the playoffsEmail from Jason, talking clock management, Desean Jackson drops and play calling woesWe touch on the heartache of what this team has doneEmail from Buz in South Jersey, who talks about many questions of âWhy?âThird down yardage contributed to the Offense struggles again this weekVoicemail from Jimmy Craichead in Philly, talking about how Reid must go and how far back his Philly team woes goEmail from Stephen in Melbourne, Australia Find us at these exciting locations: Email: fans [at] EaglesFanCast.net Voicemail Line: 1(856)335-3675 Visit our main website at http://www.EaglesFanCast.net

EaglesFanCast 45 - Take Care Of Business
Show Notes: Episode 45 for Tuesday, December 16, 2008 The Philadelphia Eagles win their third game in a row, defeating the Cleveland Browns 30-10 in Philadelphia on Monday Night Football.  With the warm December temperatures and late rains moving in, the Eagles finished off with Kevin Kolb at quarterback, but for a different reason this time.  Donovan McNabb had 290 yards passing and two touchdowns, and Coach Andy Reid decided to protect his starting QB.  Despite some mishaps in the game, the Eagles looked solid and defeated the struggling Browns like they should have.  Now with two games left in the season and a playoff spot on the line, the Eagles need to win their last two games of the season against the Washington Redskins and the Dallas Cowboys.  Besides that, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers or the Atlanta Falcons have to lose a game.  The momentum is definitely on the green side, as the team has gelled into an efficient Offense and dominating Defense.  Our playoffs have already arrived in Philadelphia. What we discussed: Monday Night Football at Lincoln Financial Field Some Fantasy Football talk as both Eric and Todd are in their respective playoffs Brian Dawkins sets a franchise record with 181 games playedâ we so wished he had made an interception to set that record as well The Browns coaches seemed to try to keep their QB Dorsey from passing the ball Both Brian Dawkins and Asante Samuel have made it to the Pro Bowl We have an email from Aussie Mike We go into the last two weeks of the season, and talk about what the Eagles need to do, and what other teams need to do for us to hit that playoff spot Voicemail from Paul out of Caffination Stewart Bradley is definitely impressing us this season The Andy Reid controversy continues Eric feels the Cowboys game might be moved up to at least a 4:00 game with how much weight it may have Kolb as the new franchise, or bust?  We briefly touch on it Time to tell us what you think: Email: fans [at] EaglesFanCast.net Voicemail Line: 1(856)335-3675 Follow EFC on twitter: twitter.com/EaglesFanCast Visit our main website at http://www.EaglesFanCast.net

EaglesFanCast 44 - The Westbrook Show
Show Notes: Episode 44 for Tuesday, December 9, 2008 The Philadelphia Eagles march up the New Jersey Turnpike, then Brian Westbrook marches all over the New York Giants.  The men in Green take their new confidence and beat the Giants 20-14 in a game where our running game ruled and Eli Manningâs passes were dropped.  Despite the win, we try to find optimism as this was the Eagles dominant team that should be in the playoffs, not struggling (and hoping) to make a Wildcard spot. What we discussed: Brian Westbrook lit up the Giants, again, with 203 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns B West looked amazing and Eric has a lt of stats to back it We arenât as excited as we normally should be, and we discuss why The confidence in Andy Reid still is not there, as weâre not sure how he will handle the game plans for the remaining games Email from Alex, who was psyched about the Eagles big win over the Giants Email from Steve, who caught the game at the airport There were three blocked Field Goals in this game, one returned for a Giants TD Contest Winners announced for the DirecTV Eagles-branded remote controlsâ congrats to both Dave from California and Steve from San Francisco!! EaglesFanCast 43 - A Glimmer Of Hope
We found out about this after we recorded our show, but we want to send out big congratulations to Donovan McNabb and his wife Racquel on the birth of their twins, a boy and a girl.  This news comes thanks to Bleeding Green Nation. All our best goes out to Donovan and his family. Show Notes: Episode 43 for Tuesday, December 2, 2008 We have a really good show this week as we enjoy leftover turkey and a great Eagles win in Philly over the Arizona Cardinals.  The Offense lit up the night at Lincoln Financial Field to the massive cheers of all in attendance.  Andy Reid went against his own game plans of late and went for a balanced Offense attack.  Our QB Donovan McNabb, as well as RB Brian Westbrook, looked great and controlled their drives the whole game and totaled six touchdowns.  The Defense also continued to do very well.  In all, despite recent games, there were very few negatives taken away from this game.  Also on this show, we talk to author Jeff Fekete, an Eagles fan whoâs book titled Making the Big Game - Tales of an Accidental Spectator will be coming out next month.  Weâre also having a contest where we are giving away two Eagles logo DirecTV remote controls! What we discussed: Philadelphia Eagles beat the Arizona Cardinals at The Linc 48-20The balanced Offense looked amazing, relaxed and efficientMax Jean-Gilles fractured his ankle and is now out for the season, and rehabilitation could take up to nine monthsBrian Dawkins had an interception which tied the franchise recordâ can you say âHall of Fame?âEmail from Susan, who was happy she was wrong about Reid and McNabbEric and Chuck talk to Jeff Fekete about his upcoming book, Making the Big GameContest announcement for a DirecTV Eagles remote control, details on our main siteWe talk about the New York Giants game this SundayGiants WR Plaxico Burress shoots himself in the leg, is suspended by the Giants, and might go to jail Links: Making the Big Game siteAuthor Jeff Feketeâs twitter link Here is our contact info, but donât spread it around, we donât want to get too big: Email: fans [at] EaglesFanCast.net Voicemail Line: 1(856)335-3675 Follow EFC on twitter: twitter.com/EaglesFanCast

EaglesFanCast 42 - Dark Times
Show Notes: Episode 42 for Tuesday, November 25, 2008 The Philadelphia Eagles lose in bad fashion to the Baltimore Ravens, 36-7 in Baltimore. The only Eagles touchdown came on a kickoff return by Quintin Demps, going 100 yards. Quarterback Donovan McNabb continued to struggle and turned the ball over three times and was inaccurate again, going 8 for 18 for 59 yards at the Half. In a controversial move in both decision and execution, Head Coach Andy Reid benched McNabb and put in 2nd year QB Kevin Kolb. Kolb also struggled against a stellar secondary and threw two interceptions of his own. On the day, the Eagles quarterbacks had a combined 12.5 Quarterback Rating. Again the focus after the game was Andy Reidâs coaching, preparation and play calling, and it has reached a fevered pitch among Eagles fans. Most are calling for a change in the organization, either in quarterback or coach, some want both. We try to make sense of things, discuss what is going on, and our listeners weigh in on the issues this week. What we discussed: Email from Mitch in San FranciscoWe address McNabbâs confidence level and how he has been talking to the mediaEmail from Holden in LouisianaEmail from Phil in EnglandWhy did the Eagles go long again on 3rd and short yardage? How is this making sense to Reid at this point, when it has not been working, and anticipated by Defenses?Bad coaching decisions yet again, just awfulDid Lurie make the call on benching McNabb?  Was it Reid?  In either truth, both are out of character for the respective peopleEmail from Alistair in AustraliaIn a blog comment, Susan calls out the players and the coaches, both todayâs and in the pastReid, McNabb, Reid, McNabbâ we just go back and forth about the mess we witnessed this weekEric and Todd both feel that Reid is done with McNabb for the season, despite McNabbâs call to start against the Arizona Cardinals on ThanksgivingEric calls for the win against Arizona in big fashion, 38-17 Share with us, and weâll promise nothing: Email: fans [at] EaglesFanCast.net Voicemail Line: 1(856)335-3675 Follow EFC on twitter: twitter.com/EaglesFanCast

EaglesFanCast 41 - Predictability
Show Notes: Episode 41 for Tuesday, November 18, 2008 The hapless Philadelphia Eagles lose to tie the Cincinnati Bengals on the road. We start off raging against Andy Reid, and manage to keep that same tone towards him through the whole show.  We also are amazed at McNabbâs lack of knowledge of the gameâs rules, and simply cannot understand how this team with so much talent can now be in this situation with a coach who seems to have lost his ability. Itâs a rough show, but as this show is by Eagles fans, what else can we do but be honest? It is about this team, and itâs hurting right now. What we discussed: Eagles tie the Cincinnati Bengals 13-13, and this is as bad as any lossThe team had no energy at all on OffenseThere were 58 passing attempts, and 15 rushing attemptsâ when your quarterback was again struggling and eventually turned it over four timesA post over on Bleeding Green Nation talks stats about the unbalanced play calling in the last two weeks against the Giants and the BengalsEric talks about how Bengals cornerback Johnathan Joseph talks about how predictable the Eagles Offense has become, and he was ready for itAndy Reid has become predictable and continues to show his inability to adjustWe have an angry email from Chris Brown railing against Reid and this OffenseMcNabbâs comments following the game were ludicrous, especially with not knowing the rules of the game he has played for so longWe get a âtiredâ email from Aussie MikeWe have an email from Holden Fulco with his reaction to the Giants game, yet the same comments apply eerily to this Bengals gameWe talk about how the Reid - McNabb team is now 4-14 in the Division since the Super Bowl (thanks to Hollis for this in the comments section from last weekâs post) Vent and rage, youâll feel better (no guarantees): Email: fans [at] EaglesFanCast.net Voicemail Line: 1(856)335-3675 Follow EFC on twitter: twitter.com/EaglesFanCast Visit our main website at http://www.EaglesFanCast.net

EaglesFanCast 40 - Anything Can Happen
Show Notes: Episode 40 for Wednesday, November 12, 2008 The Philadelphia Eagles lose to the New York Giants 36-31 at home.  The Lincoln Financial Field crowd was stunned after a series of missteps, predominantly from the coaching staff, cost them the game.  A lot of questions have arisen in this latest loss to yet another NFC East Division rival.  Confidence in the coaching has been lost, and the fans wonder what can change when your Executive VP of Football Operations and Head Coach are the same person.  At just over the halfway point for the season, and with the Division being so tough, hopes are already starting to wane for our playoff chances. What we discussed: We talk about the Giants game, and some of the frustrationsGiants ran all over the Eagles, and we couldnât stop themThe Eagles running was flacid, and it appears that Brian Westbrook is not 100%Donovan McNabb was tired at the end of the game, and we wonder how this can still be happeningAndy Reid cost them this game; his play-calling, lack of adjustment, and what we feel may be stubbornness, has now made this team mediocreâCaffinationâ (Paul) on twitter made a great comment that he wants a âGruden factorâ, meaning Dungy built the team and Gruden won the Super BowlWe find it hard to find a positive from the game, other than Chris Gocongâs huge hit on Brandon JacobsA poll on Bleeding Green Nation shows that Andy Reidâs approval rating is 19%Playoff-wise, this team is in a very deep hole nowâ losing three Division gamesWe go over the remaining schedule for the Eagles, Giants, and Cowboys, and look at a few other NFC teamsDirecTV is searching for the ultimate displaced fan.  The winner goes to Super Bowl XLIII in Tampa. EaglesFanCast 39 - Big Week
Show Notes: Episode 39 for Wednesday, November 5, 2008 The Philadelphia Eagles get off to a slow start against the Seattle Seahawks this week, but regroup in a huge way ultimately defeating the Seahawks 26-7.  McNabb struggled early then went on a 20 for 21 streak and ultimately wound up with 349 passing yards and two TDâs.  Those went to returning Receiver Reggie Brown and Offensive Lineman Todd Herremans (WHAT!?).  The Eagles Defense also stifled the hapless Seahawks Offense after the 1st Quarter, 90-yard play and made them punt eleven times.  This coming week the Eagles welcome the New York Giants to town for a Sunday night NFC East street fight at a very unwelcoming Lincoln Financial Field. What we discussed: The Philadelphia Phillies win the World Series, and throw the biggest parade in the cityâs history.Chuck and Eric went to the Phillies parade and talk about their experiencesDonovan McNabb was horrible in the first quarter of the gameAndy Reid refused, again, to deviate from hist scripted plays, and thus didnât help McNabbâs rusty play by running the ball earlyBrent Celek has a breakout game because L.J. We start off talking about the Philadelphia Phillies in the World Series, and how Game 5 is suspended because of two days of bad weatherDonovan McNabbâs play early was bad, but he relaxed and excelled the rest of the gameBrian Westbrook was a rushing machine, and had 22 rushes. Show Notes: Episode 33 for Tuesday, September 23, 2008 The Philadelphia Eagles took on the Pittsburgh Steelers at Lincoln Financial Field and smother the Steeler Offense for a 15-6 victory. The Eagles Defense was the side to step up big this game, swarming the confused Steeler quarterbacks and getting nine sacks in the process. If his sons were not involved in legal issues, and the Eagles were still 1-3, do you think Reid's performance would still be a huge issue? Are you concerned about the number of injuries that the Eagles have suffered so far, or is it just a simple part of the game that happens every year?As McNabb's scrambling abilities diminish, does a pocket passer still fit into this offensive scheme, or do you feel the scheme has changed accordingly? How would you evaluate the entire coaching staff of the Eagles through the first four games? With Dallas dominant and putting up impressive numbers, how crucial are the next few weeks for the Eagles before meeting them for the first time in November? The Eagles have been criticized for not pursuing a big-name receiver to compliment McNabb and Westbrook, despite being so far under the salary cap... what are your thoughts?
