| Audio Gaijin 2 for May 14, 2006 - More Karuizawa | Welcome to Audio Gaijin Episode 2!
Long before the Japanese comic fad hit the shores of the US, we were gaijin, strangers in a strange land. This podcast is about the experiences of an American family in Japan in the 70's and 80's, in a part of Japan where gaijin were pretty much unheard of at the time.
Episode 2 covers more about Karuizawa as remembered by dad and myself. Dad talks about the language school where he first started learning Japanese, our neighbors and fellow gaijin, and what Karuizawa was like to live in.
In the next episode of this bi-weekly podcast, we will talk about moving to Kagoshima, give an overview of Japanese geography, and talk about the differences that face gaijin in Kagoshima vs Karuizawa.
