CopCAST - Episode 149 - Car Wash
The skies have finally cleared in Virginia, I unloaded the animals and torn apart the Ark. What a fun week of virtually non-stop rain. However, the sun always shines on the digital command center and CopCAST is always bright and cheery. Again this week, I was able to tap into the vast redneck wisdom of our very own Two Girls From Utah to get their perspective on last week?s show. The girls talk about s*x toys and rap songs. I sent them but they weren't mine. How would I know sausage didn't smell like that? You could put an eye out with our keynote story this week. Rapping with the Hip Hop Cops. It is hard to tell the good guys from the bad guys in a Florida jail. Check out the video at: http://www.officer.com/web/online/Top-News-Stories/Inmates-Rescue-Fla-Deputy-Being-Attacked/1$49188. "I am them." Two militants "bear-ly" escape and two don't. I have a new hero - Kimberly Munley. This week we have another installment of the Tales From George's Pocketbook, our audio segment from our brother officers Great Britain. You know sometimes it seems that everyone else is always enjoying themselves and having a good time while the police are running around after them saving them from their own actions. Check out the Empty Hand Control Instructor Course put on by ARMA Training. The course will be conducted January 25 - 29, 2010 in Lexington, South Carolina. The cost is $595. Contact Info: http://www.armatraining.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&id=100&Itemid=209 Sgt. Don Wieder - 803-785-2407. In a recent article on PoliceOne.com, Ken Wallentine gave his take on the top cases of the 2008-2009 term of the United States Supreme Court. Listen each week as we review the 12 cases or visit http://www.policeone.com/legal/articles/1964272-12-Supreme-Court-cases-affecting-cops/ to read the article. So download this week's show, grab a cup of hot apple cider, kick back on the recliner and fire up the iPod. Remember to stay safe, always wear your vest and have a great week!

CopCAST - Episode 148 - Puppy Love II
This has been another busy week with some things falling apart and some things coming together. One of the things that fell apart was Michael's AOL Instant Messenger program but we were able to salvage the show using Skype. The Golden Corral's 9th annual Military Appreciation Monday dinner will be held on Monday, November 16, 2009, from 5 to 9 pm in all Golden Corral restaurants nationwide. To locate a Golden Corral near you, visit: http://www.goldencorral.com/locator. You know last week we had one of the highest download rates in months but no one sent me an email - UNACCEPTABLE! We really like to hear from our listeners so if you have a comment, a suggestion or a good cop story, send us an e-mail at talkback@copcast.net. Again this week, I was able to tap into the vast redneck wisdom of our very own Two Girls From Utah to get their perspective on last week's show. I was a little disgusted about the amount of fawning they do over Michael's mere presence but I let it slide. The girls talk about permanent markers, snakes and boobies. Daddy mayor is upset. Don't flip off the judge. Nice hood ornament you have there buddy. Cyber crime tops illegal drugs in the money made department. Our keynote story this week is all about puppy love. Steal my pumpkin - PLEASE! McDonald's patrons get a bad rap. Whatever it takes to bail out a brother. Get enlightened at the Christian bookstore. Why was he walking around with his wife's sex toys. We have another installment of the Tales From George's Pocketbook, our audio segment from our brother officers Great Britain. Every one of us feels that compulsion to be there quickly to help those that need helping, but it's worth remembering that you actually have to get there to be of any help. This week we are spotlighting the 34th Annual International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Law Enforcement Information Management Section Training Conference and Exposition in Atlanta, GA, May 24-27, 2010. Sign up before February 5, 2010 and save $50 - The fee for IACP members is $350 and Non-IACP member is $40. CopCAST - Episode 147 - Watch Your Mouth
Again, I am running a little late but this should be the last time that it happens. A little schedule change should take care of this weekend interference. Regardless, when you see what we packed into this week's show, you will know it was worth the wait. You can receive AMBER Alerts on your cell phone. Just visit www.wirelessamberalerts.org. Again this week, I was able to get together with our very own Two Girls From Utah to get their perspective on last week's show. This is a killer nurse. Whitehouse.gov goes open source. Two burglars have a permanent mark on there faces and their records. I think baseball sucks and so does she. He was just kidding dude - put the heat away. The weight of stealing is just too great. When dad says stop drumming he means it. In our keynote story a couple is arrested for good clean discipline. That X stuff always gets you in trouble. Nice lizard you got there big boy. You know lots of people love to see a well turned out officer. Some of them have a somewhat unhealthy attraction for them admittedly, but there are also some officers who feel they are fashion icons strutting their thing on the catwalk. George isn't having any of that this week. Don't miss the Grant Writing Workshop in Roanoke, VA, December 14-15, 2009. Tuition is $425. For more information please visit: http://grantwritingusa.com/events/write/rova1209.html Learn how Arizona v. Gant changes the search and seizure landscape. CopCAST - Episode 146 - Half The Man
Some weeks nothing seems to go right and this was one of those weeks. You know, around here we anxiously await the return of Michael, our part-time co-host. Well he paid us a visit this week but unfortunately Garageband ate the first half of his tracks. I recorded the first half of the show and Michael will join us in the middle of the show. I promise to do better in the future. The Two Girls From Utah stopped by to give us their picks of the week from last week's show and a little redneck wisdom. So here is what to get this week. They got her, boy - now what? Text crasher. Punched, kicked and scratched. How mean can a kid be? Cruising in a cruiser. Citizen's arrest. Let me help you with that . . . suicide? Does it or does the trooper tase? The dope ain't mine man. Asleep at the switch - or under the bed. This week we have another installment of the Tales From George's Pocketbook, our audio segment from our brother officers Great Britain. Don't ever get between George and an arrest, he may be an instructor and had his fair share of arrests himself but that doesn't mean that his probationer or anyone else is guaranteed a prisoner once he's got the scent. Be vewy, vewy qwiet and you may just learn a thing or two. For information about a variety of police bicyclist training courses, visit ipmba.org. The Milton, GA PD has an opening for a police officer. CopCAST - Episode 145 - Political Ninja
Where has October gone? We are already deep into football season, it is starting to get cold and they got 8" of snow in State College, PA for the Penn State homecoming game. It won't be long before we are all out doing accident reports as a result of the weather. Might as well just stay indoors and listen to this week's show. Before we get started, this is the last week I expect to have no email - so start typing. The Two Girls From Utah stopped by again this week to give us their take on last week's show. They gave us the naked truth. Ignorance of the law is no excuse. P*ss on those cops - or at least their station house. Just stick your dope in the bowl. A casket and a ransom note. Give that gun back - it doesn't belong to you. I will not rob banks. He missed court but he had a good reason. Our keynote story is all about politics and ninjas. Someone stole my dope, man! Better late than never. This week we have another installment of the Tales From George's Pocketbook, our audio segment from our brother officers Great Britain. You know, there are times when we all have to realise that no matter how capable we are and how well we control things around us, there are times when you are completely powerless to do anything. That's possibly the hardest thing for a police officer to ever accept. This week I want to let you know that the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety will be conducting a Police Motorcycle Instructor Training in Portsmouth, Virginia starting on November 2. Check it out at Website: https://nucps.northwestern.edu/course/crs_detail.asp?id=1374. You can also call or email Sam Pettineo at nucps@northwestern.edu or (800) 323 - 4011. This week I want to announce that the Virginia Association of Chiefs of Police is looking for a Law Enforcement Policy and Training Specialist for its new Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Program. Check it out at http://www.vachiefs.org/jobs/item/law_enforcement_policy_training_specialist_domestic_violence_sexual_assault/. So download the show, pour yourself a cold one, kick back in the recliner and have a laugh. Remember to stay safe, always wear your vest and have a great week.

CopCAST - Episode 144 - Shaggin' Wagon
A police officer may work from sun to sun but a daddy's work is never done. I know I am a day late and more than a dollar short but I had to help my son get his castle in shape this weekend. Life is all about priorities and decisions. But this week's show is worth the wait. As usual, the Two Girls From Utah take a humorous look at their favorite stories from last week. The Jetstar's public relations team had to take off and do some damage control as a result of a Facebook friendly flight attendant. How far would you go for a few bucks? If you don't support the death penalty, you haven't heard about what this Australian man did to his daughter. Don't mess with this kid's cell phone. Sign up for the Illegal Alien Driving School. Beer in a baby bottle - really? The cops are looking for a pudgy backyard dancer in Dallas. Our keynote story this week is all about enjoying the ride. They are heroes whether they like it or not. They once were lost but now they're found - well kinda. This week's installment of the Tales From George's Pocketbook, our audio segment from our brother officers Great Britain is fantastic - as usual. Just like Rizo says at the beginning of every submission from George, he spends his working life solving family disputes that have taken a lifetime to evolve and in some cases a great deal of cheap alcohol. Check out the Odyssey Adventure Racing Land Navigation Clinics in Roanoke, VA. The dates are Oct. 17, 2009, Nov. 14, 2009 and Dec. 12, 2009 and the cost is $150. For details visit: http://www.oarevents.com/events/2008/navigation_clinic.shtml. Check out the Dazor speckFinder HD digital computing microscope at http://www.speckfinder.com/. Like I said, this is an information packed show and well worth the wait. So grab a cup of coffee or an energy drink before you start to listen because you will need the energy boost to keep up. Remember to stay safe, always wear your vest and have a great week!

CopCAST - Episode 143 - Bull Roper
This has been a busy week but our CopCAST correspondents have risen to the challenge again. They have scoured the internet to bring you the best of the best. The Two Girls From Utah stopped by to discuss cornrows. See what else they have to say. Gas is getting expensive but do you have to give up your first born son now? Dialing for jail in Dallas. Who wants ME? Rob and love - so romantic. Burn the dummy or at least demote her. To text or not to text that is the question. Does anyone really win a p*ss*ng contest? Stop that man! Our keynote story is a lot of bull. Hot Dog! I'm going to jail! George is off on another break this week so here is another story from the CopCast Legion of Listeners, this time we hear from long time contributor Sergeant TC. He tells a simple tale about the sort of colleague that we've all known, who helps to make those long shifts pass a little easier. If all that sounds crazy, it is. So download the show and join the fun - go a little nuts. Remember to stay safe, always wear your vest and have a great week!

CopCAST - Episode 142 - No Foot Pursuits
It is beginning to feel like fall on the East coast with cooler temperatures but it has rained for the last few days. The one sunny spot is this week's show. The Two Girls From Utah stopped by and they could not resist talking about the Passion Pants story from the last show. See what else they have to say. The briefing room was full of great stories beginning with our keynote story but don't run to listen to it. Walk over to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2GrRG9p_8w and watch the associated interview. No rows of corn in Philadelphia. Don't ride your Barbie car at your next drunken party. An Emu will Tase. It was a creamy Alfredo sauce jar. A naked dirty Harry in Florida. Would you like fries with your dope and gun? Narc detectives go Wii, Wii, Wii all the way home. Making a 14 year old sexual dominatrix deserves gets mom and boyfriend 25 years. Now everyone can describe the robbers. This week George learns that the Bavarian two fingered nose-throw is all very well, but when you're in a scrap there are no holds barred, he favors the use of his primary assets when it comes to restraining prisoners. CopCAST - Episode 141 - Dumpster Diver
You know I have never been able to figure out why people want to work day shift. It has messed my CopCAST production schedule all up. But I did better than last week. I have to take pride where I can get it. The 2 Girls From Utah are back and even sassier. Discretion is the operative word. One for three is still 330 in baseball. Crack for clunkers. Our keynote story this week is dumpster divers. She may have killed someone but her nails look great. Right place - wrong time. Vibrating Passion Pants. War in hell especially when re-enacting. Why they call it High Street. Facebook fanatic. It seems it's not just George that manages to get in a mess, this week it's his friend that has to deal with a pussy with minge. On December 10th an Anti-Terrorism Training For First Responders course will be conducted in Chesterfield, VA. Sign up at http://www.vaemergency.com/train/antiterrorism_for_firstResponders.cfm. CopCAST - Episode 140 - Pop The Cork
Well better late than never. The CopCAST crew has been buried so the show is a little late this week. Shell had a very close friend pass away so the girls will be back next week. Stop by Cops Online and leave a note of condolence on Hell's Bunny's page. Some people can be so smart and so dumb, almost in the same breath. Timing is everything in life and crime. Our keynote story this week is hot and popping. Joy riding is fun but in a police car, really? Manners are very important. Tasers help stop the bull. The dream drug bust. The chances of this plan being successful are sinking. Cannon fodder. Nothing says I love you like a little extortion. This week George teaches us another life lesson. You see everyone has a bad week, even George. Those are the times when absolutely nothing seems to go right and just when you thought nothing else could go wrong ... it does. I know it is late so hurry up and listen to the show. Remember to stay safe, always wear your vest and have a great week.
