Stefan Gates speaks with Rhona Templar

Simon Reeve
Simon Reeve is a bestselling author and the presenter of the acclaimed BBC ‘adventure journalism’ TV series Equator, Tropic of Capricorn and Tropic of Cancer, his new BBC2 series, for which he’s traveled around the northern border of the Tropics region. His travels have taken him to more than 90 countries, and he’ll be appearing at the Destinations show on February 6th and 7th, and in Birmingham on 6th March.

David Shukman

Gareth Scurlock from Times Online speaks to the BBC's Dan Cruickshank
This week Gareth Scurlock, deputy travel editor at the Times Online catches up with  Dan Cruickshank via mobile phone as he sets off on another awe inspiring journey. Dan Cruickshank is a regular presenter on the BBC, best known for his popular series âAround the World in 80 Treasuresâ and its accompanying book. Ken Hames in conversation with Cath Urquhart - Times Travel Editor
This year one of the faces of the Show the Ken Hames gave a enthralling talk in the Meet The Expert Theatre. Hear him on this exclusive podcast as he talks with Cath Urquhart, The Times Travel Editor. Ken recounts tales of his time in the Special Forces as well as his incredible experiences in the TV series Beyond Boundaries and Mission Africa. The first series saw Ken leading an expedition of disabled people (one of whom was blind), across Nicaragua, from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean in a record breaking 300 km trek starting in the Mosquito Coast and ending one month later as a world first. Whilst in Ken's second project he took a group of young apprentice builders to Kenya to build an eco lodge and game reserve to protect the endangered species that lived there.

Ken Hames Since leaving an impressive military career, real life, action hero, Ken Hames has brought a unique slant on the many documentaries that he has written and presented for TV. His latest series, Beyond Boundaries was broadcast on BBC2 from the last week in September. Jake Meyer Interview
Jake Meyer When Jake was just fourteen years old he set himself the challenge of becoming the youngest person to climb the 7 Summits; the highest mountain on each continent. On the 4th June 2005 he achieved his dream, standing on top of Everest; he became the youngest Briton at just 21 to conquer the worlds highest peak via the difficult North Col route as well as the youngest man in the world to complete the 7 Summits, breaking several climbing records on the way.
